Chapter 1233: Chapter 1233: Keep It for Now

Jack Stewart knew the entertainment industry the best.

After finishing her speech, Hannah turned and left.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, just about to leave, when Hannah suddenly turned around and gestured to John Lynch. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Blue-haired boy, yes, I’m talking to you. Follow me. I’m in a good mood today and feel like backing someone up."

John stood there stunned, suddenly overcome by a dizzying sense of being struck by a pleasant surprise, and felt lighter than air.

He felt like crying.

He hurriedly followed Hannah’s steps, ignoring the resentful glares from a few people behind him.

On the way back, they encountered quite a few people coming out of the venue.

There were actors and directors, and even a few investors who were well known in the circle.

And all these people greeted Hannah.

Whether it was heartfelt or just for show, they did what was expected.

Occasionally, someone would gaze at John.

It seemed like they were sizing him up, but there was also an ambiguous undertone.

John’s head hung even lower, feeling embarrassed.

Hannah, on the other hand, didn’t care and openly admitted, "Just saved this poor kid, planning to pull some strings for him."

Upon hearing this, everyone quickly looked away.

They went along with Hannah’s narrative.

"The people Miss Winter takes interest in must have potential. It just so happens that I have a project lacking a secondary male lead, and I think he’s quite suitable."

"A supporting role? I’m missing a main lead here. As long as he’s handsome and has passable acting, he’ll do."

"There are many newcomers in the circle, and if Movie Queen Winter is willing to give newcomers a chance, we should certainly follow her lead."

John, who was used to being mistreated, froze for the first time when faced with such kindness from so many people.

He was overwhelmed with favor.

But the daze lasted only a moment, as he sneakily glanced at Hannah standing in front of him, saw the smile on her lips, lowered his head, and whispered, "I’m just a newcomer with no acting experience, so... I’m sorry, I might not be suitable for these roles."

The young man, just of age, exuded an aura of naivety and nervousness.

When rejected, no one said much, instead, they praised him for his modesty.

At this point, Hannah spoke again, "Keep the opportunities, whether he can seize them is up to him."

Everyone naturally nodded in agreement.

As Hannah left, John quickly followed.

He followed her all the way to her resting room.

John blushed.

Hannah turned around just in time to see him, his face shy, which she found amusing, "What are you thinking about?"

John’s face reddened even more, and it took him a while to muster, "Nothing... nothing at all."

Just then, the door of the resting room opened from the inside.

Jack Stewart appeared, his face filled with urgency, only focusing on Hannah, "Where did you go?"

She said, "Being a Good Samaritan."

Jack was still angry, "I think you’re talking nonsense."

"Really," Hannah said sincerely, "If you don’t believe me, ask him."

She pointed to the young man behind her.

The young man was tall, with a handsome and refined appearance, giving off a naive yet gentle vibe.

Indeed, he was good-looking, but similarly typed male stars were all too common in the entertainment industry.

Louis Snyder was a prime example.

Uninterested, Jack glanced at him briefly and then pulled Hannah aside to whisper, "Hannah Winter, you tell me the truth, did you have a fight with Arnold Simmons?"

Hannah was bewildered.

Jack had no choice but to rephrase, just as he was about to speak, he saw John looking their way and promptly shut the door.

John, locked out, stood there stunned and looked around.
