Time passed quickly, and soon school was over. Hiroshi was walking towards the school gate with the three girls.
"Today was amazing! I feel like I’ve gained three goddesses," Hiroshi said, happily throwing his arms up.
Hanako smiled. "Hiroshi, you’re quite the smooth talker. I have to say, you’re a pretty good guy. Your grades may not be great, but you seem reliable."
Hiroshi smiled and modestly replied, "Thank you."
Suddenly, they noticed a large group of students gathered, seemingly arguing.
"Look! It looks like a fight or something. So many people are gathered there!" Harumiko exclaimed, the first to notice.
"Yeah, we didn’t see that before. Let’s go check it out!" Aya said, pulling Harumiko and Hanako towards the crowd.
Hiroshi shook his head as they ran off. "Aya is so different from the other two. She’s so carefree, unlike them."
He sighed and walked towards the crowd.
"What’s going on here? I hear Ichiryu’s voice," Hiroshi heard as he approached the edge of the crowd.
"Stop it! Hiroshi didn’t cheat!"
"Are you kidding me? He’s always been dead last. If he didn’t cheat, how could he get a perfect score? Did he suddenly get stronger?
No way! He was always bullied. He couldn’t have gotten that strong overnight! He cheated!"
Hiroshi recognized Ichiryu’s voice instantly.
"If you keep slandering our god, we’ll—"
Before the student could finish, Hiroshi approached, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you, my friend. You’ve done enough. Let me handle this," Hiroshi said, smiling.
"God..." the student whispered.
Hiroshi smiled, then turned to face Ichiryu.
"Hiroshi... what are you doing here?" Ichiryu stammered, remembering his past defeats.
Hiroshi smiled. "Is there a rule against me being here? I heard a dog barking nonsense as I was leaving.
Sounds like someone is slandering me. I need to prove myself. Otherwise, who knows where that dog will bite next?"
