Chapter 52: The Royal Star-Gardens.
The midnight-blue elven formal silks felt deceptively light, yet the material possessed a dense, woven quality that rippled like liquid shadow under the crystals of the guest suite.
Tailored to absolute perfection, the fabric clung tightly across Vince’s broad shoulders and dense, muscular chest—a physical frame completely reshaped and optimized by his recently acquired Tier 4 baseline parameters.
The subtle silver runes embroidered along the collar pulsed with a faint, cooling magical properties meant to regulate body temperature, but to Vince, it was just comfortable clothing.
Before stepping toward the exit, Vince tilted his head down, bringing the purple system interface back into his line of sight for a final calibration review.

A faint, satisfied smirk touched his lips as the digital window faded into static. The system was completely settled. The physical strain from the sub-sonic acceleration of Gale Step had already been entirely repaired by his passive elven adaptation factors. He was, for all intents and purposes, in peak condition.
Sliding his hands casually into the deep pockets of the trousers, Vince pushed open the heavy wooden doors and stepped out into the corridor.
There were no handmaidens waiting to guide him this time. The path had been completely cleared of all servants and guards, an explicit instruction from the crown to ensure absolute secrecy.
Vince followed the sweeping, curved hallways carved from the petrified heartwood until he reached the primary trunk elevator—a massive, hollowed-out root structure driven by high-tier gravitational mana crystals.
As he stepped onto the polished wooden platform, the crystal matrix flared into a bright violet hue. The platform surged upward, ascending with a smooth, silent velocity that carried him past the military sectors, past the royal residential tiers, and directly into the absolute highest, most restricted apex of the capital tree.
The Royal Star-Gardens.
DING.
The elevator platform ground to a gentle halt, the wooden partitions sliding away to reveal a breathtaking, bioluminescent paradise that seemed to exist entirely outside the mortal world.
High above the clouds, the night sky was an absolute canvas of brilliant, unfiltered starlight.
Below, the entire elven kingdom stretched out like a sprawling sea of glittering green and gold lanterns, completely silent in the wake of the evening’s terror. But within the garden itself, the air was thick with the sweet, intoxicating scent of silver-leaf roses and night-blooming orchids. Soft purple and silver flora grew along the petrified paths, casting a ethereal, luminescent glow over a private, secluded clearing.
And standing directly in the center of that clearing, looking out over the edge of the wooden precipice, was the Queen.
Vince stopped a few paces away, his heavy strides making no sound against the moss-covered path as he calmly took in the view.
The Queen was completely stripped of her heavy, imposing military armor and. She wore an exceptionally elegant, form-fitting evening gown crafted from deep emerald silk that shifted dangerously with every shallow breath she took. The dress was masterfully designed, clinging to her sweeping, voluptuous hips and dramatically accentuating her famously busty frame with a plunging neckline that left very little to the imagination. Her sun-kissed skin practically glowed under the pale starlight, her long silver hair falling over one smooth shoulder.
Yet, despite her breathtaking appearance, her posture was completely rigid. Her hands gripped the petrified wood railing, her amber eyes reflecting a volatile, swirling battleground of deep humiliation and reluctant, undeniable fascination.
"You are precisely on time,"
the Queen said smoothly, her voice carrying a sharp, defensive edge as she turned around slowly to face him. Her gaze scanned his tailored outfit, her eyes lingering on his relaxed posture.
"I was half-convinced you would use this opportunity to try and slip into our royal vaults instead."
"And miss out on a promise?"
Vince asked, his purple eyes meeting hers without a single shred of hesitation. He walked past her, entirely unbothered by her royal aura, and approached a low, beautifully carved petrified-wood table set for two near the center of the terrace.
Resting on the table was a chilled, crystal decanter filled with a deep violet, high-tier elven vintage wine, alongside two delicate silver chalices.
Without waiting for her to be seated, and without the slightest hint of traditional chivalry, Vince pulled out a chair for himself and sat down. He leaned back comfortably, crossing one leg over the other as he reached for the crystal decanter.
"Sit down, Your Highness,"
Vince said calmly, pouring the rich, aromatic liquid into his own chalice first before pushing the decanter loosely toward her side of the table.
"You look like you’re standing before a firing squad. I thought we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves."
The Queen’s jaw tightened, a visible flush of angry color rising to her flawless cheeks. To be addressed with such casual disrespect—to be treated like an ordinary citizen by a magicless human within her own sacred star-gardens—was a psychological blow that hit harder than any physical strike.
"You possess a truly monstrous level of audacity,"
she hissed, her exceptionally busty frame heaving with an angry, controlled breath as she walked over and sat directly opposite him. Her sweeping hips settled into the wooden chair with a sharp, rigid grace.
"You stand in the heart of my empire, and having a date as was agreed, yet it seems you don’t possess the qualities of a gentleman."
"what qualities are you looking out for your highness?"
Vince replied smoothly, taking a slow, casual sip of the high-tier wine. The liquid was smooth, instantly reacting with his system to provide a minor, temporary amplification to his passive stamina recovery, though he didn’t really need it.
The queen didn’t answer, rather she just kept a steady gaze.
He set the chalice down with a soft click, his purple eyes locking onto hers with a cold, predatory intelligence.
"I only asked for the date hoping I could win your heart."
The Queen leaned forward slightly, her amber eyes burning into his face, her hands folding over the tabletop.
"And what makes you think I’d fall in love with the likes of you? Do you truly believe a single evening of my compliance is enough to earn my love? Or is this merely a stepping stone to something far more dangerous?"
Vince’s lips curved into a slow, mocking, highly confident grin. He leaned forward as well, his deadpan mask completely cracking to reveal the absolute dominance he held over the entire arrangement.
"Let’s just say It would be a lot more better if it was enough."
Vince whispered.
