Chapter 681: Chapter 681: Here to Settle the Score with You

"Rochelle, I know it’s hard for you to accept the truth right now, but... I hope you can forgive me."

"Melody," Mrs. Thorne’s gaze on them contained a hint of worry, "I saw the news, are you alright?"

Jared Quinn’s face was dark and heavy, but at this moment, he had to take the blame and let the rumors spread to catch the hidden adversary.

"Mom, don’t worry, Jared and I are fine," Melody Thorne smiled. "You should go back now, I’ll explain everything to you in a couple of days."

"Alright, remember your dad and I are here if you need anything, don’t let yourself feel wronged," Mrs. Thorne glanced at Jared with a hint of disapproval.

Melody Thorne: "...Okay, mom, don’t worry, we’ll resolve this matter."

"Alright."

"Mr. Quinn," the security had already caught the man who threw the rocks. He looked like a hooligan, and once in Jared Quinn’s hands, he quickly ratted out Rochelle Thorne!

"So," Melody Thorne pulled out a wad of money from her bag, "just as that woman instructed you to throw rocks at me, you throw them at her in return. This money is yours. Remember, don’t harm her life!"

"Okay, okay," the man, eyes wide with excitement, loved nothing more than making money by throwing things around—he could earn quite a bit in two days!

"Mr. Quinn, someone at the airport called saying Howard Seymour has arrived," Simon Sutton hurriedly emerged from the company.

"My dad?" Melody Thorne glanced at Jared Quinn, probably having heard the news, Howard came over especially. Have things been resolved on the Seymour side?

"Is Howard Seymour the lady’s father?" Simon Sutton’s expression was almost exaggerated, as if he could fit a whole egg in his mouth, and he cast a sympathetic glance at his own boss. "Do you think your father-in-law is here to settle accounts with you?"

Jared Quinn’s face darkened rapidly, not only because of the current situation but also due to a previous conflict with Melody Thorne when returning from the Seymour side. Howard Seymour likely didn’t have a good impression of him.

"Prepare to greet him, and arrange accommodations at the hotel."

"Yes."

Airport.

Private jet passage, Howard Seymour was pushed out by the bodyguards behind him. His eyes were cloudy yet sharp. He hadn’t brought many people this time, keeping a low profile.

"Dad," Melody Thorne approached, "why’d you come so suddenly without letting anyone know?"

Howard Seymour looked at the two standing before him and then at his daughter’s expression, reassuring himself that Melody was not mistreated here. His tense brows slowly relaxed.

"With such serious incidents, how could I not come? Remember, whatever you want to do, the Seymour Family has your back. Do what you want!"

"I know, Dad," Melody Thorne took the wheelchair from the bodyguard. "Let’s head back first; standing here draws too much attention, and I’m worried journalists will twist the story, especially at this moment."

"Let me," Jared Quinn naturally took the wheelchair from Melody’s hands, exuding an elegant and noble demeanor.

"You take the front car; he and I have some things to discuss," Howard Seymour said.

Melody worriedly looked at the two, "Dad, don’t do anything rash. I’ll explain everything that happened over the past few days, but now isn’t the right time."

The person behind Wendy Lynch hasn’t been caught yet.

"Don’t worry, go ahead," Jared Quinn said, signaling her to leave first.
