Ethan and Mia, you guys go ahead. I have some work to do. I will catch up with you in the middle area of the ruin. See you later.

Before any one of them could respond to Kent, he just vanished into the fog using his flashing steps.

Whoosh!

[A new area]

The ancient battlefield ruins were as eerie as ever. The fog was thick, the air was heavy with spiritual energy, and the occasional screeches of ghouls echoed in the distance. But for Kent, it was the perfect backdrop for what he considered a "genius" idea.💡!

With his bag brimming with spiritual fruits, vegetables, and repaired tools, Kent decided it was time to turn his loot into profit. The students scattered across the ruins were desperate, hungry, and scared—prime customers in Kent’s eyes.

"Alright, system," Kent muttered, rubbing his hands together like a scheming villain. "Time to turn this place into the first-ever Battlefield Bazaar. I’ll be the richest cultivator in no time!"

Ding!

System Notification:

"Host’s idea is questionable but approved. SP farming potential: high."

Kent grinned. "Questionable, huh? We’ll see about that."

Kent found a small clearing surrounded by broken pillars and shattered statues, the perfect spot for his "shop." He grabbed a few flat stones and arranged them into a makeshift table.

Next, he pulled out his treasures: glowing spiritual fruits, shiny (but mostly useless) spiritual tools, and even a few bags of spiritual vegetables from the farm.

To add flair, Kent took a spiritual orange and balanced it on top of a dagger, like a beacon.

"Perfect!" he said, stepping back to admire his work. "Now all I need are some customers."

But the ruins weren’t precisely bustling with foot traffic. Kent scratched his head, thinking.

"How do I get people to come here?" he muttered.

Suddenly, a mischievous grin spread across his face.

Kent climbed onto one of the broken pillars, cupped his hands around his mouth, and shouted:

"Attention, cultivators! Tired of fighting ghouls? Hungry? Injured? BROKE?!"

His voice echoed through the ruins, catching the attention of a few nearby students who were cautiously sneaking through the fog.

"Well, worry no more!" Kent continued, pointing dramatically at his makeshift shop. "The Battlefield Bazaar is open for business! Come one, come all, and get the best fruits, tools, weapons and vegetables money—or ’SP’—can buy!"

From the shadows, a small group of students cautiously approached, their faces mixed with curiosity and scepticism.

"What... what is this?" one of them asked, eyeing the makeshift rock table.

"This," Kent said, gesturing grandly, "is salvation. Look at these spiritual fruits! They’ll restore your energy, boost your cultivation, and maybe even make you smarter!"

One of the students picked up a glowing blueberry. "How much for this?"

Kent tapped his chin, pretending to calculate. "For you, my friend, just 500 dollars!"

"500 dollars?!" the student exclaimed. "That’s outrageous!"

"Outrageous?" Kent gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. "Do you know how rare that berry is? I risked my life-fighting ghouls and dodging traps to get it! Five hundred dollars is a steal!"

Another student picked up a repaired dagger. "This looks decent. How much?"

"For you," Kent said, leaning in with a sly grin, "only 10,000 dollars."

"10,000 dollars?!" the student shouted. "It’s covered in cracks!"

"Those aren’t cracks," Kent said confidently. "They’re... battle scars. This dagger has a history. It’s not just a weapon; it’s a story waiting to be told!"

How do I pay you? I don’t have that much cash on me. And the mobile phone doesn’t have a network here. I can’t bank transfer the money.

Kent said don’t worry. I have a solution. Just give me your bank card. I have a spiritual tool that works inside the ruins. Kent had already created a spiritual card swipe machine using a small fragment of azure vain ore. (¼)

He carried his egg shop’s currently stinky momo’s shop card swipe machine with him. He knew that the students would give this excuse.

He is already prepared for that. Using his architect skills and the blank blueprint, Kent came up with this design.

(Many readers will ask why he didn’t create that or that. For Kent, now money is the most important thing. When it comes to money, he loses his mind.)

Seriously!! The student rolled his eyes but reluctantly handed over the money.

As more students arrived, Kent’s confidence grew.

"Step right up!" he shouted. "Don’t let hunger or weak tools be the reason you fail in these ruins! Buy now and survive tomorrow!"

One student pointed at a bag of vegetables. "What are these?"

"Ah, excellent question!" Kent said, holding up the bag like a prized artifact. "These are spiritual vegetables. I Plant them, water them, and watch them grow into the most nutritious vegetables you’ve ever seen!"

"Dude, stop lying?" We just came inside four days ago. How did you grow them so quickly, the student asked.

"Here, spiritual energy is thick. It only took two days to grow these!" Kent lied smoothly. "In fact, they grow so fast, you’ll have a hard time just watering them!"

Seriously. Then give me some seed. The student said.

Kent replied, I only bought a mixed packet of vegetable seeds. Otherwise, I can sell you the seeds. Why don’t you buy the vegetables? I will give you a discount.

The student hesitated but eventually handed over his bank card to Kent.

Just as Kent was basking in his success, a loud growl interrupted the scene.

From the shadows emerged a pack of ghouls, their glowing eyes fixed on the gathering of students.

"Ghouls!" someone shouted, panic spreading through the crowd.

The students scrambled, some drawing weapons while others hid behind Kent’s makeshift table.

Kent sighed, rolling up his sleeves. "Looks like I’ve got to save my customers. Again."

He grabbed a glowing fruit, infused it with his hellfire, and then hurled it at one of the ghouls.

THWACK!

The fruit exploded on impact, disintegrating the ghoul’s head.

"See? Multi-purpose products!" Kent shouted. "Buy now and fight back!"

He activated Flashing Step, zipping between the ghouls and dispatching them quickly. His hellfire-coated punches and kicks left trails of black flames, turning the monsters into ash.

Within minutes, the threat was neutralized.

As the dust settled, the students stared at Kent with a mix of awe and gratitude.

"You’re amazing!" one of them said.

"Yeah," Kent replied, brushing ash off his shoulder. "I know."

He gestured to his table. "Now, about those purchases..."

Just as Kent was about to close up shop, he noticed a familiar figure approaching through the fog.

It was Mia, her expression unreadable as she took in the scene.

"Kent," she said, crossing her arms. "What... is this?"

"Oh, hey, Mia!" Kent said, grinning nervously. "This? Just a little side hustle to support my cultivation journey."

Mia raised an eyebrow. "You’re selling fruits and tools to scared students in the middle of a ruin?"

"Hey, they need it!" Kent defended. "I’m providing a service. Besides, I’m giving them a good deal!" Why are you alone here? Where are Ethan and the others?

Mia sighed, "Only you, Kent. Only you can do something unpredictable."

Why am I alone? You asked. Some horse-riding monsters attacked us. They were very strong. We toss the dark alliance members at the beast, and then we run separate ways.

Those horse-riding monsters target groups. So I advise you to be careful by the looks of your business. It won’t be long before they come after you.

Thanks for your advice, Mia. I will be careful. Here, take this fruit you can pay me later. I am moving to a different location. Bye!

As night fell over the ruins, Kent packed up his remaining wares, his bag, and system storage, which were significantly lighter, but his bank balance and SP were substantially higher.

"That was a good day," he said, patting his pouch. "I should do this more often."

With a grin, he set off into the fog, ready for whatever chaos the ruins would throw at him next.

Unbeknownst to him, his antics had caught the attention of more than just the students and ghouls. Horse-riding monsters moved in the distance, watching and waiting.

But for Kent, the only thing on his mind was his next big sale.

Next day…..

Kent wandered deeper into the ancient battlefield graveyard ruins, his eyes scanning the foggy terrain for more treasures or, as he liked to think of them, "SP farming opportunities."

His storage was half empty, the rest of the spiritual fruits, vegetables, and broken tools waiting to be sold or repaired, but the glint of ancient weapons and armour in ruins tempted him to explore further.
