Chapter 1443: Chapter 1442 Daddy Day Care
"Plus, these are your children. I’m really looking forward to their arrival, because they truly belong to both of us," Ye Lu couldn’t help but smile with happiness, her eyes brimming with tears.
Yuanyuan and Yiyi—from the pregnancy to their birth to their growth—he hadn’t been involved at all.
But these two children—she and he would raise them together, witness their birth. This sense of reuniting as a family was more joyful than anything else, and it was what she looked forward to the most.
"Belong to both of us?" Third Young Master Jun murmured tremulously, his eyes igniting with a kind of indescribable excitement and happiness.
"Yes, they’re ours to share," Ye Lu’s smile deepened, then urgently directed him, "Quick, bring them over here. I want to see the babies."
Third Young Master loosened his hold on her and walked over to the little crib where the babies lay. Nervous and exhilarated, he gazed at the two tiny, chubby, soft little beings swaddled in cozy blankets.
The two little ones noticed a head appearing before them and curiously stared back at him with their big, gleaming, black eyes.
Gawked at by two pairs of watery eyes, Third Young Master felt as though something had struck him. His heart melted into a puddle, overflowing with indescribable joy.
These were his babies—adorable, precious little babies.
Although he was already the father of two seven-year-olds, this still felt like his first experience as a dad.
Looking at these two little milk-scented bundles, the once formidable Third Young Master—who would remain unperturbed even if Mount Tai collapsed before him—was utterly at a loss. He wanted to hold them but dared not move recklessly, even his breathing lightened unconsciously, worried about scaring them.
Even more, he feared that his clumsiness might hurt these soft little darlings.
Standing by the crib, he broke out in a sweat, completely losing his usual graceful composure.
Ye Lu saw him like this and couldn’t help but secretly giggle to herself.
Even Dr. K delighted in his misfortune: "Whoa, I never expected to see the ever-elegant and cold-headed Third Young Master looking this ridiculously clueless. This finally evens things out in my heart."
That man actually dared to call him a quack. Revenge at last.
Third Young Master narrowed his eyes at him—this vindictive guy.
But right now, he was in high spirits. With a wife and kids, life was perfect, and his mood couldn’t be better. He decided to let it slide. "Dr. K, I humbly seek your guidance on how to hold a baby. Please be kind enough to teach me."
"Didn’t you call me a quack? Quacks wouldn’t know about these things."
Third Young Master’s eye twitched involuntarily, and he helplessly lowered himself while smiling. "I apologize; I misspoke."
Dr. K lifted his chin, exuding a cool arrogance. "An apology won’t suffice. Learning requires a tuition fee—a billion dollars, or I won’t budge."
"Hmph, fine, take it. Stingy."
What a shameless demand. Third Young Master was exasperated. However, recalling how Ye Lu had been in danger earlier and how this man had stayed by her side to administer care, he felt willing to give Dr. K anything he wanted—even more than a billion.
Dr. K truly lived up to his reputation as a friend of women. After years of dealing with infants, he was actually more adept than most mothers.
He began teaching the clumsy Third Young Master how to properly hold a baby.
Finally, the novice father gently cradled his baby in his arms. Looking down, he saw the tiny, curious, and adorably dazed eyes staring wide at him. Third Young Master smiled so broadly it seemed his face might split apart. His heart was brimming with such happiness it felt as if it might burst into bubbles.
Then, holding the baby, he hurriedly went to the bedside, turned to Ye Lu, and beamed foolishly.
"Lu’er, look! Our baby moved—so cute!"
Ye Lu saw his silly grin, looking utterly satisfied, and couldn’t help but laugh. Who would have thought Third Young Master could have such an endearing side? The cold and enigmatic man she remembered from the past was truly no more.
