"No, I won’t change," Third Young Master Jun said without a shred of hesitation.
If there was a fifty percent chance, maybe he would take the risk.

Third Young Master Jun called Ye Yuan in, his hand affectionately ruffling his hair: "Yuanyuan, can Daddy trust you?"
Ye Yuan’s eyes lit up with confusion but pridefully lifted his chin: "That’s such a silly question. Are you asking me to help you with something? Just say it—I’ll make sure to get it done!"

"My Yuanyuan truly has the heart of a man. Looks like you’re ready to bear the responsibilities of one. In this family, it’s just the two of us men. If your daddy ever becomes unable to take care of your mommy and sister, you’ll need to step up and help care for them. Can you do that?"
"What do you mean by that?" Even if Ye Yuan couldn’t grasp all the implications, he could sense the unusual tone of his father’s words. An uneasy feeling stirred inside him.
Third Young Master Jun smiled faintly: "It’s nothing. But you can see I’m sick, and sometimes, I might not have the strength to manage things. So, Yuanyuan, would it be too much to ask for your help?"
Because of his illness, his daddy couldn’t look after mommy and his sister, so he was entrusting the task to him? Ye Yuan never expected such trust from his father—to be given such an important responsibility.
Ye Yuan’s eyes sparkled brightly, his excitement driving him to nod vigorously: "I’ll not only take care of them, but I’ll take care of you too!"
