Chapter 1380: Chapter 1380: Brainless

Ye Lu described her reform plan for S Company concisely yet effectively, hitting all the key points.

This provoked deep thought from quite a few investors.

By the end of her speech, she earned considerable applause. Although Yiren’s performance surpassed hers, many still appreciated Ye Lu’s courage to take risks.

"Ha, what a perfect excuse! When you fail to deliver results, you use reform as your little cover-up. Utterly laughable," Ivanov sneered with disdain. "What you’re showing here just proves that you know your abilities can’t compete with Yiren’s, so you’re trying to find an alternate path. But let’s not forget, this competition is ultimately about performance. You might paint a rosy picture about your company’s potential to investors, but who can guarantee that there will be substantial growth? A few years down the line, who knows? It might even collapse. This so-called reform is utterly meaningless. If you want to prove your worth, you need to do it through tangible performance."

Ivanov’s words, though harsh, weren’t entirely unfounded.

Investors present nodded discreetly. It was true—reforms often take time to show results, and the future is riddled with uncertainties. It’s tough to prove whether her reforms would truly be successful.

In contrast, Yiren had undeniably delivered significant results, even attracting the attention of the legendary investor Vincent, who had bought shares in her company. Vincent saw promising prospects in her business.

Upon hearing the murmured discussions from the audience, Yiren’s lips curled into a satisfied smile; investors were clearly leaning in her favor.

"I’m not doing this to prove my abilities. I’m doing this to protect the legacy my father left behind. I won’t let it be damaged by short-sighted greed," Ye Lu said calmly.

"Hmph, what a pathetic excuse," Yiren sneered dismissively. "Face it, Ye Lu. You’re no match for me. Your reform plan is nothing short of laughable. If it’s truly so promising, then why hasn’t any other company noticed its potential and sought a partnership? Your company right now is like a piece of rotten meat; it’s not attracting any investors at all."

Her unbridled contempt caused the S Company executives present to turn pale with fury, glaring at her in outrage for insulting their company so blatantly.

Even Tang Sen was fuming.

The S Company team was filled with righteous indignation, almost ready to storm up and confront her.

Ye Lu raised her hand, her gaze sharp and commanding. This silenced their impulsive anger, forcing them to swallow their emotions, even as their fury remained visible in their averted eyes.

"Because not all investors have vision," Ye Lu replied coolly.

Yiren burst into laughter. "Oh, how hilarious! You talk as if your company is a hidden gem collecting dust. Go ahead—show us which ’visionary’ investor has taken an interest in your company. What’s the matter? Don’t have one? Maybe you’ll never find one in your lifetime!"

"Who says my mom’s company doesn’t have investors interested in it?" A domineering yet childish voice interrupted the banquet.

Everyone turned to look, only to see a handsome, arrogant little boy standing at the entrance of the banquet hall. His tone was mature and his gaze dismissive.

Yiren’s laugh grew even more scornful as she glanced at Ye Lu. "So this is your so-called ’visionary investor’? This little brat? Well, I suppose it makes sense. No one with a real brain would bother with your company."

"In that case, I guess in your eyes, Vincent—the legendary investor—must be just a brainless old man!" A deep, commanding, and audacious voice suddenly resonated from behind the boy.

The room erupted in shock, as all the investors whipped around in a frenzy of excitement.
