Chapter 384: Chapter 249: Throw Them on the Bed! Must Throw Them on the Bed

The three of them watching a movie together, with Chen Yuan having a girl on each arm, sounded utterly ridiculous. If the opportunity tonight wasn’t truly one to be missed, Jiangg Ning knew she would have never agreed. To say nothing of three people sharing a single bed—if word got out, how absurd and laughable would that be?

Even if no one ever found out, her inner sense of propriety would never allow such a thing to happen.

’It’s just too debauched!’

Jiangg Yao felt the same way. On the surface, she acted like she didn’t care, but while lying on the sofa, she hadn’t let Chen Yuan enjoy the bliss of having two women at his side. She’d been secretly competing and getting jealous. The sight of her sister getting intimate with the young master made her skin crawl. How could they possibly sleep together?

She would absolutely never agree to it either.

Both of them were pure virgins who would still blush when they were alone with Chen Yuan. The three of them...

Jiangg Ning and Jiangg Yao glanced at each other, then tacitly looked away. The exact same thought surfaced in both their minds: ’I’m not letting *her* sleep with Chen!’

...

"Young Master, how many blankets do you have?" Jiangg Yao asked quietly, glancing at the only bedroom.

"Two sets. One set’s been washed but I haven’t put it on the bed yet. And there’s this throw blanket for the sofa. It should be enough."

Chen Yuan knew what Jiangg Yao was thinking. He was also contemplating the sleeping arrangements for the night. The apartment only had one bedroom, and it was unlikely the rain would stop tonight. What if another weather alert came in at three in the morning? You could never be sure with these things.

His face was etched with worry. He’d probably have to sleep on the sofa. By tomorrow, he was sure to be so sore he’d have to brace himself against the walls just to get to class.

It seemed that watching an ’educational film’ was a pipe dream, and getting a good night’s sleep was a dream within that dream.

"Then..." Jiangg Ning glanced at her sister and her lips parted slightly. "Why don’t you go sleep in the bedroom, Chen? Yaoyao and I can make do on the sofa."

The moment she finished speaking, Jiangg Yao’s eyebrows shot up. She was naturally not pleased. In her mind, it would be better for her and Chen Yuan to sleep in the bedroom since the bed was big enough for two. Her sister could sleep on the sofa alone—wouldn’t that be the perfect solution?

But she didn’t dare say it out loud. Even she knew how cruel that plan was; her sister would beat her to a pulp. She could only entertain the dark fantasy in her head.

"That’s right, Young Master. You have class tomorrow, and you haven’t rested well today. You should go to sleep... Besides, you took my sister and me in so we wouldn’t have to be out in the rain. We’re already so grateful. How could we possibly ask for more?"

Chen Yuan stared at the two of them for a moment.

"Forget it," he said flatly. "I’ll sleep on the sofa. That’s final. I’ll just suffer through tonight and catch up on rest tomorrow."

"But—"

"Listen to me," Chen Yuan interrupted what Jiangg Ning was about to say. "I’m going to go wash up now. We’ll all just sleep separately. Good night."

He rarely used such a tone that brooked no argument. He took two steps forward, walked straight past them toward the bathroom, his back radiating a weariness that said he didn’t want to speak another word. It was a vivid illustration of just how exhausting it was to be a man.

The dim yellow light illuminated Chen Yuan’s slender figure.

Jiangg Yao suddenly tugged on his clothes. "How about I sleep on the sofa too? To keep you company?"

"In your dreams!" With a BONK, Jiangg Ning rapped her on the head, her beautiful eyes narrowing. "I’ve never seen you be so considerate of others."

Jiangg Yao clutched her head, looking wronged. She pouted and glared defiantly at her sister.

"Well, I was just thinking of giving the bed to you, big sis, so you could get a good rest."

"Do you even believe the words coming out of your own mouth?"

"What’s not to believe? I’ve always been generous and sincere, and I know how to be courteous to others! You’ve raised me for so many years, big sis. It’s my turn to show you some filial piety."

"What nonsense are you talking about? Am I so old that I need ’filial piety’ from you?"

"You darn sister! Hit me again and see what happens! I’m going to fight back! You think I’m a pushover?"

"I’ll give you a push, alright—"

"Hiss... Don’t pinch! A true gentleman uses his hands, not his words!"

Listening to the bickering outside, Chen Yuan looked at himself in the mirror. He seemed to have aged and grown haggard in an instant, the light in his eyes dimming.

He lowered his head and splashed his face with water to wake himself up. He squeezed a dab of toothpaste onto his toothbrush, rinsed his mouth, and began brushing vigorously in front of the mirror. A moment later, foam filled his mouth, and a few damp strands of his bangs clung to the corners of his forehead.

’In the end, I’m just too soft-hearted...’ Chen Yuan thought. ’If I hadn’t taken the two sisters into my apartment, none of this would be happening.’

He lowered his head to wash the foam off his hands.

SMACK! Something white flew in and slammed into the wall next to the door. The sudden thud startled Chen Yuan. He stared at the deadly ’hidden weapon’—a white sneaker.

THIP! A black shadow followed, flying in a perfect, unerring arc before catching on the doorknob... He focused his eyes—it was a black lace no-show sock, emitting a faint, alluring scent.

Chen Yuan’s face darkened, and he could no longer contain his rising temper.

Just then, the other lace no-show sock flew in, landing right on his head. He snatched it off, and a vein instantly bulged on his temple.

The sounds of arguing outside continued.

"Jiangg Yao, stop being so difficult! This is my final warning. We’re competing fairly now. It has nothing to do with who you said brought Chen back last time. Let’s keep things separate."

"But no matter how you look at it, I’ve put in more effort than you have. You don’t even have the right to compete with me."

"I need *you* to tell me about ’rights’? Speaking of which, if you’re so qualified, why did you come crying to me for comfort, telling me all that stuff? Do I need to repeat what you said back then?"

"When did I cry... I didn’t! Fine, turn on me now and pretend you don’t know me! From now on, I’m never coming to you with my problems again! No more sisterly secrets! Nothing!"

"That’s a deal."

"I hate you! I hate you so much, you darn sister!"

"Say that one more time and see what happens..."

’They’re fighting again!’

Chen Yuan’s face darkened again. He clenched his fists. They wouldn’t give him even a single moment of peace.

Chen Yuan wanted to scream at the heavens. He couldn’t take it anymore.

He snatched up the sneaker with one hand and stormed out, a thunderous reprimand forming on his lips: "Enough—"

Before the word could leave his mouth, his foot landed on the no-show sock he had just thrown on the floor. On the smooth bathroom tiles, the thing was as slippery as a banana peel.

In an instant, he lost his balance and fell to his knees with a loud THUD.

A sharp pain shot through both of his knees.

In the entryway, bathed in the soft overhead light, the two sisters were drawn by the noise. They immediately stopped pinching each other and stared, first at each other and then at Chen Yuan in utter shock. Then, in perfect sync, they rushed over, one taking his left side and the other his right.

"Chen, are you okay?"

"Young Master, are you hurt? Okay, okay, we’ll stop fighting. You don’t have to kneel and beg us..."

"I’m sorry, Chen, we’ll stop fighting. Let me see if you scraped yourself."

Jiangg Ning gently helped him toward the sofa, wanting to check the spot where he’d fallen.

"I... I’m really," Chen Yuan’s face was a mask of misery. He covered his forehead, his voice already cracking with sobs. "I’m begging you..."

His heart was filled with humiliation. He felt a raging fire inside him, about to burn everything to ashes, searing his very organs with raw pain.

"Begging us to stop fighting? I promise, Young Master. Please don’t cry." Seeing him like this, Jiangg Yao grew flustered and quickly started rubbing his chest with her slender hands to soothe him.

"I’m begging you to get the hell back to the bedroom!" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Chen Yuan suddenly came back to life. He shot to his feet, instantly hooking one arm around Jiangg Yao’s neck and the other under the bend of her knees. Amidst her weightless shriek of "Ah!", he lifted her clean off the ground with incredible ease.

He strode swiftly into the bedroom and put sudden force into his arms.

With a THUMP, Jiangg Yao was thrown onto the bed.

Then, he ran back and did the same to Ningning. Ningning even flusteredly argued that he didn’t have to, that she could walk back herself, but Chen Yuan didn’t listen. He decisively swept her up in the same manner. Her face paled, having rarely experienced such a forceful side of Chen, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck in fright, her pretty face flushing red.

With another THUMP, Jiangg Ning was also thrown onto the bed.

Chen Yuan pointed at the two sisters’ faces. He looked at their soft bodies, sprawled on the bed one after the other, and said coldly, "Now! Sleep! No more fighting!"

Ningning and Yaoyao immediately hugged each other, snuggling up cheek to cheek in a picture-perfect display of sisterly love and affection.

"Understood," they said in unison.

A few seconds later.

The door slammed shut. The two sisters’ cheeks were slightly flushed as they savored the memory of being treated so forcefully. That tense, thrilling feeling... was somehow, inexplicably, a little exciting.

They glanced at each other.

And just as tacitly, looked away.
