Chapter 839: Chapter 748: Medical Immortal’s Secret Transmission (3)
"I don’t care, but without me, you’d probably be stuck here for decades or even centuries."
"So what if I am..."
"Well, I’m leaving then."
With those words, Xu Xiaoyou said no more and turned to leave.
Chichu Chun rushed forward to grab her hand.
Xu Xiaoyou turned her head in confusion, only to see the red-haired girl, who was so arrogant moments ago, looking like a completely different person, head lowered, nervously twirling her hair, appearing extremely embarrassed.
"Don’t go..."
With a flush on her face, she bit her lip lightly, eyes brimming with tears, "I’ll do whatever you want, I’ll... I’ll cooperate with you, just don’t leave me here."
"Don’t make it sound like I’m forcing you." Xu Xiaoyou’s mouth twitched slightly.
Chichu Chun, while inwardly drawing circles and cursing Xu Xiaoyou, dejectedly handed over the five Keys.
Xu Xiaoyou sat back down, and Chichu Chun thought that this grinning person was truly a bona fide demon!
"Tell me what intel you know related to the Keys of this world."
Upon hearing this, Chichu Chun’s expression became serious.
"The Cyan Sage."
Xu Xiaoyou was taken aback.
"The Keys of this world are kept by the Cyan Sage," Chichu Chun said.
"Don’t look so surprised, I found the answer in countless ruins across this world."
"When I had the idea of trying to track his whereabouts, he sensed it, and through a series of coincidences, I was captured."
Chichu Chun’s mouth twitched slightly.
She would never say that the reason for her arrest was because of the ’City Survival Challenge in Forest and Lake.’ Basically, it involved putting restriction collars on a hundred people to limit their abilities, releasing them into a city full of beasts and dangers, and she couldn’t even remember the reward for surviving.
All she knew was it seemed fun, so she participated. Who knew that not long after the event started, a bunch of Order Court thugs wearing steam masks rushed in and tied her up tightly, sending her straight to Anti-Magic Prison.
Chichu Chun gritted her teeth. She was sure this was all due to the Cyan Sage’s machinations!
And not because she found the hunting exciting and strangled the fifth Flamon beast in the survival game with the physical abilities of a regular person, one of which seemed to be the organizer’s most beloved pet.
Seeing the thoughts written all over the red-haired girl’s face, Xu Xiaoyou felt some things were already unsaid yet clear.
"To get the Keys, you need to lure out the Cyan Sage, and that guy is quite enigmatic."
Chichu Chun let out a laugh and waved her hand.
"I think we should just give up. That old man is very cunning, and his ’Speculative Wilderness’ domain spans the whole world. Mentioning his name would already alert him, let alone plotting to lure him out."
"Why don’t we just go have a meal as a peaceful goodbye? You go your way to the Yellow Springs Road, and I’ll go my way to Heaven’s Gate."
"Hmm..." Xu Xiaoyou ignored Chichu Chun’s barbs and fell into thought.
"The Cyan Sage," undeniably the most mysterious among all the Light Blades. He connected deeply with the ’Mysterious’ in the spiritual realm, and his transcendent thinking elevated him beyond the realm of mortals.
He was powerful, and Xu Xiaoyou was sure that even at her full capacity, she wouldn’t be a match for him in the spiritual domain.
If the ’Crimson Dancer’ was the strongest in physical prowess, even her bones remained uncorrupted after death, attracting the Life Staff to merge with her. Then the Cyan Sage would be an unprecedented force in the spiritual realm.
"Xiaochun, have you heard of the ’Medical Immortal’s Secret Transmission’?" Xu Xiaoyou asked, exhaling lightly.
Chichu Chun raised an eyebrow, "Hmm?"
"Legend has it that a Medical Immortal roams the world, and whenever people face hardship, she grants them a ’Miracle Medicine,’ enough to flesh bones, bring life to death, dispel evil and filth, with No Taboos."
"Merciful to all beings, saving the masses, doesn’t it remind you of the Cyan Sage’s style?"
Chichu Chun thought about it and felt it might be true.
Clearly understanding the past and the present, with thoughts as vast as the sea, yet always adhering solely to the act of saving people’s lives.
Healing the body but not treating people’s hearts, even though that’s the true source of suffering in this era.
Such superficial treatment is just a mere drop in the ocean for the people of this era; even if it saves a million or a billion people, so what?
Countless others will continue to let themselves fall into depravity and decay in the face of their inner pain and agony, moving towards death.
This era is sick, with its roots entrenched in every facet of society, not beneath people’s festering skin.
She didn’t believe the Cyan Sage was unaware of this; the opposite must know even more to choose to act this way.
"I think we can start from this angle," Xu Xiaoyou said.
"I’m with you." Chichu Chun nodded.
Xu Xiaoyou remained expressionless, "You have to come with me."
Chichu Chun’s expression froze, and after a moment, she pointed to herself.
"Me?"
" I’ve already given you the Keys, and now you want me to work for free!?" Chichu Chun loudly protested.
"What, do you intend to give me half of the Key once you get it!"
"Come on, that’s the Cyan Sage, I won’t do anything with all risks and no benefits involved!"
"Those five Keys are only enough for me to carry you on ’medical parole,’ to remove the shackle from your neck, you still need to cooperate with me, otherwise, it’s just a time bomb." Xu Xiaoyou said calmly.
Chichu Chun broke into a cold sweat, "Wait, how many Keys do you have."
"Counting the ones you just gave me." Xu Xiaoyou revealed her collection, "Fifty in total."
A full fifty Keys of varying shapes floated in the air, each stained with a bloodstain that seemed impossible to wash away, silently telling a story.
"Fifty..." Chichu Chun’s voice trembled, on the verge of tears.
In her eyes, Xu Xiaoyou was no longer the smiling Little Demon, but a terrifying Devil.
"If I help you, you... will you really let me go in the end?" Chichu Chun asked. "Will you kill me?"
A brief silence, like a block of ice, congealed between their hearts, separating them deeply. Behind the ice, the two once shared their days and nights, relying infinitely on and cherishing each other, but now there was only coldness and estrangement.
"Please don’t kill me..." Chichu Chun nearly pleaded, forcing out the words.
"Has our trust reached a point where it can just flip over at any moment?"
Xu Xiaoyou sighed.
Damn, why did it turn out this way, after fifty worlds you should know better, right!? Chichu Chun raged inside.
"I definitely won’t kill you, provided you behave and keep away from any sneaky thoughts."
"As long as you don’t try to kill me, I can trust and tolerate you endlessly."
"Because, Xiaochun, you’re my favorite."
"Just like you said, can’t we have a peaceful goodbye?"
Listening to the golden-haired girl’s ambiguous words, Chichu Chun felt a chill run down her spine.
Hmph, so annoying.
She must find an opportunity to get rid of this person in front of her!
