Chapter 676: *It can’t happen, I won’t allow it*
Then a white light surrounded him, and Elias, and then Kevin received another notification.
[Blessing magic: you have received an additional +2,000 points to all your Stats and an additional +10,000 Soul force points.]
Kevin then looked at Elias, who smiled at him before saying, "Not bad, son, not bad!"
Then they flew towards the three evil beings that were now in a fighting stance, and suddenly a whole batch of flying Shadows went to position themselves between them and those three evil beings. Elias then said to Kevin, "Keep moving; don’t bother with them."
Kevin was about to launch his Chains of Restraint to clear a path for them when he finally stopped, thinking that Elias wanted to clear a path for them himself, but he was wrong... Golden lightning bolts then appeared out of nowhere, spreading over all the Shadows and hitting only their energy sources, causing them to disappear instantly.
Kevin smiled then, as this feat could have only been accomplished by Miguel, and for the first time, he truly felt that their relationship had moved to a different stage.
He could feel that Elias and Miguel really cared about him, helping him and protecting him in any way they could.
Kevin then carried on and increased his speed, launching his Chains of Restraint against these three evil beings. But if it was that easy to kill them, they wouldn’t be the best evil beings of this world, and Lilith could have managed them too instead of freeing them from her grip.
They all then conjured up powerful weapons imbued with black particles, and a black aura surrounded them. There was a sword, a saber, and a double axe, and all three of them could parry the attacks of his Chains of Restraint without too much difficulty.
The General Wizard even sent black vines towards them that he could use like the Chains of Restraint, but their corrosive effect was greater, as it was a pure concentration of black particles.
Fortunately, his Chains of Restraint had been greatly improved thanks to Axel’s Runes, but there were still black dots appearing on them where the black vines were attacking them, and these black dots kept growing, reducing the effectiveness of his Chains of Restraint.
They were slowing down and losing some of their strength too, and just when Elias was about to send Divine energy into them to help them get rid of those black particles attacking them, Kevin once again used the blessing magic of the Angels.
This time he focused his spell on his Chains of Restraint and towards the black vines, and a white light then spread over them, disintegrating all the black particles that had succeeded in passing through the defenses of his Chains of Restraint.
Once they were cleaned of those black particles and gained a boost just like Kevin and Elias, the white light then spread wildly, attacking not only the black vines but the three evil beings too.
When the three evil beings saw that the light of the Angels was getting closer to them, they stepped back immediately and continued to flee until his white light reached its limits.
Elias then told him, "At least they are smart enough to know when to retreat... They will indeed make perfect Shadows for you."
Kevin nodded and told him, "They seem a little surprised by the distance over which my white light can spread. Is that because I copied the blessing magic from Lena, or is it linked to my own powers?"
Elias wasn’t sure either, but he still told him, "All the spells you copy are linked to your power. So even though Lena’s blessing magic is out of the ordinary according to her parents, the one you use is only related to your own powers. The stronger you become, the better it will be... This is only the beginning of your apprenticeship, so your talents and progression are almost unlimited. One day you will be more powerful than I and Miguel; there is no doubt about it. The new generations are here to overcome the old ones; this is how it should be. And thanks to your generation, great changes are already starting to appear in our Universe. Some of the Divine laws have been broken, and probably new ones will appear when peace has been restored and the threat eliminated."
Kevin then smiled at him and said, "Then let’s start by saving this world. After that, we will train harder than ever to be prepared for the war, and we will save our Universe from its destruction. I won’t live in a Universe where Willow doesn’t exist and where half of Axel’s consciousness will be dead; it can’t happen. I won’t allow it!"
Elias then said to him as he sent a lot of Divine energy into the Chains of Restraint, "I won’t allow it either. Lots of our friends won’t survive if the Cradle of Magic is contaminated by Lilith and Diana’s corrupt magic."
Moreover, Elias thought to himself, without magic in their Universe, not only would all the Divine creatures and Legendary ones not survive, but the Divine fertility potion of Esme wouldn’t work anymore, and the hope of forming a family with Miguel would be gone forever.
Now that this hope had grown in his heart, he didn’t know if he could bear the consequences if they failed to save the Cradle of Magic.
Their chance to have their own family had already been shattered once by the Ancient Gods, when the God of War killed Miguel and destroyed their Dual Cultivation bond; he wouldn’t allow them to do it again no matter what.
The Chains of Restraint then started shining, and a golden and white aura surrounded them, amplifying their powers, and this time these three evil beings wouldn’t be able to withstand their attacks as easily as before.
Kevin smiled as he saw that and launched them again against these three powerful evil beings.
