Chapter 659: *Time was running out*
Kevin didn’t like the fact that it was Axel who had to go into this other world where the other training center was, but he also knew that Miguel had made the right choice by choosing him for this mission.
Kevin sighed then, because even if he didn’t like it, it was already done, and so it shouldn’t take Axel long to come back to him anyway.
So, while waiting for Axel, Kevin then ordered all his summoned creatures, "Hurry and go kill all the Zombies and Warrior Vampires you can; you must also protect at any cost the lives of our friends."
He then added for the Dead Wizards only, "Only use energy balls made of light particles to kill those Zombies and Warrior Vampires; it would be much more efficient."
Then he said to the Dead Knights, "Behead them to kill them; the Zombies can’t feel pain just like you, and they also don’t have any energy reserves, so there are only two options to kill them: the other one is to burn them to ashes."
While giving his mental orders, he drank a Legendary-grade healing potion to restore all of his Soul force points so that his Dead Wizards could draw on his energy reserve without any problem. And as an energy ball made of light particles cost him only 20 Soul force points, so there was no problem with them using this kind of attack.
Then, to his astonishment, all the sword blades of his Dead Knights became green, meaning that his Dead Knights had sent light energy into their blades.
Kevin didn’t even know that it was possible for his Dead Knights to do something like that, but after checking his Soul force points that he had just restored, indeed, 30,000 points were just gone like that.
As his Dead Knights and Dead Wizards engaged in battle with the Zombies—creatures that looked like living corpses with their skins that had started to decompose—Kevin watched them fight in awe.
With each piercing strike from the blades of his Dead Knights, the Zombies were instantly engulfed in green flames, reducing them to ashes in an instant.
Still in shock, Kevin felt his Mark of the Union burning on his hand. Suddenly, a golden portal materialized, and Axel stepped through it, appearing right beside him.
They embraced each other, and Axel told him, "It’s done! Let’s go now; there are plenty of Knights of Darkness to kill, and these evil beings that have turned into Knights of Darkness look fiercer than the Legendary creatures we fought before."
Kevin nodded and told him, "I still have 3 minutes and 43 seconds left, so let’s do as much damage as possible."
Axel nodded but couldn’t help worrying about Kevin, even though his Stage 3 had been reset... Using it twice in a row would probably have consequences for Kevin.
But Kevin, who could follow his thoughts, then said to him, putting a hand on his shoulder and teleporting them straight to the middle of the training center, "Don’t worry too much; Willow is here; she will be able to reduce any negative effects it might have on me."
Axel then conjured up his Divine Sword while thinking that Kevin was right; Willow was really good at bringing people out of comas and helping them regain their usual physical conditions, so everything should be fine.
Axel then started to fight against these Knights of Darkness and evil beings, and he couldn’t help but smile as he thought of their daughter, who was training in their personal dimension. He couldn’t wait for these fights to end so they could finally join her.
In another corner of the battlefield, Elias was fighting Ulyss, who had also just swallowed two black pills and was therefore at the peak of his strength.
But Ulyss, who was already struggling to fight against Elias’s power and his way of fighting, which was totally unpredictable, frowned when Roman contacted him to tell him that something must have happened to Lilith and Cassandra because Miguel had just congratulated this Divine Wolf on what they had just done to them.
So Ulyss, after receiving this message, wasted no time and teleported himself to where he had last sensed their presence.
His eyes widened when he saw that Lilith and Cassandra were on the ground, covered by a layer of golden particles that seemed to have begun devouring their God protective aura.
Knowing that Elias was on his heels and that he was probably going to get here at any moment, Ulyss used the black particles in his sword to create black arrows.
Then he launched these five black arrows simultaneously at the five Divine-grade magic crystals to free Lilith and Cassandra, but he had forgotten to take into account the Chains of Restraint, which had combined their power with the dome of Divine energy to keep them prisoners.
When he saw them destroy his five black arrows, he screamed in rage and decided to change tactics. Time was running out, so he conjured up another Divine Sword and charged toward the golden dome imprisoning Lilith and Cassandra.
As expected, the Chains of Restraint tried to stop him, and while countering their attack, Ulyss moved closer to one of the crystals, and this time he succeeded in surprising the powerful Chains of Restraint, destroying the first of the five magic crystals holding them captive.
Elias then appeared and charged at him, but not before he succeeded in destroying another Divine-grade magic crystal.
With only three Divine-grade magic crystals left, the dome lost a lot of power, and it was enough for Lilith to free herself from this hell.
She had been waiting for this kind of occasion, and so she immediately conjured up two black pills, one for her and one for Cassandra.
As soon as she felt the black particles running through her veins, she used them to destroy the golden ones that were trying to damage her God protective aura, and then she conjured up a Divine sword that was much stronger than the ones Ulyss possessed and pierced the golden dome with it.
