Chapter 658: *Weren’t they the reinforcements?*
Axel then sent his energy into the blade of his father’s sword, causing its golden runic symbols to appear, and a golden aura immediately surrounded Axel’s body as the runic symbols began to glow intensely.
Even Miguel frowned at this phenomenon, and the powers Axel was now displaying far surpassed his former level. If it was to get this kind of result that they had taken so many risks by doing this right in the middle of a fight... Miguel still wasn’t going to let it slide, but he never thought that the powers Axel could gain could be so much.
The son was now able to fight his father on equal footing, as both were now at roughly the same level, and only Mykael’s combat experience gave him a clear advantage over his son.
Axel then told him, still using the communication stones, after blocking Roman’s attack and while Miguel was taking care of fighting him in another corner to give him free rein, "Reinforcements are on their way, so everyone should be able to take a breather."
Miguel then looked sideways at him, wondering what Axel was talking about, because weren’t they the reinforcements? And he couldn’t detect the arrival of Angels and Paladins that were still fighting on the other side of the world... But he understood immediately when he felt Kevin’s Stage 3 activate once again.
But that was supposed to be impossible; hadn’t he already used it? The waiting time Kevin had to wait before he could use it again was 2 hours and 30 minutes, so how had he activated it again?
While everyone was asking themselves the same question, Axel sent a message to everyone, as they all had to stay focused, "Don’t worry, everything’s perfectly normal, and Kevin’s fine. I have just marked him for the second time, and this time his basic Stats have increased even more than last time. What’s more, after I shared my new powers with him, Kevin now has access to his Stage 3 again, and that’s not all—he can now use it for 5 minutes straight and only has to wait 1 hour between each use."
Axel then thrust the blade of his father’s sword into the impenetrable barrier, which immediately cracked, and Mykael and Colin joined him to protect him while he destroyed it.
Axel then sent another message to everyone, choosing to warn them of Kevin’s plan, "Kevin will summon a veritable army of Dead Knights and Dead Wizards to fight the Vampires and their army of Zombies. As the Zombies are all around level 100, Kevin will summon Dead Knights of the same level as them, while the Dead Wizards will be more powerful. He will take care of the Zombies and the Vampires, and leave you to deal with our most powerful enemies."
The impenetrable barrier then gave way, and an immense shockwave reverberated everywhere, killing some of the weaker evil beings but not injuring any of them.
If any of them got injured, it was mainly because they were all still protected by the Chains of Restraint that Kevin had originally wrapped around their wrists. Although it was Elias who was now controlling them, their orders had not changed, and they still had to protect them the best they could.
Axel then said to his father, still using the communication stones so as not to alert any of their enemies who could hear them, while handing him his sword, "I will be back soon, so don’t worry about me, and I promise to follow Miguel’s instructions to the letter."
Mykael didn’t know what he was talking about, but if Miguel had given him a mission, he knew that probably only him could do it, so he simply nodded, and Axel moved so fast that even he was shocked by the change in his powers.
At the same time, a little way back from the battlefield, Kevin hadn’t run away, of course, but he needed space to summon as many creatures as possible.
He had used his perception skill to check the level of those Zombies and Warrior Vampires that were under the three General Vampires’ command, and since they were all around level 100, he decided to summon Dead Knights of the same level as them so that he could easily summon plenty of them.
Not wanting to lose time, he activated his Stage 3 so that his reserve of Soul force points would be huge and would also replenish much faster.
Normally, Kevin only had the choice between the options that his System would give him, but while selecting the summoning spell to summon Dead Knights, he told his System that he only wanted Dead Knights of level 100, and then the options disappeared, and this new message was displayed:
[Darkness element spell level 3: Summoning Dead Knights. Soul force required to activate: 1,000 points.]
As you requested, you can now summon 5 Dead Knights of level 100 per 1,000 points; choose the number of Dead Knights you want accordingly.
Kevin then chose to summon 150 Dead Knights at once, which cost him 30,000 Soul force points, and then while selecting the summoning spell to summon the Dead Wizards, he also requested to summon only Dead Wizards of level 150.
[Darkness element spell level 4: Summoning Dead Wizards. Soul force required to activate: 2,000 points.]
As you requested, you can now summon 1 Dead Wizard of level 150 per 1,000 points; choose the number of Dead Wizards you want accordingly.
Kevin chose to summon only 50 of them at first, which still cost him 50,000 Soul force points. Fortunately, as he had activated his Stage 3, his Soul force reserve was now at 90,000 points.
Once everything was done, Axel had already left this world via a Teleportation portal as Miguel had asked him to do, and so Kevin looked at his Mark of the Union since he knew that Axel wanted to use it to get back to him as soon as possible.
