Chapter 526: *Do you know what you did wrong?*

Once Nolan and Chris left, Kevin then said to Blaise and Phil, "Thank you, guys; you can return to the demon territory now. Enjoy your first purple dungeons this afternoon."

They both bowed their heads, and Blaise then opened a portal before going through it with Phil. But before Phil disappeared, Dilan then heard his voice in his head, who told him, through the communication stones, "If you need my help again, just let me know. I will try to be available for you, Dilan."

Dilan couldn’t help but smile, and he answered him using the communication stones too, "I will, but you should focus on your training now. I will manage on my own; do not worry."

Phil didn’t add anything, and Dilan then asked Kevin and Axel when they were finally alone, "Should we go now?"

Kevin just nodded, and Dilan then used a Teleportation Talisman to open a portal. He went through it first, and Axel then put his arm around Kevin’s shoulders and kissed him before asking, "Did you already choose what to do with them?"

Kevin then told him, "I’m not sure yet; it will depend on them. I’m sorry to use you as a lie detector, but I really want to know if they feel guilty for what they have done."

Axel smiled at him and said, "Use me as much as you want; I’m all yours, babe."

Kevin then hugged him and told him, "I wish we could have more time just for the two of us... That’s why I didn’t want to become the new King; there is always something coming up."

Axel laughed and told him, "It’s fine, babe; we can still spend most of our time together... And as our dear daughter is still sleeping, if you take care of Ashton’s parents quickly, we can have a private moment just for the two of us..."

Kevin then looked into his eyes, and he could see the lust in them, so he kissed him and took his hand in his before saying, "Let’s go then!"

Axel was really happy that Kevin felt that way. It was true that they were very busy, but as he just told him, they could still spend most of their time together, and nothing was more important than that.

Moreover, the fact that he could feel and even hear the thoughts of weak people was really a great help for Kevin, and he was glad that he could be useful to him.

Because even if Kevin was complaining, no one could manage the human territory better than him. At least with Kevin being the King of the humans, he was sure that their world would develop well and that everyone would be treated fairly.

Dilan was waiting for them on the other side of the portal, and he told them, "As I made an appointment with them, they should be waiting for us in their office."

Dilan then led the way, and Kevin told him, "They have a huge property, and their house looks more like a castle to me. They probably have a lot of money already, right?"

Dilan nodded before answering him, "This property has been in their family since before the border between the demons and humans’ territory was created. As for money... Of course they are rich; how could a Mage family that specializes in making potions and growing magic herbs not make money?"

Kevin then nodded and told him, "Liam already told us what they have done; let’s see what they have to say in their defense." A butler then guided them into a spacious office, and Ashton’s parents bowed their heads to Kevin when Dilan introduced him as their new King.

Tea and appetizers were already served on the coffee table of their office, as it was lunchtime, and after they had all settled around it, Kevin didn’t beat around the bush and asked them, "Do you know what you did wrong?"

Ashton’s mother then said to him without any shame, "We didn’t do anything wrong, my King. Our family has always served the rightful King and has been part of the organization. Moreover, we always supply the soldiers at the border with potions that can’t even be found in the market because their ingredients are rare and precious."

Kevin saw that Dilan was clenching his fists, and so he said to Ashton’s parents, "The contract your family made with the organization since its creation was to provide the potions the soldiers fighting at the border would need, in exchange for your family’s protection and the fact that all the members of your family would be exempt from participating in the border fights."

Axel then added, "Moreover, the soldiers or the organization would pay for the ingredients of these potions... So now that we’re clear on the contract your family made with the organization, don’t you feel ashamed of your behavior?"

Ashton’s mother then looked at them with a disdainful expression and said, "Ashamed of what exactly... This contract was made thousands of years ago; since then, the magic herbs’ market has changed a lot. Our family still has a lot of magic herbs and medicinal plants that can’t be found anywhere else, so their price in the market is completely different from what it was when this contract was made. We just applied their new price; that’s all."

Kevin then asked them, "Since this contract was made, have you changed the way you take care of your magic herbs or medicinal plants? I don’t think so..." Kevin then looked at Axel and asked him out loud, "I don’t even need to ask you if they feel repentant or not; what a shame..."

Axel laughed then and asked him, "I’m curious, Kev, how are you going to punish them?"

Ashton’s parents immediately tensed up, and when they were about to make their point once again, Axel’s eyes turned golden, and he said to them, "Shut up and listen to your King; you’re not in a position to negotiate."
