Chapter 479: *Forfeit*
As he changed quickly in the dimension, he said to Kevin through their link, delighted, "Babe, Colin called me son for the first time. It was a little strange, but he meant it, and he’s starting to accept that he has a family now. Daddy must be very happy."
He heard Kevin’s laughter in his head as he said to him, "Yeah, your dad looks really happy, and he can’t stop smiling."
Kevin then appeared in front of him in their dimension, holding their little Willow, who was still sleeping soundly. Axel smiled and kissed him tenderly before saying, "Our family keeps growing; we, who were orphans, now have more relatives than most families."
Kevin smiled at him and said, "You’re right. I could never imagine having parents, let alone a grandfather, and we also have our adorable baby girl."
Axel then asked him, "Let me carry you; it’s just the two of us here."
Kevin nodded and let himself be carried. Axel carried him like a girl again, but when he was carrying Willow, he especially liked Axel doing that. He felt safe, protected by the arms of the man of his life. The warmth of his body and the power he could feel through all his muscles were comforting, and above all, he could continue to cuddle their daughter as he pleased.
Axel led them to their daughter’s nest, and Kevin reluctantly put her down. Axel then said to him, after taking the time to caress Willow and kiss the top of her head, "I know we can’t enjoy our daughter as much as we want, but I promise you that when this war is over, we’ll make sure to create a wonderful world in which our children will be able to enjoy their lives, and we’ll spend all the time we want with them."
Kevin came and snuggled into his arms before saying to him, "I love you... I love you so much." And Axel replied, feeling his emotions mix with his, "I love you too, Kev; I love you too."
After a long kiss, Axel said to him, "We should go back now; let’s get this threat to my family over with, and then we can go home."
But Kevin shook his head and told him, "Not yet, honey... When the last of the Alphas is defeated or forfeits, you must ask all the Alphas to get together, and we must explain to them what had just happened and also the threat that what we have discovered here can represent to our universe."
Axel nodded and Kevin added, while caressing his cheek, "We can’t force them to help us, but we should explain the situation to them like we did with Raven and the others and see if they’ll agree to fight alongside us."
Axel agreed with Kevin and so he teleported them into the arena and said to him before letting him join his family, "Okay, babe, we’ll do as you wish."
When Kevin went to join his father-in-law and Colin, Axel looked at the chief judge and said to him, "It’s okay now; we can continue where we left off."
"We can continue where we left off..." The chief judge needed a little time to remember that this Werewolf was just supposed to duel the other Alphas in a friendly way to determine who would be the next Supreme Alpha, so he bowed his head in respect and called out the last of the Alphas who was supposed to fight him for this title.
But as soon as the Alpha arrived in the arena, he walked up to Axel and said, after bowing his head, "I, the Alpha of the South Sea Pack, forfeit."
He then approached Axel and held out his hand to him, saying, "My pack has always had good relations with your family’s pack; we have commercial and friendly relations. It is an honor to meet you. Moreover..."
He then indicated the chief judge, who had been refereeing the fights, and said to him, "Malik is one of the best warriors of my pack, so thank you for protecting him earlier."
Axel smiled at him and shook his hand, then he asked him curiously, "Do you also have good relations with the other packs? My husband and I would like to talk with all the Alphas... It is very important."
He nodded and then explained to him, "No problem; my pack has a good relationship with all the other packs because we are traders and everyone has different needs. When do you want to talk to us?"
Axel then said to him, "Now; it won’t take long. My grandfather and the Alpha of the Dark Blue Pack will be there too. We can stay in the arena; my father can isolate us so that no one else can hear what we have to say to all of you."
The Alpha nodded again and said to him, "Give me five minutes to order my pack to go home. You don’t need them, do you?"
Axel beckoned Kevin to join him, and Kevin teleported directly to his side thanks to their dimension. He immediately asked him, "What’s the matter?"
Axel then introduced him to Aiyon, the Alpha of the South Sea Pack, and asked him, "Do you want us to talk only with the Alphas or with their best Werewolves too?"
Aiyon then said to him in an apologetic tone, "Axel, with all due respect, I need my best Werewolves to protect my pack in the wilderness before they can return home."
Kevin then thought about it and told Axel, "The Alphas are enough; we don’t need an immediate answer, so they will be able to talk it over with their best Werewolves and pass their decision on to your grandfather. He will be our link to this world."
Aiyon then frowned and asked them, a little confused, "Wait, what do you mean ’our link to this world’?"
Axel smiled at him and then said, "Aiyon, we will explain everything to you; don’t worry. Go tell the other Alphas to send their packs home and join us all here when you finish giving your instructions."
