Chapter 462: *Introducing to the rest of the family*
Axel’s brow furrowed with concern as he noticed his grandfather’s pale complexion and the way he was cradling his ribs on one side, indicating he was in pain. Without hesitation, he turned to Colin and asked, a note of worry in his voice, "Can you treat my grandfather..."
But Kevin immediately cut him off and then said, "Let me do it, honey. That asshole who broke his ribs probably unintentionally blocked his energy reserve. I just need to use a few pressure points to get it working again, and then his regeneration ability will do the rest."
Axel’s grandfather then gave Axel a light tap on his shoulder to let him know he agreed and asked Kevin, "Sonny, it really hurts like hell, so if you could be quick, it would be awesome."
Kevin smiled at him and said, "Okay, grandpa, don’t worry; it will only take a few seconds."
Kevin immediately activated his Stage 2 and used his perception to see the flow of chakra in Axel’s grandfather’s body. Once he found the problem, he smirked and moved his hands so fast that those behind Axel’s grandfather didn’t have time to see his movements.
After restoring the proper flow of chakra in Axel’s grandfather’s body, Kevin held him by the waist so that he wouldn’t fall to the ground while he vomited the blood that had accumulated in his system because of his wound.
Seeing this, Mykael also frowned and said to him, "You told me you were fine and that you were only slightly injured. If I had known earlier, I would have come right away with Colin to treat you."
Axel’s grandfather, after vomiting blood, was swearing, and just when he wanted to tell his grandson’s husband what he thought of his medical skills, he suddenly stopped dead when he felt that his body was finally healing naturally again.
He first looked at Kevin in amazement and said to him, "Sonny, I really underestimated you. Thank you; I feel a lot better already."
Kevin offered him a carefree smile, as if it were no big deal, then he turned to Mykael, still leaning against his grandson’s husband, and he said to him, honestly, "I didn’t realize it was this serious. My regeneration ability is usually quite effective, and I thought it would resolve on its own, as it typically does."
Colin then explained to him, while handing him a legendary-grade healing potion, "That blow you received in the ribs, as Kevin told you, has blocked your chakra flow, and when an energy reserve is blocked, the regeneration ability is also blocked."
To make sure he understood the seriousness of the injury he had just received, Colin then told him, "Even Mykael can be killed if his regeneration ability is blocked. This kind of injury is really not to be taken lightly."
Axel then said to him as he saw Kevin trying to persuade him to drink this potion, "Grandpa, you don’t have to fight anymore. Let me take your place; you are still recovering. I can easily take care of the other Alphas."
The woman who was probably his mother then exclaimed when she heard him say that, "Axel, no please! These Alphas are really strong, they are the best of our world; see how one of them injured your grandfather. And you have only recently awakened your Werewolf bloodline; you don’t know how to fight like a Werewolf yet."
Kevin, after having deactivated his Stage 2, couldn’t help but chuckle, and he then said respectfully to this woman, who could only be Axel’s mother, "Ma’am, no offense, but Axel is far more powerful than any Werewolf in your world, and he has been trained recently by the best fighters in our entire universe, so you really don’t have to worry. Whether or not he knows how to fight like a Werewolf doesn’t matter because he can’t lose these fights."
Axel’s grandfather then looked at him strangely and asked him, "Sonny, why do you call me grandpa without even blinking but call Axel’s mother ma’am?"
Kevin then looked at Axel, who had clenched his fists, and then he said to him honestly, "Well, I already know you’re Axel’s grandfather, but we haven’t been introduced to the rest of the family yet."
Axel’s grandfather then looked at Axel and saw that he looked a little tense, and he could also feel that he was afraid of being rejected. So he ruffled Kevin’s hair, and once he finished drinking the healing potion and felt much better, he let go of him and walked over to Axel.
He then put his hands on Axel’s shoulders before telling him, "You don’t have to worry, sonny. I already told you that you are part of our family; it’s my fault. I should have started to introduce you to the rest of our family."
He then removed his hands and put an arm around Axel’s shoulders before showing him one by one the members of his family.
He began by introducing him to his mother and her husband, then his two half-brothers and his half-sister, who were just a little younger than him. They were respectively 22, 20, and 16 years old, his half-sister being the youngest of their family.
After introducing him to the members of their family, Axel’s grandfather finally stepped aside and left his place to his daughter, who was as anxious as Axel.
But her desire to take her first son in her arms, when she had always believed that she would never be able to see him again, was stronger than her fear of being rejected by him. She then walked toward Axel and hesitantly put a trembling hand on his cheek before saying, "My son, finally I meet you..."
Tears began to flow down her cheeks, and she said, "You are so beautiful, my boy... I’m so sorry... So sorry..."
Axel then smiled shyly at her, wiped away her tears, and took her tenderly in his arms, saying to her, "Don’t worry, mom. You did what you had to do; I’m not mad at you at all. I understand... I’m so happy to finally be able to meet you."
