Chapter 411: *The battle of the Royal Palace part 11*
If only Axel were here, he could give him a hand. Thanks to his energy that he could share with him, he had access to a greater quantity of golden particles, and that would be enough to counter this black laser beam.
As he was prepared to activate his Stage 3 because he couldn’t see any other alternative to protect everyone, his mark of the Union began to burn him, and at the same time, he saw the Titans moving away from him and the black laser beam coming at him.
Then it was as if the time was frozen, and he found himself back in the world Axel had once taken him to, at least only through their psychic link, when he had just awakened his mother’s bloodline.
Axel was in front of him in his divine wolf form, but it was strange; it was as if something was different. Yet it was him; his black fur with the golden runes on it was unmistakable, and even though they shone much brighter than usual, it was surely due to the excess of power he could feel coming from him.
Moreover, Axel had teleported him to their shelter, and only he could do that... But why now... and what was wrong with him...? He then saw him approaching while decreasing his size to be at his height, and he started to rub his wolf head against his face to claim caresses.
It wasn’t really the right time for this because he was really in danger, but he remembered that the mark of the Union had burned him before he was brought here, so maybe Axel was in trouble too.
He buried his head in the fur of his neck and stroked him tenderly, trying to contact him through their link, but only the feeling of his wolf’s well-being answered him. He began to worry and looked into Axel’s eyes before asking him, "Axel, what is wrong with you? Why did you bring me here?"
He then heard Axel’s voice answer him through their telepathic link, and yet, even though he was sure it was Axel’s voice, it was also a bit different—rockier, deeper, more powerful. "I wanted to finally be able to meet you, my mate... I brought you here to mark you. The mark of the Union is for humans; I also want to mark you the way wolves mark their mate."
Kevin couldn’t believe it; it was the first time he had spoken directly to his wolf side. Normally, he felt it mostly through their link, but he had never spoken to it before.
He looked at Axel the Wolf and, although his voice carried an authoritative weight that suggested he was leaving no room for negotiation, he could still sense the underlying fear of rejection. "Axel, whether it’s your human side or your wolf side, I love you. So if you want to mark me in a different way, just go ahead and do it."
Axel then transformed into a human, appearing in all the splendor of his nakedness, but Kevin could feel that it was still the wolf that he was dealing with.
As he didn’t know what he expected from him, he waited and stretched out his hand to invite him to join him.
Axel the Wolf then came forward and took his hand, placing it on his heart, which he immediately felt the strong and tumultuous beats. His heart was beating faster than normal, and before he could ask what had happened to him, Axel the Wolf tilted his head to the side, clearing the base of his neck, and without hesitation, he bit him.
Axel the Wolf used the Supreme Alpha marking; he bit Kevin at the base of his neck, infusing him with his own power.
Not only would Axel no longer need to establish a special link to share their energy for their mate’s protection, but the Supreme Alpha mark had also forged a permanent bond for energy sharing between them. Now, all wolves, regardless of their rank, would recognize Kevin as the mate of a Supreme Alpha, and they would be bound to show him respect.
Satisfied that he had finally marked the man who had succeeded in seducing his human side as well as his wolf side, Axel the Wolf kissed him passionately and said to him using their telepathic link, "I’ve taken care of these Titans for you, my mate. I have to go back to fight with the others... Tell my father and Colin that I’m fine and that they shouldn’t worry... I love you."
When Kevin opened his eyes, Mykael and Colin were watching him with concern in their eyes, and as Axel the Wolf had warned him, they looked very worried. After reassuring them that he and Axel were okay, he asked them, "What happened?"
But Colin, at that moment, raised his hand to tell him to wait and said to Mykael as soon as he received the news of Caleb, "Caleb needs me; let me go. I could check that Axel is really okay."
Mykael nodded but told him, "Don’t hang around too long; there are still 7 Titans here, and I’m not supposed to interfere."
Colin nodded and disappeared immediately. As for Kevin, after getting up and checking that the situation was well under control here and didn’t require him to join the fight immediately, he asked him again, putting his hand unconsciously where Axel had bitten him, "Tell me what happened."
Mykael sighed because now that Miguel, Elias, Lucas, and Colin had assured him that his son was fine, he could finally relax.
He then said to Kevin, "You really scared us... I would really like to know what happened after Axel took my sword..."
He then stopped wondering and decided to start at the beginning to explain everything that had happened to Kevin, "When those Titans stepped aside in front of you and one of the mages in their group shot a black laser beam at you, I was surprised to see that you seemed to be frozen. So I decided to intervene because I suspected that something was wrong."
