Chapter 208: Cosmic horror entity
Alex took a cautious step forward and instinctively circulated the energy within his body, intending to soar above the colossal canopy and observe the unfamiliar land from the sky.
However, the moment he attempted to rise, nothing happened. His feet remained firmly planted on the ground as though countless invisible chains had wrapped themselves around his legs.
He frowned and increased the flow of his power, pushing his spatial authority to its limit. Even then, his body did not move an inch. The surrounding space felt unimaginably dense, as if the very laws of reality had been forged from solid metal, refusing to yield before his will.
"What is going on?" Alex muttered in confusion as he made another attempt. His profound control over space, which had allowed him to travel across worlds with a single thought, was completely suppressed.

Alex slowly lowered his hand and swallowed.
The explanation sounded simple, yet the implications behind it were terrifying. If merely leaving the ground required the power of a Grade Four Entity, which was they hyperversal realm, then the foundation of this realm completely surpassed every universe he had ever known.
He drew in a slow breath and looked toward the endless forest stretching in every direction.
"Does that mean every creature born here possesses that level of strength?" he asked quietly.

Alex rubbed his forehead.
"So even an ordinary rabbit born here could probably destroy an entire universe if it wandered into a lower realm."
The system remained silent, which Alex interpreted as confirmation.
After calming himself, he reached into the depths of his soul and waved his hand toward the dark ground beneath his feet.
"Come out."
His elongated shadow rippled like the surface of a black lake.
A magnificent Dragon Horse slowly emerged from within it, its enormous body covered in shimmering scales that reflected countless stars. Every step caused faint arcs of cosmic lightning to dance beneath its hooves, and its deep breath carried an overwhelming pressure that distorted the surrounding air.
Because Alex had already reached the megaversal realm, the unique soul contract connecting him with his companions had elevated them as well. The Dragon Horse had undergone a tremendous qualitative transformation and had firmly stepped into the universal level, its aura dense and stable like an ancient celestial mountain.
Alex nodded with satisfaction.
"Carry me."
The Dragon Horse released a joyful roar that echoed through the silent forest. It immediately lowered its body, proudly presenting its back to its master.
Before Alex could climb aboard, a brilliant emerald flash erupted from his shadow.
Ember appeared beside the Dragon Horse and immediately puffed out his chest. His bright eyes were filled with determination as he glanced at the larger beast with unmistakable rivalry.
"Master, I am much more comfortable than him," Ember declared confidently. "You should ride on my back instead."
Alex looked at the little dragon and could not suppress a smile.
"Really? Then tell me something first. Can you fly in this place?"
Ember proudly raised his head.
"Of course I can."
Without waiting another moment, he gathered his energy and leaped upward.
For a brief instant, his body actually rose into the air.
Then an invisible force descended upon him with overwhelming authority.
Thud.
Ember was smashed directly onto the ground, landing flat on his stomach with enough force to shake the surrounding roots.
His face instantly became red with embarrassment.
The Dragon Horse turned its head slightly, and although it remained silent, the amusement in its eyes was impossible to hide.
Ember refused to accept defeat.
He quickly climbed to his feet, gritted his teeth, and ignited brilliant vital essence across his body. Every bit of his universal level energy surged outward as he launched himself upward once again.
For exactly two inches, he successfully floated.
Then the terrifying gravity crushed him into the dirt for a second time.
Thud.
His snout disappeared beneath the ancient soil.
Still unwilling to surrender, Ember gathered every trace of his lineage power and made one final attempt. But he failed again.
The moment he left the ground, he was ruthlessly slammed back down.
Alex could no longer hold back his laughter.
"Hahaha. Do not push yourself little guy."
He crouched beside Ember and gently brushed the dirt from the little creature’s face while patting his head.
"The laws of this realm are simply too powerful for you right now. Go back and rest. When you become strong enough to fly here, I promise that I will ride on your back."
Ember lowered his head, his expression completely dejected.
"Okay then..."
With a soft burst of emerald light, his body returned to Alex’s shadow, where he could quietly recover from the blow to both his body and his pride.
Still smiling, Alex climbed onto the Dragon Horse.
The majestic beast adjusted to his weight with ease before walking forward through the endless forest. Its powerful legs effortlessly crossed roots the size of mountain ranges while its scales reflected the faint starlight filtering through the colossal leaves overhead.
They continued traveling for what felt like an eternity.
Time itself seemed strangely distorted within the Genesis Realm. There was no visible sun, no moon, and no familiar cycle that could mark the passing hours. Only a mysterious cosmic glow drifted through gaps in the canopy, illuminating an endless wilderness that appeared completely unchanged no matter how far they advanced.
Alex gradually became frustrated.
Every direction looked exactly the same.
Gigantic trunks stretched beyond sight, roots twisted across the ground like sleeping dragons, and ancient vines thicker than rivers hung from impossible heights. There was no indication that civilization or even the edge of the forest existed.
After another immeasurable stretch of travel, Alex suddenly tightened the reins.
A strange realization entered his mind.
"Something is wrong."
His sharp eyes carefully scanned the surrounding darkness.
"Why is there not a single monster here?"
The silence was unsettling.
Any forest overflowing with such dense primordial energy should have been filled with magical beasts, territorial predators, spiritual plants, and countless hidden dangers. Yet ever since he had arrived, he had not heard a single roar, chirp, or movement among the trees.
There was only absolute stillness.
It was not peaceful.

Without warning, the temperature dropped.

His heartbeat gradually accelerated.

Alex slowly raised his hand.
