Chapter 204: Communication with the world system
The heavy scent of dragonwood incense and the faint rustle of silk curtains were the first sensations that greeted Alex as consciousness gradually returned to him. The darkness that had enveloped his mind receded like a retreating tide, revealing a profound sense of peace.
The unbearable exhaustion that had weighed upon his soul after the final battle was gone. In its place was a deep and steady vitality that pulsed through every corner of his being. His spirit felt calm, his thoughts were clear, and the lingering damage caused by his clash with the cosmic sovereign had largely disappeared.
Slowly, Alex opened his eyes.
An ornate ceiling made from flawless spirit jade stretched high above him. Intricate formations and ancient runes had been carved into its surface, causing faint streams of spiritual light to flow across the chamber like living rivers. The room itself was vast and luxurious, befitting the residence of an emperor rather than a warrior.
Alex was lying upon a massive royal bed crafted from rare celestial wood. The bedding was woven from divine silk and radiated a gentle warmth. Around the bed stood eight figures, positioned with perfect discipline.
His disciples.
They were stationed at the foot of the bed and along both sides of the chamber. Every one of them stood completely still, maintaining absolute vigilance. Their expressions were solemn, and their eyes never wandered far from their master.
The moment Alex’s eyelids moved, the tense atmosphere that had dominated the room for days shattered instantly.
"Master!"
Ren was the first to react.
He stepped forward immediately, his face brightening with unconcealed relief. The anxiety that had burdened him during the past week seemed to melt away in an instant. The other disciples quickly followed, surrounding the bed while maintaining a respectful distance.
Their expressions revealed a mixture of joy, admiration, and lingering concern.
The image of Alex collapsing after destroying a cosmic sovereign had become a nightmare that none of them could forget. For seven days they had remained at his side, fearing that their master had paid a terrible price for his victory.
Alex sat upright with smooth and effortless movements.
His eyes briefly scanned the room before settling on Ren.
"How long have I been asleep?"
"Seven days, Master," Ren replied respectfully.
He lowered his head slightly before continuing.
"After the dimensional collapse, we immediately transported you to the royal palace of the central capital. Vorkoth has been securing the surrounding territory and maintaining order. As for us, we refused to leave your side until you awakened."
Alex nodded slowly.
His gaze swept across the faces of all eight disciples.
A quiet seriousness gradually settled over Alex’s expression.
He had already made his decision.
"Good."
The single word caused the disciples to straighten unconsciously.
"Now leave."
The room fell silent.
Alex’s voice remained calm, yet it carried an unmistakable authority.
"Make contact with every powerful god and major force in this world. Establish communication channels and form a complete governing structure."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"I will be leaving soon. After my departure, you will oversee this world government on my behalf."
The words struck the disciples like a thunderbolt.
Only moments earlier they had been celebrating their master’s recovery. Now they were being confronted with the reality they had spent years trying not to think about.
The joy on their faces disappeared.
An oppressive silence filled the chamber.
Although they had always known this day would come, none of them had truly been prepared for it.
Their teacher had long surpassed the limits of this world. Someone who could erase someone like the dragon monarch and reshape realities could never remain confined within a single world forever.
Even so, understanding a truth and accepting it were entirely different matters.
Ren clenched his fists.
For a brief moment, he wanted to speak. Countless words rose to his throat.
He wanted to ask his master to stay.
He wanted to follow him.
He wanted to know when they would meet again.
Yet the instant he met Alex’s eyes, every word vanished.
There was no hesitation within them.
No uncertainty.
No regret.
Only absolute determination.
Ren understood immediately.
The path ahead belonged to Alex alone.
The other disciples understood as well.
Their master was destined to walk among higher realms and greater realities. The places he would visit were beyond their current comprehension.
Suppressing the sadness within their hearts, the eight disciples stepped back and formed a perfect line.
As one, they dropped to their knees.
Their foreheads touched the polished floor.
"We understand, Master."
Their voices echoed through the chamber.
Emotion was evident in every word.
This was not merely a farewell.
It was an acknowledgment of the journey they had shared and the path that now separated them.
After remaining in that position for several moments, they rose to their feet.
No one spoke again.
The disciples gave their master one final respectful bow before turning toward the exit.
A few seconds later, the chamber doors closed softly behind them.
Silence returned.
Alex was finally alone.
Without wasting any time, he directed his attention inward.
"System."
A familiar chime sounded inside his mind.
"Have you learned anything about the treasure fragment?"
[Ding! Analysis has produced preliminary results.]
[Ding! The treasure fragment is part of a higher-order Cube. Based upon available data, the Cube exists on a level that completely surpasses the Genesis Realm.]
Alex’s eyes sharpened immediately.
The System continued.
[Ding! The material composing the fragment originates from a reality of vastly superior order. Even if the entire Genesis Realm were to experience total conceptual destruction, the probability of damaging this fragment remains extremely low.]
[Ding! Furthermore, the fragment contains a foundational matrix capable of initiating a higher-order evolutionary process within me.]
Alex raised an eyebrow.
That statement alone was enough to attract his attention.
"A higher-order evolution?"
[Ding! Correct.]
A thoughtful expression appeared on Alex’s face.
"Anything else?"
[Ding! The fragment contains enormous untapped potential. However, unlocking its deeper functions will require extensive analysis, significant computational resources, and a substantial amount of time.]
Alex nodded.
"We will analyze it while moving forward."
His thoughts shifted toward the destination that had occupied his mind for so long.
The Genesis Realm.
The place where Anna was taken away.
"I want to enter the Genesis Realm immediately. Give me everything you know."
[Ding! The Genesis Realm may be visualized as an infinite Chaos River. Within this river float countless Absolute Realities, each functioning as an independent cosmic domain.]
[Ding! The realm is effectively endless and contains thousands of supreme empires, divine kingdoms, and transcendent civilizations.]
[Ding! Among all powers, three Hegemonic Factions stand at the top.]
The Angel Race.
The Chaos Clan.
The Genesis Vampire Race, also known as the Eternal Clan.
Alex listened quietly.
When he heard the final name, Anna’s image appeared within his thoughts.
A faint flame ignited in his heart.
"What about cultivation levels?"
[Ding! Entities within the Genesis Realm are categorized according to Grades.]
[Ding! Universal-level beings through Absolute Reality-level beings are ranked from Grade 1 to Grade 8.]
[Ding! Beyond Grade 8 are the Domain Masters.]
[Ding! Above all others stand the Paragons.]
[Ding! The Angel of Creation was a Paragon.]
Alex rapidly evaluated his current strength.
Without external assistance, he was approximately equivalent to a Grade 3 Entity.
However, the residual authority left behind by the Angel of Creation still remained within his soul. If forced into a desperate battle, he could temporarily elevate his strength all the way to Grade 8.
Even so, Domain Masters and Paragons remained distant goals.
The gap between them was enormous.
Yet Alex had never been intimidated by impossible odds.
"Use the treasure fragment."
His voice was calm.
"Conceal my identity. My Absolute Veil talent alone may not be sufficient against the strongest members of the Eternal Clan."
[Ding! Command acknowledged.]
[Ding! Activating Cube Fragment.]
[Ding! Deploying Conceptual Masking.]
Instantly, an invisible layer descended upon Alex’s existence.
His aura vanished.
His destiny disappeared.
Even the traces of his soul became impossible to perceive.
It was as though reality itself had forgotten he existed.
Any ordinary observer would see nothing unusual.
Even powerful cosmic entities would struggle to detect his presence.
A faint smile appeared on Alex’s face.
Everything was ready.
He slowly rose from the bed and looked toward the distant heavens beyond the palace walls.
Now he was ready enter the genesis realm but he had something else to do first.
"Iniate a contact with the World System", he commnaded.
Suddenly a strange female voice entered his head.
[Hello Mister. I am the world system. How may I help you?]
Alex knew why the system was so respectful. But he didn’t ponder about it.
" I want to take control over you and place you inside my inner world. What do you say?", Alex asked.
[I control only a small portion of this multiverse. But there is another entity which controls the rest of the part. And he doesn’t like to communicate with me either.]
