Chapter 146: Chapter 146 – What Will She Do Next?
A thick, almost suffocating silence fell between them for a moment.
Olivia, who had just been passionately venting her anger, suddenly fell silent.
Her face froze for a split second.
She was surprised and even a little frightened by the sudden change in Sohen.
Just a second ago, he had been sitting with his head bowed, humiliated, guilty, his shoulders trembling slightly, but now...
A completely different man sat before her.
His gaze had turned cold, lifeless, emotionless.
The eyes that just a minute ago had been full of guilt now looked at her as if he were looking right through her.
His posture straightened, his shoulders squared, and a heavy, oppressive aura filled the air around him.
It even felt as though the temperature had dropped by a few degrees.
This wasn’t just anger.
It was a real, suffocating threat.

- (Sister Olivia). "..."
Olivia instinctively began to tremble.
Her fingers, clenched around the cup, quivered almost imperceptibly.
She was surprised by this trembling herself... Matriarch Olivia, a woman who for decades had held power, authority, and hundreds of souls in her hands, suddenly felt genuine fear toward the young man.
Sohen remained silent, simply staring at her.
That gaze was heavier than any words.
Olivia felt physically uncomfortable and even in pain, as if someone were squeezing her chest from the inside.
(Damn... I’m so sick of all this...)
A few seconds later, Sohen slowly stretched his left shoulder, which had grown a little stiff from sitting in the same position for so long.
He looked away from Olivia, glanced around the cafeteria as if checking to see if anyone was noticing their conversation, and then slowly picked up his cup, took a sip of the now-lukewarm tea, and carefully set it back down.
His movements were slow, controlled, almost predatory.
Finally, he turned his attention back to Olivia and spoke in a low, calm, yet incredibly heavy voice:
- (Me). "You’ve gone too far with your remarks, Sister Olivia..."
He spoke quietly so that no one in the cafeteria would hear, but every word landed like a blow.
- (Me). "You could say all those horrible things about me, and overall, you were right. I deserve a good scolding for my actions, and I don’t deny that, but... you had absolutely no right to say those filthy, disgusting, horrible things about Runo..."
Sohen paused, his gaze growing even heavier.
- (Me). "There isn’t enough time to list everything Runo has done for me, for my family, and even for you throughout her entire life. She is one of the best people who exist on this sinful earth. My grandmother is a beautiful person, both inside and out. Runo... a saintly woman. A true saint, and if you ever say anything bad about her in front of me again... I promise that with my own hands, I’ll make sure you regret for the rest of your life that you ever uttered such blasphemous words against her."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
Olivia was completely taken aback.
She sat there, unable to utter a single word, still trembling ever so slightly.
This was the first time she had seen Sohen like this.
Cold and clearly dangerous.
Olivia was unsettled, but... as always, the nun remained a strong woman.
After a while, she gathered her strength.
A serious, almost haughty expression returned to her face.
She straightened up, lifted her chin, and looked at him defiantly.
- (Sister Olivia). "Who do you think you are to speak to me like that? You’re just a boy picked up off the street, and I am Sister Olivia. I have influence you couldn’t even dream of. I head one of the most influential religious organizations in the country. My connections reach the highest political circles, the courts, and the business world. One word from me — and your name could vanish from every registry. One word from me, and you’ll never see your family’s faces again. I can freeze your crypto accounts; I can make your investments disappear overnight. I can..."
She spoke at length, listing her power — social, political, financial, but...
- (Me). "Influence... Power... Connections... Well, I’d argue with you about the existence of these concepts and would gladly compare them to my own, ha-ha-ha..."

- (Sister Olivia). "..."
- (Me). "Anyway, that’s beside the point... I’m already tired of this conversation. Let’s cut the drama. Just tell me straight out — what do you really want now that you’ve heard about my relationship with Runo?"
Olivia hesitated for a moment, then replied after a pause:
- (Sister Olivia). "I want to save my best friend... from your lustful hands."
Sohen raised an eyebrow slightly.
- (Me). "Save her?"
- (Sister Olivia). "Yes!"
Olivia’s voice grew harsher.
- (Sister Olivia). "You mustn’t be her romantic partner... I’ve never forgotten that sad, broken look in Runo’s eyes when we first met many years ago..."
- (Me). "..."
Olivia began her monologue.
She started by talking about her past with Runo, touched on religious and social issues, and ended by discussing what was happening now.
With every word, she revealed new facets of herself and, in the end, showed her true colors.
(She’s just a terrible sexist...)
Olivia no longer hid her true feelings.
Her voice grew increasingly emotional and misandric:
- (Sister Olivia). "Men are a mistake of the Mother Goddess. They destroy everything pure. I’ve seen this in Runo’s experience and, to some extent, in my own. Her ex-husband... that horrible scumbag was a real animal. Her father and his circle... They made my best friend’s life a living hell. And you... you’re just like her ex-husband. Looking at you... I’m sure you’ll repeat that cycle."
- (Me). "..."
(Does she think I’ll treat Runo like... Grandpa? I can’t make sense of some of the things Miss Mature says, but this young man... will do everything he can to make sure his grandmother enjoys the best years of her life.)
Sister Olivia spoke at length and passionately — about women’s struggles, about how she and Runo had spent decades trying to change the world, about how her friend had finally found peace, only to find herself back in the clutches of a man.
Toward the end, Olivia almost hissed:
- (Sister Olivia). "All men should die out as soon as possible. You are a mistake of creation."
Sohen listened to all this with a completely neutral expression.
When she finally finished, he calmly took a sip of his now-cooled tea and said quietly:
- (Me). "Is that all you wanted to say?"
That emotionless gaze finally sent Olivia over the edge.
Her face contorted with rage.
- (Sister Olivia). "You fucking piece of shit! Do all my words mean absolutely nothing to you?... I was right about all men! You’re all the same! You’re just a filthy, selfish, spineless piece of shit! But I’ll save Runo! I’ll bring her back to the truth! I..."
- (Me). "Ha-ha-ha..."
- (Sister Olivia). "???"
Sohen suddenly began to smile slowly.
At first, it was barely noticeable, then it grew wider.
A few seconds later, he was already laughing — quietly but sincerely, with tears even welling up in the corners of his eyes.
He wiped them away with his finger and kept smiling.

- (Sister Olivia). "You think this is funny? You..."
Sohen leaned closer to her, looked her straight in the eyes, and said words that made her eyes widen instantly:
- (Me). "Why didn’t you stop us that night, when you had the chance?"
- (Sister Olivia). "!!!"
- (Me). "If you really wanted to save Runo... Why didn’t you go into the room and stop it? Why did you just stand there at the door... and watch? Why did you listen to your best friend moaning lustfully and screaming in ecstasy while her ’dirty grandson’ fucked her without protection?"
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
Olivia couldn’t answer.
- (Sister Olivia). "I... I..."
- (Me). "I’ve always considered you a paragon of purity. A symbol of sinlessness, but that night... there was a complete absence of holiness among everyone present..."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
- (Me). "Have you really forgotten? Then let me remind you... our eyes suddenly met when I noticed that the door to the room wasn’t completely closed..."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
- (Me). "Do you need me to remind you what happened next, too? You even left your bodily fluids behind as a memento after... that act of voyeurism. Did you really want to be in your friend’s place — or, on the contrary, in mine?"
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
- (Me). "You’re just as sinful as we are. Save your holiness for your subjects and... don’t you ever dare say anything bad about Runo again. You’re no better than us — in fact, you’re even worse..."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
Olivia lowered her head and stared silently at her cup.
Sohen leaned back in his chair.
- (Me). "I’m going to keep having sex with Runo..."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
- (Me). "And there’s nothing you can do about it... Thanks for the talk. If that’s all — I’m leaving."
He started to stand up, but suddenly felt a slight dizziness.
(What on earth...)
It quickly got worse.
Vision began to blur.
- (Sister Olivia). "Ha-ha-ha..."
- (Me). "???"
Suddenly, the nun started laughing and slowly began to lift her head.
Her face... was smiling, and there was a strange sense of nostalgia in her expression.
- (Sister Olivia). "I think... it’s time."

- (Me). "What?"
(Shit... My head...)
- (Sister Olivia). "You... really do look a lot like ’him.’ I’m very happy about that."
- (Me). "???"
(What is she talking about?)
Sohen wanted to say something, but his vision instantly went completely black.
(What the hell!...)
He lost consciousness and fell heavily onto the table.
- (Sister Olivia). "Sohen..."
The nun slowly stood up, walked over to him, and gently ran her hand through his hair.
- (Sister Olivia). "I’m sorry... I’m sorry, Sohen, but... it’ll be better for everyone this way."
After saying those words, she looked at the cup Sohen had been drinking from, and a few seconds later, a look of... serenity appeared on her face.
