Chapter 145: Chapter 145 – The Problem and The Blame
About fifteen minutes had passed since Sohen and Sister Olivia had found common ground.
They started by discussing various facts about tea and ended up talking about complex legal terms, when suddenly Olivia...
(Wow. I didn’t expect Miss Olivia to be so well-versed in law...)
- (Sister Olivia). "Sohen... How are you doing yourself?
- (Me). "..."
- (Sister Olivia). "Also... How’s your family?"
Sohen replied calmly, almost automatically:
- (Me). "Same as always. I’m into cryptocurrency, working on investments, and trying not to neglect exercise and self-improvement. Karin continues to teach online yoga classes; everything’s stable for her. Phoebe’s also keeping to her own rhythm — sewing, social media, sales. Everything’s more or less business as usual."
Olivia nodded, took a small sip of tea, and, as if in passing, asked:
- (Sister Olivia). "I see, that’s good, and... How are things with Runo? How has she been feeling lately?"
Olivia leaned forward slightly.
Her enormous H-cup breasts swayed almost imperceptibly beneath her black dress.

- (Me). "Are you asking about Grandma? I thought you two talked often and knew everything about each other? Wasn’t Grandma Runo with you today, Sister Olivia?"
She looked away, as if gathering her thoughts, and then replied quietly:
- (Sister Olivia). "Yes, we met today, but... lately, Runo and I... haven’t been talking as much. Because of an incident. So... I was curious to find out how my friend is doing."
- (Me). "..."
(An incident? Did they have a argue? I don’t know what happened between them in the past, but this seems to be the first time they’ve had a conflict... Could I be to blame for this? That would be bad if so. I need to get these two friends back to their usual relationship as soon as possible, but...)
- (Me). "She’s... doing fine. She’s healthy and active. Grandma is going about her business and acting as usual."
- (Sister Olivia). "Glad to hear it..."
After Olivia spoke, a brief silence hung between them, and Olivia, taking a deep breath as if gathering her strength, looked up at him and asked quietly but clearly:
- (Sister Olivia). "Sohen, tell me honestly... What is your relationship with your grandmother Runo really like?"
- (Me). "..."
(I was expecting this question, but...)
Sohen... gripped the handle of his cup when the nun finally spoke the words he had suspected he might hear within the walls of this small cafeteria.
He lowered his gaze and replied quietly:
- (Me). "Like... between a grandmother and her grandson."
- (Sister Olivia). "..."
At those words, Olivia’s face twitched slightly.
A small, sarcastic smile appeared on her lips, one that didn’t fit her image as a nun at all.
- (Sister Olivia). "Between a grandson and a grandmother? Ha-ha... Even after what you did at my estate?"
- (Me). "..."
Sohen didn’t answer; he just lowered his gaze slightly, looking at the table.
Olivia leaned forward.
Her voice grew softer, but it took on a steely edge:

- (Sister Olivia). "I didn’t call you here for no reason. One of the reasons is your inappropriate relationship with Runo right now. Tell me, Sohen... how could you do that?! With your step-grandmother. With the person who took you into her family as her own. With a woman who’s decades older than you. How could you sleep with her?!"
Sohen replied hesitantly, without looking up:
- (Me). "The situation got out of hand... Grandma had drunk too much that night and... seduced me, and then there was..."
Olivia exhaled sharply.
Her face began to flush slightly with obvious anger.
- (Sister Olivia). "Is that how you’re defending yourself? Blaming it all on a drunk woman? Are you serious?"
- (Me). "No... I’m not defending myself; I just want to be honest with you. That incident has been stuck in my head for a long time. I know I acted immorally. If I’d really wanted to stop it all... that perverted act between us wouldn’t have happened, but I gave in... to my desires in front of a beautiful, drunk woman and did something irrational."
Olivia began to get even angrier.
Her cheeks were flushed, and her fingers clenched the cup’s handle so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
- (Sister Olivia). "Your actions are not merely immoral and repulsive, Sohen. They go against all the religious laws of the Mother Goddess. Incest is one of the gravest sins. It destroys the family from within, desecrating the sacred bonds of blood and love established by the Mistress herself. The Holy Scriptures clearly state that a person must not lie with a relative by blood or by spirit. This is not merely a prohibition — it is a safeguard against the destruction of the soul. Incest breeds chaos, moral degeneration, and the loss of God’s grace. It makes a person akin to animals that know no bounds. And you... you did this with the woman you call Grandma! With the person who raised your mother! With a member of your own family!"
- (Me). "..."
(Ugh... This is a problem...)
Olivia spoke at length and passionately; her voice trembled with indignation.
She recounted biblical examples in detail about Latto and his daughters, about the curses that fell upon nations that practiced incest.
The nun spoke and repeated how such a sin defiles not only the body but also the soul, how it distances a person from God.
The matriarch spoke of spiritual death, of the loss of the right to the Kingdom of Heaven, and of how even confession cannot always fully cleanse such a grave sin.
- (Sister Olivia). "I wouldn’t care if something like this happened to strangers, even if it took place on my own estate, but the fact that such a sinful, filthy, disgusting act took place between people I care about... among members of the same family... among people who believe in the same Goddess as I do... it fills me with deep indignation. It wounds me deeply..."
- (Me). "..."
Sohen sat with his head bowed, humiliated and silent.
Her every word struck at his most vulnerable spots.
Olivia, no longer holding back, flushed even redder with rage.
She continued to harshly criticize him as a person:
- (Sister Olivia). "You are weak and selfish. You think only of your base desires. You betrayed the family’s trust. You betrayed the Goddess. You’re just a common debauchee hiding behind the words ’the situation got out of control...’. You’re disgusting in your sin!"

- (Me). "..."
(It’s a good thing no one in the cafeteria notices Miss Olivia’s state, because it would be even more awkward, but... that only makes it a little easier.)
Olivia’s words continued to beat him down.
- (Sister Olivia). "You’re a worthless piece of trash, and you’ll end up in Hell! It was a huge mistake to support Karin and Runo when they wanted to adopt. I’m to blame for this, and now the sin rests on me as well... Runo... Runo’s an idiot, too. What was she thinking back then when she wanted to sleep with you? She’s also... a slut, terrible whore who..."
- (Me). "..."
(You...)
When the nun spoke those words about his dear grandmother, Sohen, who had been sitting with a guilty look on his face and his head slightly bowed, slowly raised his eyes.
His voice sounded serious, firm, and menacing:
- (Me). "Enough..."
- (Sister Olivia). "???"
He looked at Olivia with a neutral yet commanding gaze.
- (Me). "Your tone is starting to annoy me."
