Chapter 48: [Bonus Chapter] INSULTED
Erika was at home watching a movie with Monica as always after coming back from work. The big mansion was quiet because Mr and Mrs Walters have traveled back home and the Walters brothers have also gone back to their respective career.
"Hey", Ethan greeted the both of them and pecked Erika on the cheek.
"Where have you been?" Erika asked Ethan who disappeared since morning.
"I asked peter to look for a house for me so that is what I went to do. Here...." he showed pictures of the house he just bought.
Erika was speechless that Ethan was looking for another house. She thought they would be living together but it seemed that he was going to his own house. She started to feel worry if she was being too clingy and that could be the reason he was leaving.
"It looks good but isn’t it too big for you?" Erika asked.
Monica asked for the pictures as well and Erika gave it to her to take a look.
"It’s not only for me silly, you are moving in with me", Ethan declared with a bright smile. "I want you to be close to me all the time."
Erika’s eyes went wide open in surprise this time. She felt stupid for thinking that Ethan was already tired of her or thought of her to be clingy.
"Hey!! What did you just say?!" Monica interrupted and paused the movie. "What do you mean by Erika is moving in with you?"
Both Erika and Ethan were surprised by Monica’s sudden outburst.
"I moved to New York hoping to spend some time with Erika but Felix sent her back here for business and now that we are finally together, you are asking her to move in with you?"
Ethan and Erika were speechless to hear what Monica was spouting. They didn’t know how to respond to her little complain.
"Umm... you can still come to visit us whenever you want", Ethan said to Monica who was fuming.
"Yes or you can come with us tomorrow to see it", Erika suggested but the latter shook her head.
"No way. You two are just going to feed me dog food all day" Monica rejected the offer and focused her attention back on the TV.
Erika only shrugged her shoulders before facing Ethan.
"So when will we be going to check out our new house?"
"Will tomorrow be convenient for you?" Ethan asked Erika.
"Yeah, tomorrow it is. I have something to tell you?" Erika said. "Adrain is asking for for partnership with the Walters corporations". She didn’t want to hide anything from Ethan and thought it was only right that he knew about it.
"Does he know you are the CEO?" Ethan felt Erika shook her head that was placed on his chest. He could sense that she did not want to partner with the Harts. "If you don’t want it then you can reject it besides if you partner with the Harts, they will be the one to benefit more since they are looking for top companies to recover their resources."
"You are right". She didn’t want to think about Adrian while she was here cuddling with Ethan. Also she didn’t want to partner with a company she was going to destroy anyway. Ethan lifted Erika’s chin and pecked her lips.
"Geez.... can you guys stop with the PDA please. Some of us are single here you know", Monica chimed in.
The couple laughed and decided to watch the movie seriously now. Erika rested her head on Ethan’s chest and when it finished, they trio retired to their bedrooms to rest for the night. Erika slept peacefully that night because the next day she would be seeing the house she would be living in with Ethan.

In the highest floor of a big building, the clicking of an high heel on the clean clear marble floor could be heard which attracted the attention of the employees. A lady wore a tight fitting short red dress that hugged her body perfectly, making her look seductive as she continued walking with the heels like it was made for her.
When the employees at the highest floor saw the lady who was making so much noise with her heels, they all sneered and pulled their heads back into their respective cubicle. Whenever the lady came over, nothing but trouble always happens. She would get their boss offended and he will vent it out on them by making them work overtime. They despised that lady, Jasmine.
Jasmine walked with a smile without caring about the looks the people were giving her. She only rolled her eyes at them until she reached Ethan’s office but found it empty. She thought Ethan might have gone out so she went to Peter’s office to ask for his whereabouts. Without knocking, she badged in.
"Where is Ethan? And why isn’t he in his office?" She questioned peter who was busy with some files on his desk.
Peter’s work has piled up more since Ethan was temporarily no longer in the office and he needed to finish them quickly as well. And the last thing he wanted at the moment was to be interrupted by a witch, asking him irrelevant questions. He didn’t reply and continued typing on his computer.
"HEY! Are you deaf? Am talking to you?! Where is Ethan?" She questioned the busy man much more loudly this time.
Peter heaved a sigh of frustration before replying,
"Why should I tell you? If he didn’t tell you where he went to then that only means you are not important enough to know", Peter replied calmly without even looking at her.
Jasmine immediately flared up after hearing what he was saying. As the only daughter of the Davis, she has been pampered by everyone and she wouldn’t allow a mere secretary like Peter to insult her. She raised her hand and was about to slap him but he interrupted her.
"I would advise you not to do that. If you lay your finger on me, I will send you back to prison. I heard that you just got out from there but it seems that you are missing your inmates already, would you like me to send you back", Peter looked at her coldly. Being Ethan’s right hand man had made him able to inherit some of his boss’s habits.
