Chapter 45: IS THAT HER?
The both of them went back in to go celebrate with the others. Ethan fed Erika some cake and she did too. The people around noticed that they have gotten much more closer to each other and they had an idea why but didn’t say anything. They were all happy for them.
Monica was having a drink while watching the others talk. Then a shadow came to hover around her.
"You are drinking again? Don’t you ever get tired of drinking all the time?" The person said which earned him a glare from Monica.
"Excuse you, this is apple juice. Can’t you smell it? And besides if I was drinking, how is that your business? You don’t like it when I drink right?" Monica questioned him back. Felix only chuckled and sipped from his glass. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"What do you mean?" Felix asked.
"I mean why are you sitting here, beside me? Don’t I disgust now that am drinking? Shouldn’t you be having fun with the others or talking about business matters or something with your father?" Monica continued. Ever since they have known each other, The both of them went back in to go celebrate with the others. Ethan fed Erika some cake and she did too. "What do you mean?" Felix asked.
"I mean why are you sitting here, beside me. Shouldn’t you be having fun with the others or talking about business matters or something with your father?" Monica explained. Ever since they have known each other, Felix rarely stayed beside her because he thought she was a weirdo but now he was the one sitting beside her. Besides, after what happened to them in the past, she didn’t want to expect anything from him.
"Can’t I sit beside you", Felix questioned Monica who continued to sip her juice as she watched the people dance to the music that echoed in the grand living room.
"Do whatever you want", Monica remarked and got up to leave.
Felix watched her walked towards Erika and the both of them started dancing. Thankfully, their mother and father have already retired to their rooms so they don’t have to see the dirty moves the two girls were displaying.
Felix’s eyes were on Monica the whole time. He and Monica have always been like cat and dog since they were kids, always arguing from one thing to the other. But after what happened 6 years ago, their interaction had drastically reduced.
Since the day she arrived at his office, he just came to the realization that Monica has grown into a beautiful woman.
Felix sipped from his glass while his focus were still on Monica. Time flied quickly until it was almost midnight. It was a good thing that the next day, non of them would need to wake up early and go to work because it was a weekend so they can all sleep in.
Ethan didn’t want to leave Erika already but then luckily for him, she asked him to stay with her.
The next day, Ethan took Erika’s hands and dragged her playfully inside the mall. That morning, Ethan woke up wanting to shower Erika with gifts but she had refused, saying she didn’t need anything but Ethan wouldn’t listen.

At the mall,
"You don’t really have to do this, Ethan?" Erika said to new boyfriend, who was checking out a green dress to see if it would suit Erika’s body shape or not but after a second thought, he flung it away and started looking for another one.
he responded and then he saw a black dress that would really suit Erika and her body shape.
He noticed a mannequin that wore a black dress that would definitely suit Erika. He walked towards it before responding,
"But I want to do this especially now that you are officially my girlfriend. Here, try this. I think it will suit you".
Erika took the dress and immediately fell in love with it, it seems that her boyfriend has a very good eye when it comes to fashion. She didn’t waste anymore second and went to go try it on.

At the parking lot, Adrian was grumbling some words in anger. He was not in a happy mood because he had just received a reply from the Walters corporations rejecting his email, saying they were not interested. He was able to get another deal but the profit won’t be as much as the one he could get from the Walters Corporations.
And just in cue, Felicia complained that he hadn’t taken her to shopping for a long time now. He didn’t understand it, she had money to take herself shopping but she said that it would be more romantic when the husband accompany’s his wife to shopping.
Adrain could have rejected it but he knew another argument would arise if he did so. Therefore, he just agreed.
The both of them went to the female section and Felicia started picking some clothes for herself.
Erika who had already worn the dress came out and showed it to Ethan. They were in the VIP section so they weren’t able to see Felicia and Adrain who were outside, checking out the dresses the mannequins wore for display.
Ethan admired Erika’s body with his eyes and complimented her, "You look breathtakingly beautiful." Erika smiled sheepishly at him as she felt living butterflies in her tummy.
"Next up, the shoe section", Ethan announced and couldn’t help but laugh. She has never been spoilt like this by any guy before so she was still trying to get used to the feeling.
Ethan went to go pay and requested for Erika to pick out anything that she fancied and the latter nodded. Erika went outside of the store to look at their display gowns. While Adrain was still arguing with Felicia, he turned his head away from her to look at somewhere else until he noticed someone who looked exactly like his ex wife, Erika. Out of shock, Adrain froze still, not moving an inch. Erika was still wearing the black dress that highlighted her curves which made her looked completely sexy in the attire.
Felicia called out to Adrain but his attention wasn’t on her anymore. He was looking at someone, a woman. The lady looks sexy, she thought to herself with bitterness until it dawned on her. That was Erika?
