Chapter 43: FAILED SEDUCTION
"WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS?!" Evelyn barked angrily at Erika, totally forgetting her status. "I am a shareholder here, you can’t buy me out!"
"I already did so can you leave this place now?" Erika requested with a nonchalant attitude which angered the woman even more.
"I am going to sue you", Evelyn threatened as she pointed her fingers towards Erika.
"Go ahead but we will see who will end up in jail. I have proof here about your illegal transfers and am sure this is more than enough evidence to put you in jail for a long time. I could also request the captain to put all of you in the same cell as Mr Charles", Said Erika. Everyone tensed up when she uttered "all of you".
Erika wasn’t planning on putting them in jail like she did to Mr Charles but after the argument with Evelyn, her blood boiled. She casually took her phone and sent a message to Eve to call the police quickly. She had to do it discreetly else they might run away.
Erika brought out the other shareholders bank records and as expected, they all cursed at Erika. They had tried to lay low after Mr Charles was removed but their previous transfers sold them out.
By the time Erika was done exposing their deeds, the police had already arrived and took all 4 greedy shareholders away to jail. Out of 8 shareholders, only 4 were remaining.
Erika looked at all of them one by one and warned,
"I hope this will help remind you of what I can do if any of you betrays me. I don’t want to have bad blood with any of you, I just some honest people here. Do you understand me?"
The remaining 4 shareholders replied in unison, "Yes, we understand". They all understood that what the other 4 did was wrong and they deserved their punishments. Erika was satisfied with their reply and left. She would also keep an eye on them.

In New York, Ethan was in the study room in his apartment trying to cover as much documents as possible. He had been doing these for a few days now.
The Anderson corporations didn’t have a branch in California, else it would have been more easier for him to move over there so that he can be close with Erika. He was actually thinking of creating a branch there but didn’t have any trustworthy person to put over there to help watch the company for him.
Ethan missed Erika so much and he hadn’t had the chance to text or call her but he was doing everything so that he can be there with her in the first place.
Ethan was flipping from one document to the other when his phone beeped and a message came in. It was from Jasmine and it says she was outside his apartment.
Ethan didn’t have a clue about what could have suddenly brought Jasmine over to his place so he simply ignored her text and continued with his work.
Another message came in saying she was drenched in the rain. So, out of pity, Ethan went to go open the door for her and like she said, she was drenched in the heavy rain which was odd because Ethan noticed her car parked at a corner. Couldn’t she had stayed in her car? Ethan asked himself.
"Thank you so much", she said to Ethan immediately after they were inside.
"What are you doing here?" Ethan questioned, going straight to the point. He didn’t like the fact that Jasmine was in his apartment but he wasn’t completely heartless like her.
"I was drenched in the rain, can’t you see?" Jasmine asked showing her wet clothes.
"Why didn’t you stay in your car? Also, why were you in the estate?" Ethan assumed she had an ulterior motive for coming here.
He already got the news that she had been released and had been trying to contact him but he never answered her.
"My car ran out of fuel so it got hot there and I was in the area when my car almost ran out of fuel so I decided to stop here. Why, Ethan? Am I no longer allowed in your house?" She asked Ethan walking closer to him slowly.
"Yes, you are no longer allowed. Also call your family’s driver to come pick you up because if you think that you would be spending the night here, you are mistaken", Ethan spat and went back to his study room to continue working.
Jasmine smiled deviously at Ethan’s back and went to one of the guest rooms. She had come with a plan and won’t leave until she succeeds. She had an extra bag that had clothes in it, so she showered and went to the kitchen to go prepare food for the both of them.
Jasmine took out a bottle from one of her pockets and poured the content into the food. She smiled like she had already won. If everything goes accordingly as she planned then in 9 months, she would be bearing Ethan a child.
After she was done pouring the bottle of aphrodisiac into the food she prepared, she also poured some of it into the drinks. "You are mine now Ethan", she mumbled to herself.
Jasmine carried the tray of food and went to the study room. She knocked before going in. She saw Ethan looking at her coldly which made her shiver for a second.
"Look, I made your favorite. Come on, let’s dig in", jasmine announced with a huge smile plastered on her face. She felt like she had already won but Ethan didn’t bother to move from his original position.
"Did I ask you to prepare anything?" Ethan questioned her coldly.
"Well no, but I thought I should prepare some food to thank you for letting me stay for the night", she replied and staring dishing out the food.
"You are not saying here for the night, call your driver and tell him to come pick you up else you will be sleeping in your car tonight," Ethan reminded Jasmine. "And take these away from me, I am not hungry".
"Come on, let’s eat together. Okay since you are so busy, how about you have some drinks first", Jasmine picked up a glass of wine and handed it over to him. Ethan was suspicious so he took the glass of wine and smelled it and then it dawned on him.
Ethan stared at Jasmine so coldly that her heart raced in panic. It contains aphrodisiac, he thought to himself.
