Chapter 383: OWNERSHIP
The elevator rode up to the last floor where they presumed the CEO of the Wilson corporation’s office would be.
The elevator dinged open and rows and rows of secretaries were either answering calls or staring at them as they marched inside.
Without knocking, Ethan walked inside the office and found a woman who was in her early thirties behind the desk. Another woman was beside her, probably another secretary who had files in her hands.
"Bring the files to me later," the woman said, glaring at Ethan who glared back at her with. The secretary nodded before she bowed and left the office while giving the two intruders side eyes before she exited the room completely.
Jennie, a woman in her early thirties with pale skin and awesome facial features rearranged her dress before she cleared her throat to invite the guest.
"Welcome Ethan, long time no see! How have you been?" She greeted Ethan with the brightest smile that revealed her pearly white teeth.
Jennie gestured towards the chair for him to have a seat but doubted he would do so.
"You are such a big businessman and you don’t even know how to knock before opening a door? What a bad habit... tsk tsk tsk," she mocked with a little hiss as she shook her head as if she was disappointed.
"I’m not here for any chats," Ethan began, ignoring all of Jennie’s comments. "I just came here to ask you a few questions first. Like, what did I ever do to you for you to steal my business partners?" He added and as soon as those words left his mouth, Jennie started laughing.
"What do you mean, Ethan? I never stole any of your partners," she said in between laughs before her eyes finally caught another figure in the office. It was Peter. But she snorted and didn’t bother to acknowledge the secretary. "You see Ethan, in business, if you can’t offer something to your partners, something that would make them want to stay with you, don’t blame me if they run towards my company when I offer them more shares."
"People are greedy, if you give them the right price, they will come running towards you. You should know this by now."
Jennie shook her head with a smile on her lips, still finding Ethan’s question funny.
Ethan’s hands were clenched together, while veins popped out of them as he tried to hold back his anger before he punched a certain someone in the face. He didn’t beat women and he never would even though the one right in front of him was a animal that needed to be butchered.
"Drop the act. You and I both know why you are doing this. But if you think this is the way you can destroy both me and my company, you are mistaken."
Jennie’s smile that was dancing on his lips immediately faltered.
"Believe me when I say, this is just the beginning. I haven’t even started yet. I’m going to make sure that both you and your family pay for what you did to me," Jennie promised with a cold look. "I heard that you have a wife and two children already, I bet you wouldn’t want to get them involved in this matter now would you." She smirked at the end of her sentence.
"If you dare harm my family, I promise you, Jennie, you would regret ever coming back to this country. I will ruin you," Ethan promised but Jennie only smiled like a psycho.
"As if you regret doing what you did to me. If you think about it, this is just a payback. I bet you didn’t think I would come back and make you pay huh? No wonder you are still surprised. I will make sure that you get what you deserve but there’s a way to dissolve this dispute," said Jennie before leaving her seat to walk towards Ethan.
She looked up at Ethan with a slutty smile as she whispered in his ears, "The only way is to just give up. Give up your properties to me and everything will be fine. I won’t endanger your family—"
Jennie didn’t get to finish her statement because Ethan had already grabbed her chin tightly and she winced in pain.
"Come near my family and you will regret it."
Ethan laughed out loud and he laughed so hard that he couldn’t breathe again. Jennie glared at Ethan, completely embarrassed by the way she was being laughed at but she patiently waited for him to finish laughing.
Ethan calmed down after a few seconds and released Jennie’s chin with the kind of force that made her stumble back a few feet in her 3 inches heel.
"So you want me to give up my properties to you?" He questioned her and his face didn’t leave of trace of him laughing a few seconds ago.
"Did you think that this would work on me? It seems that you are the one to learn more about business, Jennie. You are still dumb even after going abroad to study but what can I expect, it’s you. You are a disappointment."
Jennie flared in anger as a result of Ethan’s insult.
"You really must think that you have the upper hand here just because you have stolen some of my investors. But do you want to know something?" He asked Jennie, piquing the latter’s curiosity. "I’m glad that they are out of my company which leaves room for more potential people. You want to own my company and the best thing you could think of was stealing my investors?" Ethan chuckled at the end of his sentence which only made Jennie look stupid as she glared at Ethan.
"You are going to have to try harder than that and if you want, you can lure all of my investors to your company. I have many companies lining up for me to partner with them so go ahead."
