Chapter 380: PROBLEM?
The warden glared at them one last time and turned, about to leave but Trey coughed a little to get his attention. The warden turned to him and asked.
"What?"
Trey glanced at Jay before he spoke,
"There could be a possibility that Mack and Jay fought each other and stabbed each other."
The wardens glanced at each other before the one asking the question earlier asked,
"How did you know they were stabbed?"
Viper snickered from the side he was as he mumbled, "Stupid idiot."
On the other hand, Trey’s forehead was already getting coated with sweat when he heard what the warden just asked him. He glanced at Jay who wasn’t looking at him. The other one was looking in front of him with a calm face as oh Trey didn’t just blow their cover.
While the inmates that had a hand in Adrain’s death looked down, internally hoping that Trey would shut up he had already spilled out something that he shouldn’t spill out at all.
"Answer me!" The warden snapped when Trey still hadn’t answered his question yet.
"I-I only g-guessed," he lied with a stutter. The warden narrowed his eyes at him before instructing the others to take Trey away.
Without wasting a second, the wardens marched towards Trey and dragged him out of the cell room as he struggled to be free from them.
Once the wardens had taken Trey away, the other glared at each of the inmates before passing a warning.
"If we find out that Trey killed Adrain with the help of one of you here, you are going to be sorry." And he marched out.
As soon as he was out of sight, muffled mumblings echoed in the cell room but Viper didn’t pay anyone any attention and continued to stare at the ceilings.

"Are you ready? It’s time to go to school!" Erika called out loud and one by one, her three sons marched out of their rooms and down the stairs before coming to stand in front of her. "Those are my good boys." She patted their heads. When it was time to pat Luca’s head, Erika said.
"Remember Luca, no pranks today. Be good to your classmates." And he nodded in understanding and Erika couldn’t help but wonder if he truly understood her at all.
"Don’t worry mum, I will ask our teacher to keep a leash on him so that he won’t be able to go out of my sight for long," said John.
Luca turned to John and frowned.
"I’m not a dog that needs a leash on him." Without waiting for John to reply, he turned to Erika and gave his sweetest smile. "Don’t worry mummy, I promise to behave and I will do so," he added.
Erika could only release a sigh but she made sure to smile back at him.
Turning to Jake, she asked, "Do you need anything in school?"
Instantly, Jake shook his head. "Thanks, aunt but I have everything that I would probably need for school." Erika nodded.
"Alright then, it’s time to go to school." She walked towards the car and they followed behind her.
Erika dropped them at school and made sure they were all settled in before she went back home. Jude was already in the kitchen preparing breakfast. When she saw Erika, she quickly asked,
"Would you like to eat now mam or later? I noticed you didn’t eat when the boys ate this morning."
Erika shook her head before she replied, "I will eat later. You can keep the food in the refrigerator later."
Jude nodded and Erika headed upstairs but she didn’t get to take a step forward when the ringtone of her phone echoed in the house.
Picking it up, she placed it on her ear and answered, "Hello?"

It was dinner time, the boys were back from school and Ethan had already arrived from work a few minutes ago, looking tired, probably from the normal stress of being a CEO, Erika thought.
They sat down together as a family to eat their dinner and Erika watched as Jake made some jokes at the table, igniting laughter from both John and Luca. He only got to know a father, Adrain a few days ago and she was contemplating if she should inform him about the death of his father.
After dinner was over, the kids watched their daily cartoon while Erika waited for Ethan to be done in his study room but he was taking longer than usual on that day.
’Is there an issue with the company?’ Erika wondered. She stood up from the couch and climbed up to his room.
She knocked on the door before she walked inside and the state of the office was one she hadn’t witnessed before since she got to know Ethan.
Pieces of shredded papers were lying on the ground while some that had been ruffled were lying on the ground.
"What happened?" She quickly asked with concern.
Ethan, whose head was focused on the computer in front of him, turned to find Erika at the front of his officer door, looking at him with worried eyes.
Quickly, he closed his computer and started to arrange his desk which also had some other pieces of paper.
"I didn’t see you there," he commented as he continued to arrange the desk.
Erika picked the ones that were at the front of the door and threw them in the trash can before coming to stand in front of him.
"Tell me more happened? Do you need help with something?" Erika asked with concern laced in her tone.
Ethan pulled her by the hand so that she could sit on his lap. When she did, he hummed in delight.
"I was just a bit tired," he replied, keeping her close by wrapping his arm around her.
Erika eyed him for a few seconds before she asked,
"Are you sure?"
Ethan nodded as he leaned in to breathe in her scent.
