Chapter 357: SUICIDE
Robert quickly got out of the parking lot when he heard the banging on the door he’d locked earlier. He sighted a black van outside and quickly got inside.
"Were you able to finish him off?" John immediately asked him as soon as he took a seat.
"Yeah, he’s dead, and so is his girlfriend," he informed him and John nodded his head in understanding.
"The police have received the information and now, they are going to seize everything Francis owns and all of his crimes will be revealed to the public," John informed.
"That’s good for him."
With no more words shared, he ignited the engines of the car and drove back to the house.

"Has my wife come out of the room yet?" Robert asked as soon as he arrived at the house and the men watching sports on the TV shook their heads.
"She’s been inside since you left but we’ve given her lunch," one of them replied. Robert nodded in understanding but wanted to check for himself.
He climbed the stairs and opened the door of her room and what welcomed him was the smell of blood. Quickly, he ran towards her bed and found blood coming out from her neck. He looked at her hand and found the knife she’d used to murder herself still there.
He picked her up, not sure of what to do next but he started shaking her profusely even though he knew she was already gone.
"Please don’t do this to me, Emma! Don’t leave me alone," he pleaded.

Back to the present
"And that was how she died," Viper concluded in his story. He looked at Erika who was trying to hold back her tears for him and gave a sad smile. "I should have kept a good eye on her and not left her alone. Maybe if I did, we would still be together."
Silence filled the entire room before Erika parted her lips to speak.
"I have a question." Without waiting for him to give her a go signal on what it might have been, she continued. "Why did Emma let you work in a gun warehouse and let you be a criminal?"
If it had been most wives, they would immediately try to drive their husbands from such a job knowing it was a dangerous one but Emma did the opposite.
"I was already doing that job before we got married. I hid it from her until she found a gun hidden under our bed one time. She asked question after question. I told her the truth and then she told me to quit. I couldn’t quit because I couldn’t find a better normal job. I didn’t complete my education so landing a good job was extremely difficult and she was already pregnant with the twins. Expenses were too much so she allowed me to continue with the promise that I must land a better job and leave that one and when I finally did, things changed," he explained.
Erika released a heavy sigh afterwards but that didn’t stop her from asking more questions.
"Was John the one that helped you with your current business?" Viper shook his head.
"John died after a few months in a war. I didn’t know what to do anymore so I continued to practice as I was most good at but instead of selling illegal guns, I opened a casino and became a loan shark," he replied.
Erika nodded in understanding. Another silence enveloped and the more time passed in silence, the more uncomfortable she became.
"I’m very sorry for what had happened to you in the past. It must have been very difficult for you to deal with the death of your wife and children," said Erika. She couldn’t believe that Viper had gone through such a thing but looking at him, no one would believe it either. It was like they said, villains were not born, they were made.
Viper nodded at her and she stood up to leave. Before she could close the door behind her, viper said,
"If you need any help with finding Adrain, I will gladly help you."
Erika nodded and closed the door. Reaching the main entrance of the station, Erika found Ethan pacing nonstop with his hands on his waist, restlessly. As soon as he found Erika, he released a heavy sigh of relief before he asked,
"So how did it go? Did he tell you everything?"
"He told me more than enough, I will tell everything when we get back home."
Ethan nodded and helped her get in the car before they left.
Arriving at their own home, Erika explained everything to Ethan who had been curious nonstop since they were in the car. At first, he found it hard to believe also but there was no reason for Viper to lie anymore, he’d already surrendered to the police.
"He’s been through a lot," Erika mumbled under her breath as she patted the babies awake.
Before arriving at their home, they had branches to the Walters mansion and picked the boys up.
"I agree. I wonder what I would have done if I ever lost either you or the boys permanently," Ethan commented before picking up Luca as the boy giggled. "But that’s all in the past now. If he thinks making you emotional is going to make you release him from prison, he’s completely wrong about it," he added and Erika nodded.
"I don’t plan to release him," she replied.
Later that evening, Ethan prepared their dinner while Erika bathed, fed, and put the babies to sleep. After eating their dinner, Ethan asked,
"Are the babies asleep?"
Erika nodded and started to take the dishes to the sink.
Ethan hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear, "I’ve missed you." Erika blushed but tried to hide it. Without any further warning, he picks her up from the ground and carries her upstairs.
"Be careful, you could wake the kids," Erika reminded him in between her giggles.
