Chapter 324: IN LOVE

After the doctor was done bandaging all of Erika’s injuries and having her clothes changed by one of Viper’s female workers who had come along with him in case something like that was needed, Viper warned the doctor.

"Make sure to keep your mouth shut when someone asks you questions about where you have been the whole time." His voice was low but sounded so serious that the doctor could only gulp down his saliva while he nodded in understanding. "Now get out," Viper ordered.

Without wasting a single time, the shaking doctor packed his types of equipment as fast as possible and bowed in respect before sprinting away.

"Boss," Luke called Viper.

"Kill him, I can’t risk him telling anyone anything. Burn his body after you kill him and make sure not to leave any traces behind," Viper ordered, while his full attention was on Erika the whole time, waiting for when her eyes would flutter for a second, signifying when she would wake up. The doctor had already told him that she would wake up in less than twenty-four hours but his nerves still couldn’t relax as he kept on remembering her bloody clothes from just a few minutes ago.

Luke nodded and walked out of the room to go do as he was told while the lady who helped Erika change into her new clothes stayed behind with other men waiting outside as security.

"Is the ride back to Boston ready?" Viper asked the lady and she nodded with her hands folded behind her.

"It is, boss."

"And what about Ethan? Have the police arrived at the scene yet?" He asked the lady and she nodded again.

"The police arrived there twenty minutes ago. The ambulance also came and took him to the hospital but the police officers are still hanging in that area, collecting as many statements as possible," she replied with her head bowed. Without the need to raise it, she heard Viper sigh as he ran his hand through his silky black hair.

"We need to leave now," Viper finally spoke after a few heartbeats. "We are going to Boston."

Without the need to be told, the lady gestured for the other men outside to come inside the house and take Erika to the car while being careful with the babies to not wake them up.

After the place had been cleared of any evidence that someone had stayed there, each of them settled inside the car and the driver drove away.

Two days later

In a dimly lit room, a lady was lying on the bed, bits of sweat glistened on her skin as she clenched the soft blanket for her dear life. With eyes quivering with the struggle to open them, her body only shook more before she sprang up from the bed.

Erika tried to steady her heavy breathing as she touched her chest where her heart was beating a million miles per hour.

After succeeding with that mission, Erika touched her forehead and stared at her palm which was coated with her sweat.

When the makeup mirror that was staring at her suddenly caught her eye, Erika gazed around the room with a look of unfamiliarity.

"What happened?" She mumbled to herself as she clenched the soft blanket even harder. The soft texture of the blanket made her look down on it with furrowed eyebrows and immediately, she sprang up from the bed, searching for the light switch.

"Please don’t tell me that I’ve been kidnapped again," she mumbled under her breath and finally switched the lights on, making the room brighter and easier for her to see things.

Erika took in the bed that she was lying on a while ago and realized that it was a king-sized bed, and the room looked fancy. The makeup mirror was decorated with all kinds of beauty products, a large closet was at the side and Erika didn’t need to open it to know that there were clothes inside.

"Where am I?" She questioned herself.

Finally, her eyes caught what she had been looking for—a door.

Without wasting a single time staring at anything anymore, Erika walked towards the door and pulled it. Surprisingly, it was open.

Erika pulled it wide open and stepped out to find a living room where business news blared from the TV.

Erika sighted the head of a man and anger flared in her bones at the thought that Adrian had managed to kidnap her again.

Grabbing a vase, Erika took slow and sneaky steps towards the man and as soon as she raised her hands high up to hit him, the man turned and Erika’s hands hung up in the air, completely frozen.

"You are awake," viper stated despite the fear he felt when he saw the large vase that was in Erika’s hands as she readied herself to hit him.

Frowning, Erika questioned, looking at the huge space, "Where’s this place? And where’s Adrain?"

"Do you think that Adrain was the one to bring you here?" Viper questioned her back. "I mean, look at this place. If Adrain was the one to have kidnapped you, did you think that he would have left you in that room, completely unguarded, especially since the doors are not locked?" He added, watching her squint her eyes at him but still unwilling to put down the vase.

"Take me back to my family," Erika demanded. "I need to be with my kids."

"Your sons are right here, don’t worry about them," Viper replied, gesturing to the two strollers that were at the side.

When Erika’s eyes caught the strollers, she immediately settled the vase on the floor, ran to check on her babies, and found them sleeping.

"What did you do to them?" She demanded, glaring at him, eyes swelled with tears.

"They are just sound asleep. I’m not that heartless to get rid of your sons, Erika. I won’t ever think of doing that, not while I’m in love with you."
