Chapter 300: GOOD NEWS
"I don’t care about what you will do there, Felicia. But you are not leaving this house and that’s final," Adrian concluded and immediately, an ugly scowl came to settle on Felicia’s face. She wasn’t happy with Adrian’s decision to keep her inside the house.
"What’s wrong with you Adrain," she questioned him, not wanting to let go of the matter anytime soon. "I simply suggested that I go there and test if Ethan will be able to differentiate between me and Erika and you are not even trying to understand what I’m saying." When she noticed that Adrian didn’t plan on speaking with her anymore, she added, "Fine! I won’t go but don’t be surprised if this plan won’t work out. Don’t be surprised when Ethan doesn’t fall for your little tricks," she bites out and stomps out of the living room, heading to her room and banged the door afterward.
"He’s so foolish," she spouts out with an angry tone, his fists clenched tightly as she looks for a place to deliver them. Realizing that she couldn’t afford to hit her fist on the hard wall and break it, she simply threw away a vase that was sitting in one corner of the room and it shattered on the ground. "Why is he so stupid?!" She growled as she glared at the shattered vase. "This is a perfect chance for me to see Ethan and he wants me to lose that chance. No way," she shook her head. "I won’t let that happen."
Downstairs, Adrain could hear the faint sound of the broken furnitures that Felicia was throwing around in her room and he could only sigh as his shoulders slumped.
"No shame," he sighed. He stared at the TV and still saw Ethan smiling and having had enough, Adrain to the remote control and quickly switched it to something else.

In an expensive villa, where all sorts of business people gathered, both foreigners and non-foreigners who wore expensive suits while the women adorned themselves with all kinds of expensive jewelry that shone under the moonlight, a couple with linked arms greeted their guests with a huge smile on their faces.
"I never knew that this many people would come to your birthday party, Ethan," Erika mumbled under her breath as she tried to keep on wearing the bright smile that revealed her pearly white teeth.
"Some of them are my father’s business partners and old-time friends," Ethan replied while nodding at a man who wore an expensive suit, waving at him. "He never told me he was going to invite them though," he added with a creased forehead.
Monica spotted Erika and went to greet her friend and the other girls followed as well.
"Happy birthday Ethan," Monica wished him.
"Happy birthday," the other girls wished him as well.
"Thank you, ladies," he responded with a smile. Leaning towards Erika’s ears, he whispered, "Will you be okay with them? I have to go and greet my father’s old-time friends."
Erika nodded her head, "Go ahead."
Ethan pecked her on the cheek and left her in her friend’s circle.
"So how are you doing Erika? Are you feeling better now?" Jasmine asked Erika with her hands placed on her big belly that had grown much bigger than the last time.
Erika placed her hand on her forehead and nodded slightly. "I’m fine. I just feel dizzy once in a while," she replied.
Jasmine placed her hand on Erika’s forehead and gasped, "Are you sure you are not running a temperature?" She asked her. "You should have stayed home since you knew you weren’t feeling well. This place is going to be slightly loud and it’s only going to add more to your headache," she slightly scolded like the mother that she is going to be.
"I’m fine," Erika said. "I’ve taken my drugs and it will start taking effect soon," she added.
"And hospital? Have you gone to the hospital yet?" Jasmine asked her with squinted eyes.
Erika glanced at Cassandra and Monica before her eyes settled on Jasmine. "Hospital for what?" She asked Jasmine with confusion.
"For a pregnancy test of course. You’ve not been feeling well for the past two weeks already. You seriously need to get yourself checked," Jasmine replied.
Erika immediately shook her head, objecting to the idea. "I’m sure it’s just the flu or something. I’ve taken my medicines so I’m going to get better soon."
Monica was about to intervene and push her friend into getting the test but was interrupted when a guest went towards them and greeted them. Erika suddenly felt tired of standing so she walked to a seat and rested her butt on it.
"I’m not pregnant," she told herself. Subconsciously, she placed her hands on her flat belly. "Am I pregnant?" She asked herself with a creased eyebrow. "What if I’m pregnant?" A smile replaced her confused expression earlier at the thought of being pregnant.
Her eyes searched for Ethan and she found him talking to his father with other oldies too.
"Are you feeling dizzy again?" Erika heard Monica’s voice question her. "I think Jasmine is right. You need to get a pregnancy test done. What if you are already carrying my future niece or nephew in there and you don’t know?" She asked her with a pout which didn’t completely cover her worried expression.
"I will get one taken tomorrow," Erika replied. She looked at Monica and found the latter staring at her so intensely. "What?" She asked her.
"Not tomorrow. You are taking one now," Monica decided.
"Wait, how?" Erika asked her, looking around to see if Michael was around but he hadn’t arrived yet to check her if that was what Monica meant.
"I have a pregnancy test kit in my purse, so let’s go to the bathroom and have it checked," said Monica.
Monica reached to grab Erika by her hand before she could resist and they went to the bathroom.
"Why do you have a pregnancy test kit in your purse?" Erika asked after Monica finally gave her the go signal to speak.
"W-well, I’m pregnant," she stuttered.
