Chapter 299: FOOLISH THOUGHTS
Viper scoffed at Adrian’s words. He was also eager to complete the task and get rid of Adrain since the man had been bothering him a lot these days.
"It won’t be that easy," he answered truthfully. He watched Adrian frown in confusion as he waited for him to continue. "Getting Erika away from Ethan won’t be that easy. We can’t attempt to kidnap her again so we have to come up with a new plan."
"I have a plan," Adrain said immediately afterward as if he had been waiting for Viper to mention the word. "Felicia’s face is completely healed now so we can exchange the both of them and have her stay with her family while Erika comes to stay here. By the time they realize that it was Felicia who had been staying with them, me and Erika had already gotten married and will probably be expecting our first child," he added with a cheerful tone.
Viper stared at Adrian and didn’t know what to call him anymore. His level of imagination has reached a whole new level and Viper was starting to consider taking Adrain to the mental asylum to have his brain examined.
Even though he also wanted to snatch Erika from Ethan, he wasn’t thinking of marrying her or having any babies with her but Adrain was doing exactly the opposite, trying to bring his insane thoughts to reality.
"What do you think?" He heard Adrain’s voice ask him as if he was asking for his permission.
"I don’t care about what you do with Erika after you get her back. But make sure that you don’t do anything foolish and put my reputation in any further danger," he warned him and the latter nodded in understanding. "Ethan’s birthday is coming soon," he added and Adrain’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"It’s that jerk’s birthday!" He repeated through gritted teeth. "Let’s kill him on that day," he suggested. Viper resisted the urge to facepalm himself when he heard Adrian.
’Is he foolish?’ Viper wondered, wanting to personally open Adrain’s skull and search for any pink-colored meat in there but doubted he would find anything but spiders and dead cockroaches there.
"We are not going to kill anyone there, including Ethan because that place is going to be filled with bodyguards, and don’t think you can easily bet inside just like you did the day that you kidnapped Erika during her brother’s wedding. They will not let the same mistake happen twice," he tried to make Adrian understand but doubted he would. Besides, the only thing the latter wanted was to just barge into anywhere and have Erika on his shoulder as he escapes.
"But what are we doing to do at the birthday party then?" Adrain asked after some moments passed.
"We don’t do anything," Viper replied, leaning over to grab the whiskey bottle and drink from it again. Having this conversation with Adrian suddenly gave him a parched throat and he took the whiskey like it was some water. Sending Adrain’s confused stare, he added, "It’s because they will expect you to attack or possibly get gatecrashed at the party so you just watch what’s going on at the party from the TV and admire Erika."
Adrain’s hands clenched tightly as he imagined how Erika would hold hands with Ethan as they celebrated his birthday and that image didn’t sit well with him one bit. He wanted to rip his head away but not before he claimed Erika as his own.
"So all I have to do now is to just watch them from the TV while they have their fun?" He asked Viper and he nodded.
"Unless you plan to get caught the moment you step foot in their house," he answered. Taking off his leather jacket, he grabbed his bottle of whistle and walked to leave Adrain to think for himself.
A few moments later, a lady walked inside the living room sat beside Adrain, and spoke,
"Do you want me to go to that birthday party for you?"
Adrain glanced at Felicia and couldn’t help but turn her speech at how similar she looked to Erika. The only thing that she needed to do to look like her twin was to get blue contact lenses and dye her hair blonde.
"You are not going anywhere," Adrain replied.
"Come on, this is the perfect opportunity to test if any of her family members will be able to tell us apart if we are in the same gathering. I know Erika is slightly taller than me but it’s just two inches. Look at me, I’ve also lost weight so that we can weigh the same KG," she continued to blab on and on and on.
Although her suggestion was tempting, Adrian didn’t want to risk anything at the moment. This was indeed a perfect chance to see if Ethan would be able to mistake Felicia to be Erika but three months had already passed, which only means that their bond had gotten deeper and they could sense each other’s presence even with their eyes closed. If Felicia fails, she will get arrested and then they will use her to get to him, from there, he will ask for help from Viper again and the latter might not help him since he’d warned him several times to not do anything stupid.
Concluding, Adrain shook his head and objected to the idea.
"You are not going anywhere."
He saw her shoulders drop in disappointment but he couldn’t bother himself to comfort her.
"And why not?" She questioned him. "Is it because you think that I might go there and never come back?"
Adrain stared at her, not knowing how to answer that question. He was afraid that she would go there and never come back again but it was not the same way she was thinking about it. She probably thought that he would get jealous and eventually succeed in making Ethan believe that she was Erika and then live with him. If only she knew that Adrain didn’t care one bit about that plan of hers. The only person he wanted was Erika and whatever Felicia did after she successfully made Ethan take her to be his wife or girlfriend, he didn’t care about it.
