Chapter 249: MY FOOT

Adrian knew that he’d already piqued Erika’s interest when she turned to look at him with eyes filled with worry. "He fainted pretty badly. Who knows, he might already be in a coma again," he continued, loving her expression.

On the other hand, Erika didn’t know if she was to believe Adrian at all. Viper only told her that Ethan visited the station but didn’t mention anything about him fainting. Now who was she to believe? Viper or Adrain?

Noticing that Erika wasn’t planning on replying to him, he added. "Remember when I said that we will go visit Adrian before we get married? Don’t you want to do that? Don’t you want to see him one last time? I want to fulfill your last wish before we get married so tell me."

Erika glared at him. ’He feels so confident that he could easily marry me and I won’t put up a fight, what a moron,’ Erika thought to herself.

"I have one wish, Adrain," She finally spoke to him.

"What’s it?" He asked her, eyes filled with anticipation to hear what she was going to request from him.

"Take me back to Adrian," she ordered.

Adrain’s smile immediately faltered the moment he heard her request. It was the last thing that he would give to her so he simply laughed it off.

"You know that I won’t give you such a request Erika," he told her as he tried to control his laughter. "I only said that we could go to see him but from a safe distance, of course, there’s no way I will let you see him."

"I know, I was only trying my luck," said Erika. She knew well that even if Adrian was drunk, he would never let her go to be with Ethan.

"It’s a good thing you know that would never be possible. I love you too much to let you go back to that man."

Not wanting to hear him speak anymore, Erika started pushing her wheelchair by herself to get as far away from him as possible.

"I will get you a dress for our wedding. It will be taking place in the next two days?" He announced, and immediately, Erika halted. She turned to look at him in shock and asked,

"Why two days?" That was little to no time for her to think of a way to get away from there.

"Because I can’t wait to have you legally and let’s not forget our relationship wedding night. It’s going to be a magical one for the both of us,"

he explained.

Feeling goosebumps rise on her skin out of disgust, Erika simply ignored him and continued to move away.

Getting to her room, Erika made sure to bang the door tight and stay in the middle of the room. Placing her hands on the handle of the wheelchair, she tried to push herself up to stand until she succeeded and stood on her two feet.

Taking three steps in front of her, Erika tried to run afterwards but she fell flat on her face.

"I still can’t run properly," she grumbled to herself out of annoyance. This was something that she’d never let anyone know yet, the fact that she could walk now. If Iza, the maid found out about it then she would inform one of the bodyguards, and then their security around her would only tighten some more because if she could walk, she could also run.

"How am I going to go through this? Adrian wants the wedding to take place in two days and I wonder if my brothers are almost close to catching him," she mumbled this time while tears threatened to fall from her eyes since they had already brimmed in the corners of her eyes. "No, I can’t cry now. I can still do this," she added. Remembering Viper’s offers earlier, she wondered if she was going accept that and go with him but there was no guarantee that he was going to take her back to Ethan.

’He might also want to get married to me after I decide to go with me. They are all crazy,’ she thought to herself. "No! I can’t go with Viper, that man is weird and the woman who looks exactly like me that’s on his face is even weirder," she added.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door that she’d already locked. The knock came out soft just like how Iza would always knock if she wanted to come inside.

"Mam, you skipped your lunch so I brought some juice for you," she heard Iza’s voice from the other side of the room.

Quickly, she found her wheelchair and quickly sat on it. She placed the blanket from earlier on her lap and pretended to still not be able to walk. Erika opened the door for Iza and the maid walked in with the glass of juice that was placed in a tray.

Erika took the juice that was filled inside the glass and stared at Iza while she stared at the maid, intimidating the latter. ’I wonder if she will be able to help me escape from here, but she’s too loyal to Adrain, her boss,’ Erika thought to herself.

When she was done drinking her juice, she placed the glass back on the tray and when the maid was about to leave the room, she stopped her,

"Iza, do you know about the wedding that is going to occur here in the next two days?" She asked her.

The maid nodded her head in response. "Sir Adrain told me about it while I was getting the juice for you and he told me to make you look pretty on that day," she replied.

Erika nearly choked on her saliva but refrained from doing it. ’Make me look pretty my foot.’

Staring at Iza, she said, "Iza, I don’t want to get married to Adrian and I need your help with what I plan to do on that day."
