Chapter 211: SCAMMED
"You can go," Erika said to the maid.
"Well, aren’t you going to drink it and taste it?" Felicia tried to persuade Erika some more but Erika didn’t bother to listen to her.
"I think it’s better if you drink your juice and quit bothering me," Erika retorted with a sigh.
Felicia secretly clenched her fist but still smiled at Erika. After coming up with an idea, she decided to provoke Erika instead. If I provoke Erika, then she might drink the cold juice so as to calm her nerves, Felicia thought to herself.
"Erika, guess what? I’m going to get plastic surgery," she announced.
"Congratulations! Maybe now your son will be able to look at your ugly face and smile for the first time," Erika insulted with a smile.
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Felicia demanded from Erika.
"You know exactly what that’s supposed to mean," Erika replied.
Felicia felt offended but she released a sigh and didn’t retort as Erika had expected her to. Besides, she was going to get rid of Erika very soon so she should endure the insults for some more time.
"Do you want to know whose face I want to have?" Felicia asked Erika and when the latter raised a brow at her, she added, "I want to have your face."
Erika slightly chuckled before asking Felicia, amused, "I’ve always known that you were a big fan even though you despise me. But wouldn’t it be weird for you to be carrying the face of your mortal enemy around for the rest of your life?"
"You didn’t let me finish," Felicia interrupted. "I want to have your face so that when I go to visit Ethan in the hospital, he wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the both of us," she beamed.
Erika stared at Felicia with a raised eyebrow before she asked, "What do you mean?"
"You still don’t believe me when I say that Ethan had memory loss so he can’t remember you," she lied. She wasn’t sure if Erika would believe her but she would try her luck.
"If that’s the case, do you think you will be able to copy my face and everyone will believe you? Even if Ethan does end up having memory loss and ends up mistaking you for me, how about my family and friends? Do you think you would be able to fool them?" Erika questioned Felicia. She didn’t want to believe what Felicia and Adrian were saying about Ethan waking up with an amnesia but her heart couldn’t help but skip a beat at the possibility that Ethan might not remember her anymore.
"I’m sure there’s no one who a proper plastic surgery wouldn’t be able to fool. I will steal Ethan just like the way you stole Adrian from me and who knows, before he can regain his memory, we might have already married and have plenty of kids alre...ahh."
SPLASH!!
Before Felicia could finish her dream fantasy, she saw Erika grab her glass of juice and pour it on her face. Instantly, everyone stood while Felicia yelled,
"Ahh my face!! It’s burning!" She exclaimed.
Erika frowned. Burning? How can her face burn when it was just juice? Erika wondered.
Iza, who had been outside, quickly brought out a rag to help Felicia wipe her face clean.
Both Mary and Juliet stood aside and let her do her work.
"My face is burning with acid!" Felicia continued to rant as fear gripped her. She had added all the acid from the glass container that Mr lee had given her the day that she’d gone to see him so that Erika would die on the spot if she took only one sip of the drink. But now that the drink that contained the acid was poured on her face, it was going to completely melt her skin and bones away.
"Madam, relax, your face isn’t burning! You only have the juice on you, not acid," said Iza as she tried to wipe Felicia’s face but the latter wouldn’t cooperate as she continued to move about.
In urgency, Felicia ran out of the library as she ranted on the way. Her face was already scarred but now that an acid had been poured on her face, she could die. That thought made her shiver as she didn’t want to think about death at the moment.
Inside the library, Erika stared blankly at the mother-daughter duo and waited for one of them to speak. But instead, the both of them vanished as they followed behind Felicia.
"Felicia planned to poison me with acid," Erika concluded. She had expected something to have been added to the drink since Felicia would always try to force her to drink it but she never thought that Felicia would be so heartless as to add acid inside the drink.

In the bathroom, Felicia splashed water all over as she tried to get the acid off her face. The banging from outside of the bathroom could be heard as Mary and Juliet tried to open it but unfortunately, Felicia had locked it so that her ugly face wouldn’t be seen.
She stared at her reflection which stared back at her. "My face," she cried.
After splashing more water on her face, she grabbed a nearby towel and wiped it clean. She stared at herself again in the mirror and waited for her face to start melting as she had expected.
After waiting for a few minutes and not seeing any signs of melting or smoke coming out of her face, she released a sigh of relief. The only evident scar on her face was the one that she had acquired a year ago from those angry wives and nothing new. After cross-checking some more, her shoulders dropped.
"Nothing is wrong with my face," she mumbled with a smile before it dawned on her. "Acid was poured on my face but why didn’t it burn as I expected it to?" She asked herself. She had poured the acid inside Erika’s drink when the maid had left to go get the try with the hope that the latter would drink it and die but instead, it was poured on her face but it didn’t burn. Did Mr lee scam her? She wondered.
