Chapter 113: BLAME ERIKA
Adrain shed more tears like a woman who had been heartbroken. He wanted to see his ex-wife apologize for all his wrongdoings and get her back from Ethan Anderson. Adrain’s eyes flared in anger at that name. The person who bought his company.
Getting up from the couch, he strode to his bedroom to take a shower and then afterward, he would put on a new set of shirt and trousers. He wanted to look presentable.
When he was done, he left the house, called for a cab, and told the cab driver the address of the Walters Corporation.
Upon getting there, he paid the cab driver and he left.
Adrain stood in front of the building, amazed at how big it was. Even though this was not his first time coming to the company, it felt much bigger to him now that he had no company of his own to compare it with.
He entered the building and went to the receptionist.
"Who are you here to see, mister?" The receptionist politely asked him.
"Erika Walters", he replied.
"What is your name?" She questioned him.
"Adrain Hart".
"Do you have an appointment?" She asked but he shook his head. "Okay, I will make a call to her secretary first and let you know".
Adrain nodded with a sigh. The receptionist made the call and kept the telephone aside after she was done.
"Am sorry sir but Ms. Erika has already retired for the day", she replied apologetically.
Adrain frowned first before lifting his wrist to check the time on his phone only to find out that it was past 6 pm. Shoot, she must have gone home already, he thought to himself.
He nodded at the receptionist and left. Suddenly he turned back and went to the receptionist to request something.
"Hi, umm, can you tell me the home address of your boss?" He asked the receptionist who stared at him while she was putting something down on a piece of paper.
"Am sorry sir but I am not allowed to disclose the address of my employer", she replied politely.
Not wanting to give up, Adrain added,
"Please, Erika and I fought and it was all my fault you see that is why I am here to apologize to her. Please help me", he pleaded to the receptionist.
Sighing, the woman glanced at her left and right before signaling Adrain to come closer.
Adrain’s eyes lit up in hope.
Whispering to him, the receptionist said while shaking her head,
"I don’t know where she lives".
Adrain glared at the woman for fooling around with him.
"What?" The receptionist questioned. "I told you I don’t know where she lives so I can’t help you in any way. Also, do you think that I will believe that you are boss Erika’s friend?" The last chuckled lightly. "She can’t possibly be friends with a common man like you".
Adrain clenched his teeth tightly, his hands balled into a fist as he glared at the lady for insulting him but he didn’t attempt any retaliation because her words were true anyway. He glared at the receptionist one last time before exiting the building.
The receptionist hmph at him before getting back to her work.
Standing at the same post when he was about to go inside the building earlier, Adrian stared at the gloomy night sky above him. The sun had already set and the evening breeze felt cold to the skin.
Adrain was only wearing a single shirt so he instantly got cold. He was about to hail a taxi when the realization hit him. He didn’t have any money with him, he had used the last change on him to pay for coming.
Sighing helplessly, he decided to walk. Not like he had a choice anyway. He turned around to glance at the building one more time before leaving.

"That Adrain thinks that I will come begging him? Hmph, he wishes", Felicia spat out angrily as soon as she arrived at her family’s house.
The Evans no longer lived at their mansion since they had gone bankrupt way before the Harts. Their house was just a floor with 2 bedrooms. Tobias, Felicia’s brother no longer lived with his parents as he was already married, working hard to provide for his parents and himself.
Mr and Mrs Evans recognized the voice so they turned around to see their daughter.
"Felicia, my dear. Long time no see", Mrs Evans sprang up to go hug her daughter. Since the time that Adrian went bankrupt, Felicia hasn’t dared to show her face to her parents anymore, especially her father who seems to always be angry whenever he lays his eyes on her. He still held her responsible for the scandal that occurred years ago.
"Mother please I’m not in the mood right now", Felicia rejected her mother’s hug and fell on the couch, tired.
Mrs Evans was surprised. She noticed Felicia mumble something now and then with an annoyed expression. She quickly went to her side and asked,
"Why are you frowning so much? Also, where is Adrain? Why didn’t he come with you?"
Becoming even more annoyed with her mother’s continuous questioning, Felicia tried to calm down first before answering,
"He kicked me out of the house, Mum".
"What?!" The woman gasped dramatically with her hands over her mouth. Mr Evans’s ears also perked in curiosity. "Why did he do that? Did you offend him?"
Felicia hesitated, not sure of how to reply to that question. She couldn’t tell her mother that she had been sleeping outside of her marriage. She faced her dad who was staring at her with curiosity in his eyes.
If she told them the real reason, then her father would personally kick her out of the house and she would have nowhere to go.
Contemplating for a few more seconds, Felicia replied with a sad tone,
"He kicked me out because he wants to marry Erika, mum. He wants to get back together with that slut".
Mrs. Evans gasped again in surprise while Mr. Evans furrowed his eyebrows to form a frown on his face.
"What? Why?" Mrs Evans questioned as she patted Felicia who was already crying, on the back gently to console her.
