Chapter 110: IN
Erika left the station while Mary rained curses on her which didn’t bother her at all.
Reaching the exit of the station, Erika was about to enter her car but someone called her name.
"Erika".
Facing the caller, Erika looked away and reached for the car door but Adrain stopped her.
"Erika, can we have a moment to talk please?" He pleaded.
"I don’t think there is anything for us to talk about, Mr Hart. You family is quite miserable now and I heard that your company has gone bankrupt too. I think you should spend your time thinking of a way to fix everything that is going on around you instead of standing here, asking for a moment to talk to me", Erika snapped and got into her car and left without spending any more seconds with him. It was time for dinner and Ethan was cooking.
Staring at the car that had zoomed away, Adrain felt a pang of loneliness in his heart. He wanted someone to talk sweetly to him just like Erika used to do when they were still married.
He would need to talk to her about the marriage some other time, Adrain thought to himself. Now he needed to try to save the company. His secretary had already quit before he went to the station when he received a call that Mary made a confession.
Feeling sad, Adrain decided to go to the company and work some things out.
Unfortunately for him, when he got to the company, the gates had been locked with a banner beside it saying that it had been bought by another company, the Anderson Corporations.
Walking to the gate, he knocked on it but there was no response. All the windows had been locked, doors locked with not a single soul in the building.
In a day, just a day, he had lost everything. His step mother who killed his mother and grandmother was in jail, his father was in a coma. He had lost the company he had been working so hard to keep going all in one day. Were the heavens punishing him? he asked himself in frustration.

At the hospital, Felicia entered Mr Lee’s office to collect her report.
"Mr. Lee", she greeted and nodded in response. "These are the reports", he handed her a file to look at.
Grabbing the file, Felicia hesitated to open it. This was a report that could prove if she was pregnant or not.
Mr Lee stared at her and the report and asked, "are you not going to open it?"
Felicia slowly opened the report and read the line that stated she was pregnant. Not sure about what to feel at the moment, she quickly closed the reports and dropped them on Mr Lee’s desk as if it was some contagious disease.
Mr. Lee studied her face before asking, "Are you not happy that you are pregnant now? That way, your husband and his in-laws won’t throw you out of the house".
Felicia also has the same thoughts but then who would throw her out? Her father in law was in a coma and her mother in law was in jail. Adrian can’t throw her out since she was carrying his child.
Some months ago, she had been taking the drugs just as Mr Lee had prescribed because she felt she had to stand her ground as the daughter in law but now that the family had collapsed, was it worth the trouble? She asked herself.
"I want to abort the baby", she declared, catching Mr Lee off guard.
"What?!"
Felicia took a deep breath before repeating, "I said I want to abort it. I don’t want to keep the child".
"But you have been meaning to have the baby, why would you want to get rid of it now?" Mr Lee questioned her. Only he knew what it took for him to find those herbs and now that she had finally gotten a positive result, she wanted to get rid of it just like the other ones.
"But if I say I don’t want it, won’t you help me in getting rid of this one too?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Sighing, Mr Lee shook his head, "I’m sorry but I can’t get rid of this one for you", he objected.
"And why not?"
"Because if I do it, it could totally destroy your womb and you would become barren forever", Said Mr Lee.
Shocked, Felicia took back the report and kept it in her bag. ’In that case, I guess I will be blaming one of my wealthy sugar daddies for impregnating me. There is no way I am going to let Adrian know about this baby’, Felicia thought to herself.
Noticing Mr Lee staring at her with questionable eyes, she nodded her head obediently, "I want to keep the baby", she declared and Mr Lee simply nodded. "I need money", she suddenly demanded, making Mr Lee smirk at her.
"You know the drill", he said with a grin.

Erika was at work as always but this was her last day since she had already hired someone to replace her as the current CEO of their branch.
After arriving at the underground parking lot, she entered her car and was about to zoom off but she nearly hit a man.
Feeling worried, she rushed out of her car to help the man but then all of sudden, the man pointed a gun at her. "Don’t move", the man ordered.
With her mouth opened wide in surprise, Erika tried to speak up.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" She questioned the man. The man didn’t reply to her question but only stared at her lustfully from head to toe.
Erika felt disgusted by the stare.
Hearing another man’s footsteps from behind her, she realized that it was just not one person.
Swiftly snatching the gun from the man who was in front of her, she pointed the gun at him as he eyes widened in surprise.
"How did she do that?" He mumbled to himself. His other colleague who was holding a handkerchief was also surprised at the sudden change of events. Is she a cop?
Instinctively, the both of them raised their hands up to surrender.
"Please mam, don’t kill us. We were only doing our job", the one with the handkerchief begged.
Erika only glared at them as her hands tightened on the gun. Because she was still at the company’s gates, the security team must have seen the scene on the CCTV and rushed out.
"Mam, are you okay?" A security man asked Erika. Even though she was the one with the gun, they could tell that those two men were not good people.
