Chapter 104: ASKING QUESTIONS
"Have you sent the message?" Ethan asked Erika.
Erika nodded. "I think she should be on her way by now. She must be eager to put me in my place by now."
"I have my body guards stationed at the meeting place Incase she tries anything. I will be in the van also", Ethan informed her.
Erika hugged him, "You know I can protect myself right?"
Ethan hummed, "Yes but I will feel better if am there with you".
Ethan kissed her on the forehead as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Cough.... am sorry to interrupt your moment but lunch is ready", Butler David announced. He had been living in their house since the day he came because Erika was worried that something would happen to him once Mary finds out that he had been helping her.
Erika immediately separated herself from Ethan because of the sudden voice.
"Thank you Uncle David", she appreciated. The old man nodded and left them alone.
"Let’s go have lunch", she said to Ethan. The both of them went to the dining table hand in hand. For some reason, Ethan likes holding her hand whenever they were walking. She liked the feeling of his big hand wrapped around her slender ones.
The three of them sat down and starting eating lunch together. Things were still awkward for butler David but he was starting to adjust to them little by little.
Mary arrived at the meeting place that Erika had sent her. She was surprised to see the big warehouse that was in front of her.
"Why would that bitch want us to meet here?" Mary muttered to herself. She opened the door to the warehouse and the first thing to greeted her was darkness.
Reaching into her bag to take her phone, she heard some footsteps coming from behind her.
Thinking it was Erika, she called out. "Erika, you bitch why would you choose such a place to apologize, huh? It’s so dark and I can’t even see anything here. And why are you just arriving now, should you be here before me..."
Mary kept on talking nonstop until she was out of breath. Realizing that the person was not replying to her, she froze in fear. The footsteps walked towards her and she started walking backwards.
"Who are you?" She cried out but no response from the person. Wasting no more time on just walking, Mary started running. She didn’t know where she was running to or what she was running into because the whole place was still so dark.
Mary kept on running until she saw light. It was actually the afternoon sun. Mary started running towards the side where the sun light was entering from. She didn’t notice that the footstep that was running behind her had stopped long ago.
Just as Mary got closer to the light, a heavy metal was suddenly hit on her head out of nowhere and she collapsed that instant.
"Wake up!" A person yelled so loudly that it could wake up an entire nation.
Mary slowly opened her eyes to see unfamiliar people staring at her with cold gazes. Her eyes darted around the place only to find out that she was still in the warehouse but now it was no longer dark.
Facing the people in front of her, she stared at every one of them until her eyes landed on a familiar figure.
"You..." She barked, ready to attack but the restraints on her hands and legs forbade her. "What is the meaning of this?" She questioned with anger and confusion.
Erika slowly walked towards Mary who looked like she would bite her as soon as found a chance to be free.
"Hold your horses Mary. I will be the one asking the questions here", Erika glared at Mary who instantly shrank back on the chair she had been tied on.
"What do you want, you bitch? Did you kidnap me so that you can ask for a ransom from Adrain? How pathetic of you...."

Without getting a chance to finish her words, a slap had already landed on her cheek which left her with a bruised lip. Even the bodyguards flinched because of the force the slap carried.
"I said I will be the one asking the questions here", Erika repeated feeling no remorse for slapping a woman that was old enough to be her mother.
It took a while before Mary could register what had just happened. Staring an Erika in shock, she yelled out in anger,
"You bitch! How dare you slap me? Do you have no respect for your elders? I swear, am going to teach you a lesson when I get out of here", Mary threatened as her face was already red from anger.
Erika scoffed, "Believe me when I say that you won’t be going back to your home after am done with you".
Mary panicked due to the way Erika spoke. She spoke like a maniac.
Walking closer to Mary, she whispered in her ears.
"Do you want to know why you are here?"
"It’s obvious that you want money". Turning towards the bodyguards who stood with dangerous aura surrounding them. "Do you people want money? If it’s money you want then I can give it to you all. I can even pay thrice the little penny she is paying you all. Just untie me and I will give you all the money you want...."

"You talk too much, all I want to hear from your mouth are answers, do you hear me?"
The two sides of Mary’s face now has a palm print on them with a bruised lip. Before Mary could start screaming like a mad woman again, Erika opened a box and brought out a syringe.
"Do you remember this, my sweet dear ex mother in law?" Erika asked her while caressing the syringe. "Do you want to know the content that is inside?"
Mary’s eye darted from the syringe and towards Erika who was now walking towards her. "What is that?" She questioned Erika.
