The training began and Orion demonstrated on how to mount a broomstick, and now he was hovering above the ground. "It’s all about balance. All you have to do is infuse your mana into the broom and direct the broom on how you want to move," Orion instructed, then he increased the amount of mana flowing into the broom, allowing him to hover higher above the ground.
The girls also noticed how Orion slowly returned back to the ground when he reduced the amount of mana flowing into the broom.
Based on their observations, they could see that an increase in mana into the broomstick, allowed Orion to levitate higher but the amount of mana flowing into the broom also determined the speed at which he moved as well.
He demonstrated a few more things but Mia couldn’t wait to get started as well.
Mia hopped onto her broomstick effortlessly, then she followed Orion’s instructions and she hovered a few feet off the ground with a grin. "I knew it would be easy. Come on, Dahlia!"
Dahlia hesitated but she climbed onto her broomstick, and for a moment, Dahlia felt her feet slipping away from the ground as the broomstick lifted her into the air.
Her heart raced and she let out a gasp but Mia cheered her on. "You’re doing it, Dahlia,"
Dahlia’s grip remained tight, but a small smile appeared on her lips as she steadied herself. "It’s not as scary as I thought it would be,"
"I told you, you’d love feeling the wind on your skin," Orion hovered beside her and complimented her. "You’re doing great. Just take it one step at a time,"
Dahlia nodded and followed his instructions.
The training continued and once Dahlia was comfortable in the air, Orion led the girls through some basic maneuvers. "Alright, let’s start with some basic turns,".
Orion cast an earth magic spell and large rock pillars emerged out of the ground to form obstacles needed to teach the girls how to turn and twirl while sitting on their broomsticks.
"Mia, you’ll take the lead and I’m sure you know what to do," Orion instructed and Mia turned towards the pillars in front of them.
Just by looking at it, it was clear for her to see that Orion wanted them to learn how to twirl and turn around those pillars. "Yes, I do,"
"Good, are you ready?" He asked Mia.
"I am,"
"What about you, Dahlia?"
"I am," Dahlia replied and Mia darted forward.
Her silver hair streamed behind her as she moved effortlessly between the huge pillars but since the game would be an intense match between them and a couple of other students who were more experienced than them, Mia knew, she and Dahlia had to be used to flying before the tournament begins.
However, to do this, Mia could only think of a naughty thing to help motivate Dahlia and herself.
"Hehehehe....." Mia giggled to herself with a few other naughty ideas spiraling around her mind.
Meanwhile, Dahlia noticed the creepy giggling Mia was making, so she asked. "Your Highness, what’s so funny?"
But Mia didn’t reply to her question, instead, she asked Dahlia a question of her own. "Hey, Dahlia. Wanna do something naughty alone with babe tonight?"
"H-Huh?"
"Think about it, the first person to reach the last obstacle gets to be with him throughout the night, so what do you think?"
"You’re scheming again, aren’t you?" Orion placed a hand on Mia’s shoulders and she shrieked in surprise.
"Hmm, so you two want to have a race huh?" Orion pondered about the idea of the two ladies improving themselves by having fun. "Very well, I’ll allow it, but only if your movements are accurate,"
"Huh? Really, you mean, you’ll ---,"
"Yes, Dahlia. If you win, then I’ll do anything you want for the rest of the night. So, what do you think?"
Dahlia pondered about it and nodded in response.
"Good, now let’s begin," Mia darted forward, leaving Dahlia behind with a puzzled look on her face.
"Huh? Now?"
"Yes!!!" Mia replied over her shoulder while laughing as she took the lead.
Dahlia followed hesitantly because she wasn’t used to moving with the broomstick yet. She could move but not as freely as Mia who had quickly learnt how to move and twirl with a broomstick.
Dahlia moved a bit faster now and was a lot more precise in her movement as she trailed behind Mia but Orion offered a quiet word of encouragement to Dahlia as she navigated the course.
’You’re doing great, Dahlia. Keep going,’ He uttered telepathically to Dahlia and Dahlia’s grip on her broom tightened even more.
Her confidence grew with each turn as well and before she knew it, Dahlia was now keeping pace with Mia and her purple eyes were shining with determination.
To make this a bit more interesting, Orion decided to erect more obstacles in front of them.

"What?" Mia was taken aback by the countless pillars in front of them.
Meanwhile, Orion noticed the look on her face and a smile appeared on his lips. "Take this," He tossed a small round object towards Mia.
"Now, we’ll be trying a passing drill as you aim for the finish line. All you have to do is pass the ball, back and forth while flying with your main target in mind."
Mia looked at the small, spherical object she had caught before turning towards Dahlia and the two nodded in response.
Orion gave the signal and the passing drill began smoothly with Mia tossing the ball to Dahlia at a gentle pace. "Here you go," Mia had tossed the ball and instantly took the lead once again.
Dahlia caught the ball awkwardly but she managed to hold on to it. "I’ve got it,"
"Good. Now, pass it back," Orion instructed and Mia slowed down to catch the incoming ball.
Dahlia took a deep breath and focused on her aim before tossing the ball back to Mia. The ball wobbled slightly in the air as it tried to reach Mia but Dahlia didn’t wait for Mia to catch the ball before she moved.
She darted forward the moment she threw the ball to Mia, then she turned around to catch the ball once again.
And this was how the passing drills continued for the next couple of minutes.
A few minutes later, Adrian, Aslan and Arthur stepped into the training ground and they noticed Orion and the girls taking a break, after their intense training session.
"Oh, it seems we’re the ones who are late to arrive for training," Aslan was the first to speak out as he got closer to Orion while the girls were a few steps behind him.
"I was wondering why you hadn’t replied to my text," Arthur uttered while walking closer to Orion with Adrian trailing behind him.
"You texted me?" Orion swiftly took a look at his smart bracelet, then he noticed Arthur’s text.
Arthur wanted to know where Orion was, so that they could all train together in preparation for the air ball tournament.
"Yeah, but we never knew you were here, improving your skills," Aslan replied with his arms crossed on his chest.
"Actually, I haven’t practiced since I arrived,"
"You haven’t?" Adrian asked.
"No, I haven’t,"
"Oh, I see." Aslan noticed the beads of sweat on Dahlia and Mia’s forehead. "So, you want them to participate in the tournament?"
"Yes,"
"It’s good. I’ve been wondering how we’ll challenge the other teams when we’re lacking two players in our squad,"
"So, how did the training go?" Adrian asked.

"It went well because they’re both quick learners and it makes it a lot easier for me to train them," Orion replied as he turned to his back to see Mia and Dahlia currently seated on the bench they were resting on.
The girls were a bit far from them right now because Orion had walked to the boys to talk to them while he allowed Mia and Dahlia to sit on a bench and recuperate their strengths.
"So, what do you think?" Arthur asked.
"About what?"
"About the two of them," Aslan spoke first before Arthur could speak up. "Do you think they’ll be ready to participate in the tournament?"
"Yes, we will," Mia suddenly appeared behind Orion with Dahlia standing behind her.
She replied with a stern look, staring straight at Aslan’s eyes.
"Is that so?" He asked.
"Yes,"
Aslan’s arms were still crossed on his chest but he couldn’t help but chuckle lightly as he stared back at Mia.
It wasn’t every day he sees a girl, not bowing at him whenever he was being spoken to.
"Very well, then I guess we would have to evaluate your strength then,"
Mia grinned and placed her hands on her hips. "I thought you would never ask," Mia replied confidently but she suddenly felt a light hand chop on her head and her eyes instantly turned into a cute puppy dog eyes, the moment she noticed Orion was the one who landed a chop on her head.
"What do you think you’re doing?" Orion asked with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
