Chapter 178: Fist Through the Chest, Against the Elves Part 2
The explosion nearly killed half of the elves residing inside the forest. As soon as the disciples saw their commander turning calm, they immediately rushed inside.
They weren’t going to let him hog all the fun. They wanted the battle as well. Qing Yang was the first one to rush. Of course, he wasn’t being hot-headed this time.
He didn’t try to compete with his commander but rather focused on taking down some of the strongest ones. Mu Lan, Su Xing, Juan, and Tuan Sing were also following the same routine.
Since they were the strongest ones in the group, it was their responsibility to take down as many strong enemies as they could.
Brian didn’t make a move instead he was curious about the elf race. He hasn’t seen them except for records or games. So, he was really curious about them.
After the forest was incinerated, they finally saw the elves as they couldn’t hide anymore. The forest was covering their aura and being able to merge with the forest allowed them to hide properly.
Brian looked at one of the elves. It was male. He had a long body with fairly white skin. He also had pointy ears and tall height. He was lean as well, nothing much different than the elves he knew about.
He was surprised to find some strange greenness in their hands though. Later, he found that the green was there due to the power they had. They were able to control the forest through the power related to the green hands. But once the forest was incinerated, their hands also started changing.
’Maybe it’s not just their hands. They were able to cover their presence fairly well due to the forest. But, they also hid their bodies which means they either used something to turn themselves invisible or they were hiding on the tree all along.’
’If they can turn their entire body green, it shouldn’t be a problem for them to hide.’
Brian thought for a moment as he analyzed the elves. They were fighting against his group and their numbers despite half of them dying in that explosion were higher than his group.
"Guo, cover up for the weaker ones. Mu Lan, Juan, give some support to Guo. Everyone else, focus on the enemy. Use formation Azure Dragon!"
Qing Yang shouted as he gave the command to others.
With his commands, Mu Lan and Juan moved to help Guo. Although this battle had only started. The overwhelming number was showing its effect as Brian’s group was being dominated by numbers.
Though Qing Yang was quickly able to assess the situation and keep the attack stronger.
Azure Dragon Formation!
It was a formation where eight strong disciples would form the claws of a dragon while the other remains as a body. The body was responsible for defending while the eight strong disciples were focused on attacking.
The more they could kill, the less the body had to suffer so they chose the eight strongest among the remaining ones to become the claws.
Azure Dragon Formation was quite effective as they began to take down more and more of the elves.
But, while they were succeeding, the elves were planning on something else. The main attacker from the elves reached out to his dead comrades. With their blood, he conjured massive blood energy.
[True Forest Resurrection]
The elf roared and that massive blood energy merged with the ground itself. The blood energy managed to turn the incinerated ground into the normal ground and after a while, small buds started to grow.
Brian immediately noticed the massive threat that was rising from the ground but he didn’t make any move. He was planning on letting his group fight so that they would understand the weaknesses of their enemies.
After all, for an entire week, he taught them how to attack their enemies without using spiritual energy. As cultivators, they have the massive advantage of having a strong body.
So, he researched the weak points of humans and other races. He couldn’t train them for the other races but he was able to help them understand the weakness of the humans.
They could use their bodies to fight. And right now, they got a perfect opportunity to fight against another race where they were on the losing side. And, only by using what they learned during this month, they could possibly fight against these elves.
That’s why Brian didn’t make a move and watched them.
Qing Yang was the first one to realize the massive power surging from the ground. The small buds were transforming into bigger trees. But Qing Yang quickly noticed something.
"Dispose of their bodies! Disintegrate those dead bodies right now."
Qing Yang shouted as he turned his blade into flames and incinerated the dead body of the elf in front of him. The trees were slowly pulling those dead bodies inside them.
None of the members of Brian’s legion was dead but if they had to fight the same enemy once again, they would get exhausted by it.
"Yang, what should we do? I think the forest can turn those dead elves into zombies." Juan shouted as he came closer to Qing Yang. His fear was turning real as the dead bodies were slowly rising from the branches of those trees.
But, they didn’t look or even act like zombies. They were more like puppets who had their own consciousness.
"What’s going on? They are basically the same as before. How are we supposed to defeat them?" Tuan Sing shouted as he slashed his ax at the elf in front of him.
Hearing his words, Qing Yang fell into dismay. He looked around and saw Brian standing there with his hands folded in front of his chest. He looked at into Brian’s eyes and suddenly his mind went blank for a moment.
He turned his head and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and after a while, he opened his eyes. As soon as he opened his eyes, his blade moved to slash the arms of the elf.
Splash! Splash!
The blood splattered on the ground and the arms of the elf fell to the ground. The elf shook his body and still tried to move forward. But, Qing Yang quickly moved his blade and slashed his legs as well.
Finally, he stabbed his blade through the elf’s chest. He didn’t look at the corpse but rather stared at the branch of a tree that started sprouting. This branch was absorbing blood and pulling the elf into it.
After a while, the elf came out once more. But, this time, it didn’t have legs and hands so it couldn’t move.
"Everyone, render your enemy useless! Don’t try to kill them rather make them unable to move. They can come back to life but they are basically puppets controlled by these trees."
"Our main enemy is the forest itself. So, we must render these elves useless to fight it." Qing Yang shouted as he continued to move his blade. Each time he slashed, his blade tore the arms and legs of those elves.
Other disciples also understood it and immediately started tearing those elves apart. They also started using clever attacks rather than being reckless.
As they continued to battle, Brian just watched everything from a far. Unfortunately, it seems like the elves had no intention of letting him enjoy the battle.
The elf leader who resurrected those trees rushed toward him, covering ring himself with the branches of those trees. He thrust his hand forward and a branch turned into a drill.
Seeing this, Brian sighed.
"Why would you even try?"
He simply raised his hand and true essence condensed at his fist. Not just the true essence though. There was something else. There was a powerful energy coming out from his fist.
And, this energy was Chaos Energy. When the chaos energy filled his fist, he thrust it forward. His fist collide against the drill and the entire branch shattered into pieces.
Crack! Crack! Bang!
His fist moved forward and struck the elf’s chest, sending him flying toward those trees.
Brian turned around, ignoring the elf. But, the elf leader wasn’t just going to let him do so. He used the branch to cover himself and in less than a few seconds, the wound on his chest was healed.
Seeing this, Brian was surprised.
’Is he using the power of wood to heal himself? That’s quite a nice power to have. Maybe I can utilize it. I should probably get his body to dissect him properly.’
Suddenly, the flames burst out of his foot and he traveled several meters in less than a fraction of a second. He appeared next to the elf leader. Before even the elf leader could react, Brian’s hand turned into a magma fist.
Boom!
As the elf leader turned around, Brian’s magma fist pierced through his chest and the drops of his blood fell on the ground.
