Chapter 526: Chapter 291: The Demons’ Shock (Part 2)
’It’s even possible this sword is a weapon from a dungeon of gods and demons.’
He still couldn’t fully unleash the power of this Longsword.
Fang Zhen’s next move was to raise his Thunder Spear and fly toward Malganis once more.
Having already been severely wounded by Fang Zhen twice, Malganis had lost all of his imposing aura and courage as a Demon Lord.
Upon seeing Fang Zhen fly toward him, Malganis cried out in alarm and scrambled toward Scarn.
It seemed Malganis intended to face Fang Zhen alongside the Shadow Lord.
However, Malganis was far too slow compared to Fang Zhen.
Fang Zhen transformed into a streak of silver light in midair as his Thunder Spear crackled with lightning once more.
The spear was aimed squarely at the back of Malganis’s head.
Despite its massive frame, the sheer speed of the attack made Malganis’s reactions sluggish. It failed to dodge.
In an instant, Fang Zhen’s Thunder Spear pierced the back of Malganis’s head once again.
Instantly, with a deafening RUMBLE, lightning erupted continuously from the wound.
At that moment, the heavens responded, and a brilliant white bolt of lightning struck down, landing squarely on top of Malganis’s head.
Malganis writhed in agony, its head feeling as if it would split apart.
Or rather, it wasn’t a feeling. It really was splitting apart.
Its skull shattered, and black blood gushed out. Malganis had suffered a devastating blow.
But it was a demon, after all. Even with its brain likely skewered by the spear, it still wasn’t dead.
Fang Zhen twisted the Thunder Spear in his right hand, increasing the destruction.
Then, he abruptly raised the Golden Longsword in his left hand. For a split second, space froze, like a corrupted frame on a computer screen.
In the next instant, the Golden Longsword slashed down, cutting into Malganis’s neck.
Though he felt immense resistance, the blade sliced through. With a flash of golden light, Malganis’s head was severed from its neck.
The Flame Demon Lord, Malganis, was beheaded in a single strike by Fang Zhen.
Malganis was over thirty feet tall, with a proportionally massive head. Now, that head was severed, its eyes wide with disbelief.
But it was beheaded all the same. Its gigantic body crumpled, first to its knees, then collapsing to the ground with a thunderous crash.
Malganis’s head was enormous, yet Fang Zhen, clad in his Feathered Iron-Arm Armor, effortlessly impaled it on his Thunder Spear with one arm. He hoisted it high and roared coldly at the demon horde, "The Demon Lord is dead! You’re next!"
Then, with a flying kick, Fang Zhen sent Malganis’s head sailing from the tip of his spear.
Seeing Fang Zhen kick the Demon Lord’s head away like a ball, everyone below—demons, Divine Rune Warriors, and common soldiers alike—was utterly stunned.
In their minds, a Demon Lord was the very symbol of chaos, tyranny, and brutality.
Yet now, they were witnessing someone even more savage—someone who would casually kick a Demon Lord’s head away like a ball.
It was a scene so incredible they had never even dared to imagine it, let alone witness it firsthand. Yet, it was happening right before their eyes.
A profound sense of shock arose in the hearts of both humans and demons.
For a moment, even High-tier Divine Rune Warriors like Osetis down below were in a daze, feeling as if they no longer recognized the world they lived in.
As Osetis and the other Divine Rune Warriors looked at Fang Zhen, an involuntary reverence filled their eyes.
It was as if Fang Zhen was now cloaked in an aura of overwhelming might.
He was in a realm far beyond their reach.
The ordinary soldiers of the Fang Feili Legion, however, had a much simpler reaction: they saw that the Demon Lord had been slain.
This enemy who had seemed to embody despair, an undefeatable foe, had just been beheaded. He died a miserable death, his head kicked away like a ball. An extreme sense of exhilaration swept through the soldiers.
It was as if a great mountain in their minds had been toppled. A fiery current of excitement surged from their skulls down to their toes, making their bodies tremble—not with fear, but with pure elation.
To put it more bluntly: it felt incredible.
The demons they had feared for so many years had actually been struck down.
Instantly, the soldiers erupted into a cacophony of uncontrollable roars.
Some of the stronger soldiers even began hammering the flats of their warhammers and battle-axes against their own breastplates, creating a CLANG-CLANG-CLANG-CLANG that sounded like war drums.
This fervent emotion spread like wildfire through the ranks. Eyes bloodshot, the soldiers were whipped into a frenzied excitement. A single man now possessed the morale of several from moments before, and they charged the surrounding demons with furious roars.
And though they weren’t human, the demons, too, seemed to have something akin to morale.
Seeing their own brutal ruler, the Demon Lord, encounter an even more savage foe and be beheaded, the Little Demons were scared out of their wits. Instantly, their morale plummeted.
With the soaring morale of Phil’s Legion’s soldiers and the demons’ corresponding collapse, the tide of battle instantly turned into a one-sided slaughter.
The Divine Rune Warriors below could only watch, dumbfounded.
In this world, the Divine Rune Warriors held a much higher status than ordinary soldiers; they also knew far more.
