Chapter 505: Chapter 284: The World is Aiding Me? I’ve Grown Stronger (Part 2)
Instantly, a layer of electric current enveloped the spear. The current expanded, completely shrouding Fang Zhen.
Fang Zhen and his Red Hare Warhorse looked as if they were in the middle of a thundercloud, with arcs of lightning constantly flashing around them.
He roared like a legendary War God, his cry powerful enough to shake one’s very soul.
The Little Demons noticed Fang Zhen as well.
They cried out in alarm, seemingly stunned by Fang Zhen’s imposing aura. For a moment, even the demons didn’t know how to react.
At that moment, Fang Zhen charged.
"Die!" Fang Zhen roared, swinging his spear.
With this thrust, he unleashed the Sky Split Seal, sweeping his spear horizontally and sending out a powerful, ripple-like wave of force.
Moreover, the force wasn’t a single wave, but two consecutive waves, one layered upon the other.
At the same time, arcs of electricity surged from the spear in all directions. Like countless Electric Snakes and thunder pythons, they rampaged wildly, shattering several flagstones.
In a single move, Fang Zhen tore apart the dozen or so Little Demons directly in front of him with the Sky Split Seal.
The remaining seven or eight Little Demons on either side were engulfed by the sweeping electrical currents. They instantly shrieked in agony as white smoke poured from their bodies, which then burst into flames, ignited by the electricity.
With a single strike of his spear, Fang Zhen had wiped out over eighty percent of the nearly twenty Little Demons in the area.
Seeing Fang Zhen’s incredible might, the human soldiers firing arrows from the battlements of the manor were first stunned, then erupted into joyous cheers.
"It’s a powerful Divine Rune Warrior!" a soldier yelled. A wave of ecstatic shouts immediately followed from within the walls.
Fang Zhen heard the voices, but his gaze remained fixed on the dozen or so black Little Demons that remained.
Suddenly, he concentrated his source power, gathering it in his Thunder Spear.
Lightning flashed across the Thunder Spear as dozens of Thunder Serpents erupted from it, engulfing an area of over ten meters.
All the remaining Little Demons were caught within the lightning’s range. They were ensnared by thunder, their bodies smoking from the electrocution and wreathed in flames.
In an instant, the Little Demons’ bodies were charred black.
The air filled with the smell of sulfur and a bizarre, meaty aroma.
With a single move, Fang Zhen had swept away all the Little Demons.
The entire battle had taken less than five seconds.
The Thunder Serpents gradually faded from the Thunder Spear. Fang Zhen looked at the charred demon corpses, a thoughtful expression on his face.
His Thunder Spear was strong, but it had never been *this* strong.
It was formidable in the Curse Seal World, but its destructive power had never been so immense.
A moment ago, he had sensed something. Whether it was the Sky Split Seal or the lightning from his Thunder Spear, he felt them resonating with some kind of power that permeated this world.
This resonance was a bit like having a ’hot hand’ while playing basketball.
The moment you release the ball, even before it reaches the hoop, you just know it’s going in.
It was an uncanny, almost metaphysical sensation.
After attacking, Fang Zhen began to understand what was happening.
This world, much like the Crystal Bone Realm, was suffused with an intangible, ambient energy.
His own Thunder Spear and the Power of Curse Seal were being amplified—or rather, they were resonating with—this world’s ambient energy, increasing their amplitude.
This had drastically enhanced their power.
If Fang Zhen’s strength in the Curse Seal World made him a match for a hundred men, then in this world, he had naturally been strengthened to become a match for a thousand.
’This is a good thing.’
Fang Zhen thought for a moment. ’I haven’t lost anything, and I’ve gained a ton of power for free. This is a huge boon.’
He looked at the scene again. The Power of Thunder from his Thunder Spear was incredibly strong, especially with the amplification. The Little Demons were about as dead as they could be.
The soldiers inside the manor also saw this, and their cheers were thunderous.
Soon, the sound of the manor gate opening came from within, and several Warriors in armor walked out.
"Which Divine Rune Warrior saved us? May I ask your family name? Are you a noble? Or perhaps a descendant of a Divine Rune lineage?" a Warrior in armor who looked to be about thirty years old asked.
He wore a suit of full plate armor similar to Fang Zhen’s. It was finely detailed, bearing totems and a family crest, marking him as someone of distinguished origin.
Fang Zhen, still mounted on his Red Hare Horse, studied the men who had emerged.
’No harm in maintaining a superior bearing at a time like this.’
He pushed up the visor of his helmet, revealing his face.
Seeing Fang Zhen push up his visor, the Warrior in plate armor who had stepped forward was suddenly stunned. He blurted out, "Yak? You’re Yak?"
A glint flashed in Fang Zhen’s eyes.
’Oh? This person recognizes the new face and identity I’ve acquired?’
Just as he was wondering how to respond, the bracer on his wrist suddenly vibrated.
As the bracer vibrated, a piece of information entered Fang Zhen’s mind: Rooney.
The sturdy, blond man before him was Rooney Ackson. His father was Viscount Ackson, and as the eldest son, he was expected to inherit the title.
Rooney had been one of Yak’s childhood friends. They had spent a long time carousing together in the Royal Capital, partners in crime and the best of buddies.
But later, Yak’s family suffered a great catastrophe, and he left the Royal Capital. They hadn’t seen each other in fifteen or sixteen years.
