Chapter 187: Ice forest

It was exactly the same case with his pure mana skills, such as his frequently used mana glove.

Every single one of those individual applications had completely vanished from his menu, all having been seamlessly combined together into a single, comprehensive master ability labeled as Supreme Mana Manipulation.

It fused his entire mana foundation control into one absolute, unified domain of authority that gave him direct and effortless command over the very substance of magic itself.

This consolidation of his abilities didn’t mean he had become weaker or lost any of his versatility in the slightest bit though, and it was in fact completely the exact opposite.

He hadn’t been stripped of his favorite moves; rather, the crude and restrictive boundaries of his old skills had been entirely dissolved to make way for a much higher, unrestricted form of power.

By condensing his sprawling arsenal into these two supreme skills, he had actually grown many times stronger, deadlier, and more efficient than ever before.

Noah chuckled softly in the quiet of his luxury suite, a wave of amusement washing over him as he decided to test his newly acquired authority.

He stood perfectly relaxed beside the edge of the massive mattress, raised his right hand slightly into the empty air, and then casually snapped his fingers with a sharp, crisp sound that echoed clearly through the silent room.

The entire room immediately and completely turned into a frozen ice forest, the temperature in the room plummeting below zero in a fraction of a single millisecond.

The polished stone floor froze over instantly, turning into a solid, shimmering sheet of thick blue ice, along with the grand wooden bed frame and the velvet sheets, which were completely encased in a flawless, crystal-clear layer of hard permafrost.

Thick, towering ice trees grew out of the frozen ground along with the sudden frost, their massive, jagged trunks twisting outward and upward as they climbed toward the top of the suite, almost reaching the high, decorated ceiling before stopping.

The crystalline branches spread out wide across the room, interlocking with one another to form an dense, frozen canopy that completely blocked out the view beneath them, transforming the civilized interior into a wild, untamed winter wonderland.

A soft, freezing mist began to swirl lazily through the sudden winter landscape, and delicate, crystalline frost dropped continuously from the chilled air like a gentle, frozen rain, settling softly over the newly formed branches and the frozen floor below.

The terrifying truth of his new supreme status was that if he truly wanted to even, he could actually execute this entire environmental transformation even faster than that, entirely without snapping his fingers, uttering a single word, or making any physical movements at all.

He didn’t require gestures to channel his golden elements anymore, as his mind alone held absolute dominion over the natural world.

He had only snapped his fingers in that moment simply because it felt a whole lot more cooler, dramatic, and satisfying to do, indulging his own sense of style as he stepped into his new identity as a living legend.

A small, proud smile remained on his face as he calmly looked around himself, admiring the flawless, glistening results of his casual spellcasting while he stood entirely unbothered by the biting, freezing temperature he had just unleashed upon his quarters.

He slowly began walking towards one of the massive ice trees that had erupted beside the bed, his boots crunching softly against the frozen sheet of the floor before finally placing a single hand flat against the cold, jagged trunk to feel its incredible density.

Noah felt the biting, crystalline frost against his bare palm, and couldn’t help but marvel at his own creation.

’I can literally charge and rewrite the entire natural environment if I want to.’ he thought.

As a newly ascended supreme magus, his physical body, conscious mind, and internal mana core were now completely and beautifully functioning as one single, unified entity.

Because of this profound synchronization within his mana and elements, he could now effortlessly launch devastating attacks based entirely on his imagination alone, without relying on the system to manually create specific skills for him each time he broke through a level.

He was no longer a student following a set list of instructions; he had become a an absolute master artist who painted his will upon reality using pure elements as his medium.

He realized now, with absolute certainty, just exactly why everyone had been so thoroughly shocked, terrified, and utterly speechless at the fact that the massive ice mountain he released when fighting Tara was still sitting completely frozen out in the wild.

When the battle had finished, the witnesses had stared at the towering landscape in absolute disbelief, treating the residual magic like an impossible anomaly that defied the laws of magic.

Having a simple spell permanently alter the physical environment to that extreme degree was completely and utterly impossible for a normal arch magus to achieve.

Their magic was a foreign force being pushed into the world, unable to permanently overwrite the natural state of the terrain.

According to the ancient records and the global rules of cultivation, the only group of individuals who were truly capable of doing something as legendary as permanently altering an entire landscape with a single spell was a saint.

A saint possessed a specialized core that could resonate with the planet’s natural mana veins, allowing them to leave a lasting scar on the world that could endure for centuries after a battle was fought.

However, the terrifying reality of his current situation was that the exceptional level at which a supreme magus casted an elemental spell was even higher and more absolute than that of a saint, which was exactly the legendary rank he was currently sitting at.

Suddenly, the silence of his frozen ice forest was broken as the dark pool of his shadow began to ripple and churn violently against the thick sheet of ice covering the floor.

A second later, a massive black dragon flew out of the dark void with a fierce, silent intensity, his dark scales glistening beautifully against the white frost as he sought to stretch his wings after his deep slumber.

The ancient dragon hadn’t even flown for very long inside the open room, however, before his massive horn-crowned head almost violently hit the high, decorated ceiling of the luxury suite.
