Chapter 697: Chapter 697
As soon as Butler Ye left the room, Mr. Drexler once again looked at Summer Shawcross, his voice hoarse as he spoke.
"Girl, there’s one more thing..."
"You shouldn’t talk anymore, just rest well." Seeing how much effort it took for him to speak, Summer Shawcross’s eyes immediately grew moist.
Hearing this, Mr. Drexler smiled instead.
"I’m not going to die just yet..."
He hadn’t seen the wedding yet, and wouldn’t leave so willingly.
Listening to Mr. Drexler’s voice, Summer Shawcross felt even more distressed, but could only bite her lip, bow her head, and listen quietly to him speak.
"The good thing I promised to give you, I haven’t forgotten. After I pass away, someone will deliver it to you..." Mr. Drexler’s weak voice slowly reached her ears.
Upon hearing his words, Summer Shawcross finally recalled something.
She had previously promised to help Mr. Drexler fix a crystal cup, and he had promised to give her a priceless gift, although it was actually Noah Drexler who helped her mend the cup at that time.
Had Mr. Drexler not mentioned it today, she might have forgotten all about it...
...
In the small courtyard, Noah Drexler hurried back here, grabbed a tool, and dug under the peach tree, finding an iron box as expected.
He opened the box, and sure enough, there was a silver key inside.
He frowned slightly, then clasped the key in his hand before placing it in the pocket closest to his heart.
As he was heading back with the key, he encountered several hurried servants and security guards on the way.
Several servants, carrying flowers picked from the garden, hurried toward the Drexler Family’s banquet hall.
Seeing this, he frowned but did not linger, instead striding toward the main villa of the Drexler Family!
As soon as he reached the entrance, he saw Summer Shawcross hurriedly descending the stairs.
Seeing him return, the sad expression on her face at last broke into a smile.
"Noah Drexler, you’re finally back!"
"Mm." He nodded and was about to say more when she suddenly came up to him, reached out to grab his wrist, and... without saying a word, began to pull him outside!
Her strength was no threat compared to his, but seeing her eager figure pulling him outside, he showed a hint of resignation and could only follow her lead, walking out of the villa with her.
"What’s happened?" he asked, frowning as he followed her, his voice low.
From the direction, it seemed she intended to take him to the banquet hall?
Hearing his question, Summer Shawcross was already prepared with an answer.
"I plan to hold another wedding with you."
She knew he resented Mr. Drexler, so she worried he might refuse to help, hence her suggestion.
"Another wedding?" Hearing this, Noah Drexler’s expression turned complicated, his gaze fixed on her.
"Yes, our last wedding was too cold, none of your family was there, so let’s take this opportunity to hold another one!" Summer Shawcross smiled and then spoke with a guilty conscience.
"Why not mention your elopement?" Thinking back to the wedding day, his expression shifted.
As he suddenly brought up the elopement, Summer Shawcross stopped in her tracks, her face instantly showing embarrassment.
"Ahem... Wasn’t my head just not straight at the time..." She let out a dry laugh, explaining to him helplessly.
