Chapter 70: What The Giant Slimmo!!
The battlefield had become a complete mess. Flames burned across parts of the valley. Ice covered other sections. Lightning scars stretched across the ground.
And in the middle of all that chaos....
Nobody stared at the gigantic creature approaching from the distance. "...Guys, I think we found the reason why the slimes are here."
Julias looked toward the massive shape. "Yeah...We can see that."
Ethius swallowed. "No kidding."
Mayra tightened her grip on her staff.
The gigantic creature slowly bounced forward.
BOOOOM.
Each bounce shook the valley.
BOOOOM.
BOOOOM.
The closer it came the more terrifying it looked. It was a gigantic rainbow-colored slime. At least twenty times larger than a normal slime. Its translucent body constantly shifted colors. Red, Blue, Yellow. Then back again. Flames flickered inside its body. Snow mist flowed from its surface. Electricity crackled around it. It looked like all elemental slimes fused together into one giant disaster.
The system immediately appeared.

Ethius pointed toward the giant slime. "Forget the resume. Look at the size of that thing!"
The King Slime suddenly absorbed several nearby slimes.

The smaller creatures dissolved into its body. King Slime’s size increased immediately.
BOOOOM.
The ground shook again.
Julias groaned. "We got a giant issue on our hands, guys."
Ethius nodded. "We need a plan."
Nobody spun one crowbar in his hand. "Guys...We have to work together. Thats the only way we beat this crappy giant slimmo dude with teamwork."
Mayra blinked. "...Slimmo dude?"
Ethius pointed. "Can we focus on the giant monster?"
Nobody coughed. "Right."
Mayra stepped forward. "Yeah...We should attack with a proper formation."
Everyone nodded. They quickly gathered.
The giant slime continued advancing.
BOOOOM.

BOOOOM.
Ethius took charge surprisingly quickly. His assassin instincts immediately shifted toward battlefield coordination. "Alright." He pointed. "Julias. Front line."
The goblin warrior nodded. "Got it."
"Mayra. Support and defense."
"Understood."
Ethius looked toward Nobody. "You attack whenever you find an opening."
Nobody gave a thumbs-up. "Professional monster smacker reporting for duty."
"No one calls it that."
"I do."
The King Slime suddenly opened part of its body. A giant fireball formed.
WHOOOOOOSH.
"Oh crap!"
BOOOOOM!
The fireball exploded.
Julias immediately raised his sword.
CLANG!
The impact pushed him backward. Before he could recover dozens of ice shards appeared.
SHIIIIING!
"Incoming!" Mayra slammed her staff into the ground. A green magic circle expanded. "WIND SHIELD!"
FWOOOOOSH!
A powerful barrier of rotating wind formed around the group.
The ice shards shattered against it.
CRACK!

CRACK!
Ethius grinned. "Nice one!"
Then....
KRAAAAAK!
A giant lightning bolt descended from the sky.
The group scattered.
BOOOOOM!
The ground exploded.
Nobody rolled across the grass. "Why does this thing have every element?!"

The battle continued.
Julias repeatedly attacked. His sword carved chunks from the slime. Mayra maintained support. Ethius coordinated movements and weak points. Nobody struck whenever opportunities appeared.
But there was one problem. Every time they damaged the King Slime it absorbed more slimes.

Its wounds healed and the body grew larger. Its attacks became stronger.
Ethius jumped backward. "This isn’t working!"
Julias blocked another fireball. "At this rate we’ll run out of stamina first!"
Nobody frowned.
The giant slime continued growing. The battlefield became increasingly dangerous.
Then suddenly....
A notification appeared before Nobody.

The team looked over.

Ethius almost got hit by lightning. "Really?!"
Julias blocked another attack. "You got something?!"
Mayra maintained the shield. "Tell us!"
Nobody pointed dramatically. "I need one chance."
The group immediately created space.
Mayra expanded her defensive magic. Wind barriers blocked incoming attacks.
Julias moved forward aggressively. His sword drew the slime’s attention.
Ethius began attacking from multiple angles.
The King Slime became distracted.
Nobody smiled. "Perfect." Blue pixels appeared around his crowbars.
SHING.
SHING.
The weapons floated. Then fused together.
CLANK!
A triangular boomerang-like weapon appeared.
The others stared. "...Whoa."
Even Ethius looked impressed. "That looks awesome."
Nobody grinned. "I know." Then he looked toward Julias. "Hey."
The goblin turned. "What?"
"Lift your sword."
Julias blinked. "...Why?"
"Trust me."
Julias hesitated. Then raised his giant sword horizontally.
Nobody immediately sprinted. "Let’s go!" He stepped onto the flat edge.
Then....
JUMP!
BOOOOM!
Using Julias’s sword as a launch platform Nobody soared high into the air.
Higher.
Higher.
Higher.
The King Slime looked upward. Even the monster seemed confused.
Nobody raised the fusion boomerang.
The wind rushed past him. His clothes flapped wildly.
Then he screamed. "EAT THIS YOU GIANT JELLY CRAP SLIME!"
WHOOOOOOOOOSH!
The boomerang launched.
Spinning.
Faster and faster and faster.
The giant weapon flew directly toward the King Slime.
Everyone watched.
The weapon approached.
Approached.
Approached.
Then....
WHOOSH.
It missed completely.
Nobody froze in midair. Ethius, Mayra and Julias froze. Even the King Slime looked confused.
Nobody’s jaw dropped. "...Uh oh. Ahem!"
The giant slime seemed almost offended.
Then....
One second later....The boomerang curved sharply.
WHOOOOOSH!
The Crowbar Boomerang was returning. Much faster than before. The spinning weapon sliced directly through the center of the giant slime.
CRAAAAAAAAACK!
The giant core hidden deep inside its body became visible.
The boomerang struck it directly.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The core shattered. A blinding explosion erupted.
The King Slime trembled violently. Its rainbow colors flickered. Its body destabilized. Cracks spread everywhere.
Then...
The gigantic slime exploded into thousands of particles.
FWOOOOOOOM!
The shockwave swept across the battlefield. At the same moment, every remaining slime began dissolving. Fire Slimes, Ice Slimes, Thunder Slimes. All of them vaporized.
Within seconds the valley became completely silent.
Nobody landed on the ground.
THUD.
The boomerang returned to his hand. The fusion separated back into twin crowbars.
The group stared at the empty battlefield.
Then....
The system appeared.
