The valley had become complete chaos. Fireballs flew through the air. Ice spikes rained from multiple directions. Lightning bolts exploded across the battlefield.
And in the middle of it all, Ethius was running for his life. "AAAAAHHH!"
Several Ice Slimes bounced after him. Their bodies shimmered with freezing mana. Sharp ice crystals formed around them.
Nobody watched from a distance and immediately shouted,"Dude! Stop panicking and fight!"
Ethius nearly tripped over a rock. "Easy for you to say!"
Another ice spike shot toward him.

He narrowly ducked.
The spike embedded itself into the ground behind him.
Nobody pointed his crowbar. "You’re literally an assassin! You have daggers! You have legs! Use both!"
Ethius froze for a moment. "...You know what?" He suddenly stopped running.
The Ice Slimes bounced closer. Their bodies jiggling dangerously.
Ethius slowly exhaled. "...You’re right."
His expression changed and the panic disappeared. The assassin’s instincts took over. Both daggers slid into his hands.

The nearest Ice Slime lunged.
Ethius moved first.

His body became a blur.
The dagger flashed.

The slime split cleanly in half. Its glowing core shattered instantly.
CRACK!
The creature dissolved into icy goo.
Another slime attacked.

Another core shattered. Another slime collapsed.
Then another.
And another.
Ethius began moving through the battlefield like a ghost. His daggers danced through the air. Every strike landed precisely on the cores.
It was no wasted movement. Just pure efficiency.

Within seconds, five Ice Slimes were gone.
Julias stared in surprise. "Damn! Good job!"
Ethius pointed dramatically while spinning one dagger. "Of course. I’m awesome."
An Ice Slime immediately hit him in the face.
SPLOSH.
Ethius froze.
Nobody burst out laughing.
Julias laughed.
Even Mayra laughed.
The slime slowly slid off Ethius’s face. "...I hate everything."
Meanwhile,
Mayra raised her staff. Blue mana circles appeared around her. Then changed into crimson. Flames erupted around the tip of her staff.
WHOOSH!
Several fireballs launched toward a cluster of Ice Slimes.
BOOM!

The explosions rocked the battlefield. Steam rose into the air. Several Ice Slimes melted immediately.
But then....
a strange mist spread outward.
FWWWWOOOOOSH.
The surviving Ice Slimes released freezing fog from their bodies. As a result, the flames weakened. The temperature around them dropped rapidly.
Mayra blinked. "...What in the..."
The system window immediately appeared front of Nobody.

Nobody pointed at the monsters. "We don’t have time for this. The more we think...The more of them will come."
As if to prove his point....more slimes emerged from the hills.

Julias looked toward the newcomers. "...He’s right." The goblin warrior tightened his grip on his sword. "We should focus on beating them."
"Exactly!" Nobody shouted. "Questions later. Survival first."
Julias grinned. "Now that’s a strategy I understand."
The goblin warrior charged forward. His armor clanked loudly.
The nearest Flame Slimes immediately attacked.

Fireballs flew toward him.
Julias didn’t dodge. Instead,he raised his sword. A green aura covered the blade.

The first fireball split apart.

The second exploded against his armor.

The third was cut cleanly in half.
Nobody blinked. "...Okay...He’s cool."
Julias laughed. "You’re only noticing now?"
The warrior suddenly jumped. Higher than expected. Then brought his sword downward. "Mountain Splitter!"
BOOOOOM!
The earth shook. A shockwave erupted outward.
Multiple slimes were launched into the air. Their cores became visible.
Nobody immediately reacted. "There!" He activated Zigzag Teleportation.

He vanished.

Appeared beside one slime.

Core destroyed.

Another slime.

Core destroyed.

Third slime.

Destroyed again.
The battlefield became a blur of movement. Nobody teleported continuously.
Ethius darted between enemies. Julias crushed anything that got too close. Mayra supported from the rear.
For a moment..the group actually looked like a proper team.
Then....

A lightning bolt exploded nearby.
Everyone turned.
Several Thunder Slimes had finally joined the fight. Electricity crawled across their bodies. The ground beneath them sparked continuously.
Ethius pointed. "Oh no."
Mayra pointed. "Oh crap."
Julias pointed. "They don’t back off , do they?."
Nobody pointed. "They just keep coming."
Everyone looked at him. "...What?"
Nobody grinned. "Those guys are thunderslimes."
The others stared. "...And?"
"They look like they’re gonna fry us with thunder."
The silence was immediate.
Mayra slowly shook her head. "Your thought process scares me."
Nobody proudly raised a crowbar. "Thank you."
The Thunder Slimes attacked.

Lightning bolts flew across the battlefield.
One narrowly missed Nobody.

The explosion launched dirt into the air.
Nobody immediately changed his opinion. "...Okay. They are not gonna just fry us, they are also putting dirt in our eyes."

Julias wiped sweat from his forehead. "We need a plan."
Ethius nodded. "There are too many."
Mayra looked toward the distant hills. "...And they’re still coming."
Nobody followed her gaze.
Sure enough...new slimes continued appearing. The valley seemed to be spawning them endlessly.
Nobody tightened his grip on the crowbars. "This isn’t a random encounter."
Everyone looked at him.
Nobody pointed toward the center of the valley. "There."
The others followed his gesture.
Far away something larger was moving. Something much larger than a normal slime. The grass bent around its enormous body. Colorful energy flickered around it.
Julias narrowed his eyes. "...You see that too?"
Mayra nodded slowly. "Unfortunately."
Ethius groaned. "I already know where this is going."
The system suddenly appeared before Nobody.

Then toward the giant shape in the distance.

The giant silhouette continued moving through the valley.

Each bounce shook the earth beneath their feet. The smaller slimes suddenly became excited.

As if answering a king’s call, dozens of slimes started bouncing toward the giant entity.
Mayra’s face became serious. "...They’re gathering around it."
Ethius narrowed his eyes. "That’s definitely not a good sign."

Nobody pointed at him. "Exactly. No one gathers hundreds of slimes for friendly social activities."
