Nina Monroe seemed unaware of Mrs. Kane’s signal. She looked into the camera, looked at everyone, and her voice gradually emerged clearly, "No one threatened me!"
"That night, nothing happened between Young Master Sterling and me. I didn’t say anything, simply because I didn’t want to upset my aunt."
Previously, Nina didn’t directly name who threatened her. Now, as she mentioned "aunt," it was a clear indication to everyone that Mrs. Kane orchestrated all this from behind the scenes.
As she finished speaking, Mrs. Kane’s face turned extremely pale and unpleasant. She never expected her plan to be ruined by her own daughter at this crucial moment! She clenched her fists tightly, glaring at Nina with resentment.
"Alright, the matter has been clarified."
Simon Sterling spoke up, glanced at Mrs. Kane, and said to all the gossiping reporters, "We have things to do, so we’re leaving first."
"Feel free to continue interviewing Mrs. Kane."
"This hotel is under The Sterling Corporation, so you can stay as long as you want."
With those words, all the reporters understood immediately.
Usually, when they follow a prominent figure, if they’re spotted in the hotel lobby, they’d definitely be kicked out. But today, they could swagger in like this.
Initially, they thought it was arranged by Mrs. Kane, but who knew this was The Sterling Family’s territory.
With Mr. Sterling’s words, the reporters were even more thrilled, resolute to get the answers they wanted from Mrs. Kane before leaving.
"Mr. Sterling!"
Mrs. Kane suddenly felt panic. She wanted to step forward and negotiate with Simon Sterling, but the hotel staff came over and escorted the Sterling family away, leaving her and Nina surrounded by reporters.
"Mrs. Kane, did Miss Monroe mean that you framed Young Master Sterling just now?"
"Why did you do it? Was it for the Ford Family and yourself? Did you consider the consequences of doing so?"
"Consequences?" Mrs. Kane coldly looked at the reporter who asked the question.
What consequences could there be!
She set up Wyatt Sterling, getting Nina to be in the same room with him. The consequence was that she could marry Nina to Wyatt Sterling and gain The Sterling Corporation’s support.
"Didn’t you consider Miss Monroe’s reputation?"
A sudden question made Mrs. Kane’s heart tremble. She looked at Nina, who was pursing her lips on the side, opened her mouth, and didn’t know what to say.
She didn’t want to speak anymore, didn’t want to say anything at all.
"Get away! All of you, move aside!"
"Otherwise, I’ll call the lawyer over and sue every one of you in court."

One question followed another. The reporters didn’t show Mrs. Kane the same respect as they did Mr. Sterling, and their microphones and equipment nearly touched Mrs. Kane’s face.
Mrs. Kane had seen such a scene before but never encountered it herself. She retreated, desperately shouting for them to get lost.
She never expected that the trap she set would ultimately turn back on her!
Nina Monroe was much calmer compared to her.
