Chapter 884: Chapter 884: Do You Want to Marry Her?
He didn’t reply to any of them, returned the phone to its slot, and drove back to his apartment.
However, there were reporters at the apartment entrance as well.
The ones at the hotel were arranged by the Ford Family, but these came for the explosive news, and some were onlookers from the internet.
The situation had blown up, and everyone was watching The Sterling Family’s next move.
Wyatt could only drive somewhere else, and on the way, he received a call from Serena Sullivan.
This time, Wyatt answered.
"Brother, come to my studio; there are no reporters here."
Wyatt agreed and drove to Serena Sullivan’s studio.
When he arrived, he expected Claire Sullivan and Simon Sterling to be there, but only Serena was present.
"Dad is handling things at The Sterling Corporation."
Serena noticed the doubt in Wyatt’s eyes and responded.
"Mom is waiting for you at home."
"She’s very worried about you. I’m afraid her emotions might affect your mood."
"Mm!"
Wyatt responded faintly and sat down opposite Serena.
The siblings rarely sat quietly together like this, without saying a word.
"I fell into the Ford Family’s trap."
Wyatt was the first to speak.
Ever since the incident happened, his mood had been terrible.
"Mm."
Serena knew it wasn’t Mrs. Kane’s trap, nor was it Nina Monroe.
"They want you to marry Nina Monroe so the Sterling and Ford families can be tied together."
This was Mrs. Kane’s idea.
The Ford Family was declining, Mrs. Kane and Felix Lockwood’s affair was known to them, and The Sterling Family would only block rather than support Kane Group’s future development.
To preserve Kane Group, Mrs. Kane turned her attention to Wyatt.
"I was careless."
Wyatt said flatly.
He looked up at Serena, who resembled him, feeling somewhat relieved.
Seeing so many reporters at his apartment entrance, he actually wanted to visit The Sterling Corporation.
He caused trouble, so he had to stabilize those shareholders at The Sterling Corporation.
But when Serena called, he wanted to talk to his sister.
"This kind of thing can’t be solved just by being careful."
"You should have guarded against Mrs. Kane earlier," Serena said.
Mrs. Kane had long wanted to match Wyatt and Nina Monroe; even the best precautions were useless.
One was in the open, one was hidden, and Mrs. Kane was such a deeply scheming woman; she must have planned it carefully.
So relying solely on precautions was ineffective.
"Let’s think about what to do next!"
"Do you want to marry Nina Monroe?"
Serena asked, as this was the quickest solution and aligned with Mrs. Kane’s intentions.
"Impossible."
Wyatt’s voice was cold and firm.
"Serena, I will not marry a girl like Nina Monroe."
"Mm."
Serena knew Wyatt never liked Nina Monroe, and after this incident, he probably disliked her even more.
"I know marrying her could solve these problems, but Serena, this is not the result I want."
"Brother, then we have only the second path to take."
"What path?" Wyatt asked.
He trusted his sister; to Wyatt, Serena was smarter than himself.
"Not marrying her!"
Serena smiled; she hadn’t thought of what to do with the second path!
"But brother, I think we should have breakfast first."
After Serena finished speaking, the office door was knocked on, and the assistant came in with lunch boxes.
Serena pushed the lunch box in front of Wyatt, "Have breakfast first, then we’ll come up with a plan."
"Actually, I think Nina Monroe is quite good, but her misfortune is in being born wrong."
"Marrying her would leave everyone uncomfortable."
Even if Nina Monroe is wonderful after marriage, it can’t change this fact.
The best solution is not to marry.
