Chapter 877: Chapter 877:

Renee Grant threatened them with the matter of Felix Lockwood and Wendy Monroe to retrieve the money that belonged to her.

Once she had it, she immediately sent the test report to The Lockwood Family, which clearly informed the Lockwoods and others about Felix Lockwood’s actions outside.

Felix Lockwood received Old Master Lockwood’s call and rushed back to Solaria overnight.

Before leaving the Imperial Capital, he took half an hour to meet Claire Sullivan at Serena Sullivan’s place.

The affair between Felix Lockwood and Wendy Monroe did not affect Claire Sullivan’s mood. As before, aside from making delicious food for Serena Sullivan and Snowy, she spent the rest of her time on herself.

Claire Sullivan is someone who treats herself well. She used to fear aging and dreaded the embarrassment of re-encountering Simon Sterling, all because she couldn’t forget him.

Now, she treats herself even better with beauty and wellness not because she fears Simon Sterling won’t love her but because she’s afraid of not loving herself.

She was returning from a beauty treatment and encountered Felix Lockwood at the door as she got out of the car.

Felix Lockwood had been waiting for her for a few minutes. Since he had to catch a flight, he kept checking his watch, thinking he would wait for another twenty minutes, and if he didn’t see Claire Sullivan, he would leave.

He entered the compound himself and knocked on Serena Sullivan’s door, only to be driven out by Simon Sterling from inside.

He knew Claire Sullivan wasn’t there.

If she were, she would definitely have seen him.

Seeing Claire Sullivan humming a song, stepping out of the car in high heels under the bright streetlight, Felix Lockwood was momentarily dazzled as if he went back thirty years to the first time he saw The Sullivan Family, watching Claire Sullivan happily running downstairs.

She was dressed very simply, in a school uniform.

But for some reason, just at that moment, he saw her smiling so beautifully, and he remembered that smile in his heart.

Over the years, he hasn’t forgotten it, and it’s only because he never had it that he finds everything so precious.

"Claire."

Felix Lockwood stepped forward and called out.

Caught off guard while humming a song and in a beautiful mood, Claire Sullivan paused when she saw Felix Lockwood.

Her gaze towards him was no different than before—no, much colder.

Knowing about the affair between Felix Lockwood and Wendy Monroe, Claire Sullivan wasn’t upset; she couldn’t understand why Felix Lockwood would cheat in his marriage and why he would hide it from everyone.

What he did was unlike the Felix Lockwood she remembered.

"Felix."

Claire Sullivan called out, "What are you doing here?

"Waiting for me?"

Claire Sullivan had this realization.

Felix Lockwood could only be here to wait for her.

Noticing the luggage by his feet, Claire Sullivan continued to ask, "Are you going to Imperial Capital?

Knowing Felix Lockwood was leaving, Claire Sullivan felt a little pleased.

After coming to the Imperial Capital, many things happened; looking back, Claire Sullivan somehow felt they were related to Felix Lockwood.

Take The Ford Family, for instance. Wasn’t Mrs. Kane Felix Lockwood’s lover?

"Mm."

Felix Lockwood nodded, "Claire, there are some things I want to explain to you."

"You’ve explained before."

Claire Sullivan replied calmly.

After Renee Grant made a scene at The Ford Family, she returned to Serena Sullivan’s side, and it wasn’t long before Felix Lockwood called.

She didn’t take the call.

Felix Lockwood then sent an explanation, wrote a lot, mainly explaining his relationship with Wendy Monroe.

After that, Claire Sullivan didn’t really look at it and just deleted it.

To her, the exact nature of Felix Lockwood’s relationship with Wendy Monroe was irrelevant to her, so she didn’t need to know.

Also, she couldn’t see through Felix Lockwood; she couldn’t view him as family anymore.

"Safe travels, Felix."

Claire Sullivan said directly, and after speaking, she turned around to go inside.

"Claire."
