Chapter 876: Chapter 876: Just Can’t Stand Her
"Sis, I’m going to the restroom."
Wyatt stood up and left, and as he passed by Nina, he gave her a cold glare.
Nina kept smiling, as if she didn’t mind Wyatt’s attitude.
"Mrs. Grant, it’s such a coincidence to see you here."
Nina smiled and said to Serena Sullivan again, "The dishes here are quite good."
"Yes."
Serena replied.
She had no issues with Nina; if the girl wasn’t the daughter of Wendy Monroe and Felix Lockwood, she could probably become friends with Nina.
But given that she’s their daughter, neither Serena nor Wyatt could possibly like her.
Wyatt showed his dislike openly, whereas Serena hid hers behind a smile.
"Thank you for the brooch you gave me last time."
Nina politely said again.
Mentioning the "brooch," Serena felt a bit embarrassed.
She gave the brooch to get Nina’s blood, and essentially the DNA of Nina, Wendy Monroe, and Felix Lockwood.
"You’re welcome." Serena replied.
"I’m leaving now."
The conversation got cut short, and being a discreet person, Nina turned and walked a couple of steps forward, then turned back to look at Serena, "Mrs. Grant, I also just recently learned about my background."
"I always thought she was my aunt."
Nina’s voice was somewhat melancholic.
She grew up in the Monroe Family, always feeling a bit different from her siblings.
This difference especially showed when her aunt came back.
Her life wasn’t arranged by her parents, but by her aunt.
After learning about her background and meeting her biological father, her emotions were incredibly complex.
"They..." Nina started to say something and then swallowed her words.
As a daughter, she didn’t have the right to judge her biological father.
"Why are you still here?"
When Nina was about to leave, Wyatt returned from the restroom and said unhappily upon seeing her.
"Bro!"
Serena called out.
Wyatt glared coldly at the downcast Nina, waved to the waiting manager nearby, and angrily said, "Kick her out, don’t just let anyone into the restaurant!"
"Yes, Young Master Sterling."
The manager responded consecutively, ready to escort Nina out, but Nina quickly left by herself first.
Wyatt returned to his seat and complained to Serena.
"Sis, don’t bother with people like her!"
"Hmm?" Serena looked at Wyatt in confusion, "People like her? Brother, what kind of person do you think Miss Monroe is!"
"Annoying."
Wyatt said with disgust.
"I just don’t like her."
Wyatt had never disliked a girl this much before, Nina kept appearing in front of him with Mrs. Kane, coupled with Mrs. Kane’s relationship with Felix Lockwood, which made him dislike her even more.
"If you don’t like her, we should just ignore her."
Serena didn’t dislike as much as Wyatt did; ultimately, because of Wendy Monroe and Felix Lockwood’s connection, they were destined not to be friends.
"Brother, I rarely see you dislike someone so much?" Serena smiled and teased, "Could it be brother that you actually have feelings for Miss Monroe!"
"Sis, don’t jump to conclusions."
"How could it be!"
Wyatt said firmly, "We said we don’t like her and showed our attitude, but she keeps appearing in front of us, isn’t that annoying?"
"Hmm!"
Serena smiled, "People don’t know you’re here eating."
Today was definitely a coincidence.
"Brother, are you full?" Serena shifted the topic, "Do you need to settle the bill?"
Earlier, when Wyatt called the manager to kick Nina out, he exposed the fact that he was the secret owner of the restaurant.
"Bro, is this your restaurant?"
Serena looked at the embarrassed Wyatt and said with a smile.
Wyatt, seeing his lie exposed by Serena, smiled awkwardly; wasn’t it just to trick his sister into coming out for a meal, so he told a white lie?
