Chapter 801: Chapter 800: The Strange Man

When Felicity Sterling couldn’t get Ethan Grant, this man unconsciously became an obsession deep within her heart. Coupled with June Kane’s strong demands, Felicity still harbors some feelings to this day.

She looked up, observing Ethan Grant.

Whether in appearance or in the aura of authority, Ethan Grant surpasses Elliot Walsh.

Elliot is more like the boy-next-door, kind and warm, his smile is incredibly bright, yet it cannot penetrate Felicity’s heart like sunlight.

The easier something is to obtain, sometimes the less people cherish it.

"Mr. Grant, is there a reason you asked me to come?"

Felicity steadied her emotions, determined not to act as impulsively as she had the previous two times.

She remembers how much Ethan liked Serena Sullivan, even if she suspects a conflict between them, she doesn’t dare reveal her delight and excitement on her face.

"Have you decided to marry Elliot?"

Ethan’s voice is indifferent, yet the remark arouses some imagination.

"Elliot treats me very well."

As Felicity spoke, the image of Elliot smiling popped into her mind.

Aside from not helping her return to the Sterling Family and not helping her retaliate against Serena, he is excellent in every other aspect.

Whenever she likes to eat something, he studies how to make it and serves it with the exact taste at the table the next day.

When she’s in a bad mood, he tells many jokes to cheer her up.

If she loses her temper, he stays by her side until she’s finished, then smiles and comforts her.

The goodness of Elliot, which Felicity once despised from the depths of her heart, now warms her as she recalls it.

"What about you, Mr. Grant?

Felicity withdrew her thoughts and asked Ethan.

"How are you and Serena? Is she better now?"

As Felicity asked, her eyes were fixed on Ethan, yearning to hear they quarreled, hoping that Serena’s health is still poor.

Ha! She’s just that biased! 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Since learning about Serena’s existence and her own lineage, she has been stubbornly walking a dark path.

"Alright!"

Ethan responded with two words, making it unclear whether he meant their relationship or Serena’s recovery.

Felicity chuckled, increasingly feeling that Ethan had other matters to discuss.

After a while, Ethan still hadn’t mentioned anything, leaving the atmosphere in the private room so quiet that her heart raced, her ears filled with the sound of wind blowing in through the window.

A screeching sound accompanied the door of the booth being pushed open from the outside. Felicity remained seated, assuming it was a waiter entering, as she elegantly sipped the hot water and flashed a slight smile at Ethan.

No matter what, Felicity wanted to present her best self in front of the man June arranged for her.

She found a topic, "I truly envy Serena for finding such a good man as Mr. Grant!"

Her eyes revealed envy, for marrying Ethan Grant means becoming Mrs. Grant.

Such an identity is far more tempting than being Elliot’s wife.

Yet, Serena—Serena who stole her identity—snatched it away.

"Envious!"

Ethan replied coldly, his gaze falling on an entering middle-aged man.

No, the man’s age is comparable to Simon Sterling, but he appears frail and haggard, convincing anyone he is in his sixties.

Upon seeing Felicity, the man stood frozen, his eyes turning redder with each passing moment.

This scene went unnoticed by Felicity, who had her back to him.
