Chapter 191: Chapter 191) Training her brothers. End of book 1.
"So, my citizens. Don’t feel uncomfortable about my brothers, because I don’t feel that way about them". Anastasia said, before she added, "Standing here is Caden, the eldest twin. And standing here is Chase, the younger twin".
"Please everyone, for my sake, love them. What our Shadows’ pack doesn’t need right now is past hatred. Let what happened in the past, stay in the past". She added, causing everyone’s gaze to soften.
"Our Alpha is right". Someone said, and the rest of them began to nod their heads in approval.
"This is actually a glorious day for our Shadows’ pack!". Another person announced, making everyone support what she had said.
Before long, everyone started announcing their approval.
"We were right to choose our Alpha as our role model!".
"I can’t believe she has such a big heart!".
"All hail our Alpha Anastasia! The best Alpha of our Shadows’ pack!".
I returned my attention to my mate and stared at her proudly. She added, "Also, I would like to announce that, as the current Alpha of the Shadows’ pack, I lift the ban placed on Luciana. She is no longer banished from the Shadows’ pack!".
"That is all I have to say!". She declared, before she turned and walked away from the live news stream. She didn’t even wait for it to end.
’Our mate is sassy’. Nolan said, and I had to agree with him on that.
Without delay, I went into the building, in search of her.
...
Anastasia aka Clara’s pov,
As the live news stream ended, I never expected Caden and Chase to hug me.
It made me freeze and blinked, as I did not see that coming.
"Thank you so much, sister! Thank you!".
"Thank you, big sister!".
Caden and Chase said to me, before I felt something wet made contact with my clothes. I wondered what it was, but hearing them sniff their noses, I instantly knew that they were crying.
I stopped hugging them, placed my hands on their shoulders, and looked into their eyes. It turned out that I was right.
They were crying and were also biting their lower lips.
"Why are you crying?". My heart softened as I asked them and wiped off the tears that escaped their eyes.
"You won’t understand, sister. My Mom... even though she didn’t say it to Chase or me... we knew she had longed to return home. So, I am really grateful to you for lifting her banishment". Caden said to me and fell to his knees.
Even Chase did the same thing, making me force them back to their feet immediately. "Get up!". I declared, as I helped them back to their feet.
I had wanted to scold them, but with how their eyes had gotten red, that was something I decided not to do. Instead, I embraced them. "It is okay. You don’t have to keep on crying". I patted their heads as I leaned and muttered to them.
They nodded at me, but remained in my embrace, while I let them remain in that position for as long as they wanted.
Rita suddenly walked towards me. She smiled at me. "You did the right thing, Alpha". She said to me with a nod, before she added, "About the battle, please be careful out there. Your people need you".
After saying that to me, she excused herself from my presence and left the room.
I watched her leave until I could not see her back anymore.
Her words made me think, but I knew I had to be strong. I would not let anyone go to battle for me. Black shadow’s damnation is mine to bring forth!
Caden and Chase suddenly stopped hugging me. "Feeling better now?". I asked them.
"Yes, sister". They replied to me.
"Then, let us go to the training field. I need to meet my soon-to-be warriors".
I said to them, and just as I was about to flick my fingers, the door to the room opened, and Nikolai walked in.
’Of course. I expected this’. I thought to myself and slightly shook my head.
Before he could say anything to me, I flicked my fingers and teleported to the training field. I made sure Caden and Chase came with me.
Also Nikolai, because I understood that he was persistent and would only track me down if I didn’t let him come with me. But seriously, doesn’t he have his own pack to worry about? Why stick to my side?
I was still wondering this when the soon-to-be warriors noticed my presence.
They stopped what they were doing and mobilized in front of me, knelt on their knees, as they greeted me, saying, "Greetings, Alpha Anastasia".
I nodded at them. "Please get up, my faithful citizens". I said, and they rose to their feet.
"How is your training going?". I asked with a proud smile on my face.
"We are almost ready to smash those bastard demons, Alpha Anastasia!".
They replied to me, with their voices sounding like a thunderstorm.
"Good! That’s good! Get stronger, all of you! So you could follow me to battle!". I declared.
"Understood, Alpha Anastasia!".
"Well. Get back to your training". I said to them, making them dismiss as they returned to their training position.
Soon, I was approached by Delta Madeline. "Greetings, Alpha Anastasia". She said, then staring at Lycan King Nikolai {who had long ceased to wear his black mask and had finally revealed his face to the world}, she greeted him also, "And greetings, Lycan King Nikolai".
"I also greet you, royal princes". She added, while staring at Caden and Chase.
I was glad that my live stream had reached someone.
"Where is Gamma Clark?". I suddenly asked her, because I did not see him anywhere.
He was supposed to be training the soon-to-be warriors, in place of Beta Damien.
"He has returned to watch over the border".
"Oh. I understand". I said, and letting out a sigh, I turned to Caden and Chase. "Both of you, step onto the fighting stage now". I said to them as I stretched my arms above my head and also cracked my neck a bit.
"Eh? What do you mean, sister?". Caden asked me, but rather than reply to him, I teleported him and Chase to the training stage, before I shifted into my wolf form.
"Rrrrrr!". I roared deeply, before I jumped onto the stage.
"What- what are you trying to do, sister?". Chase stuttered and nervously waved his hands at me as he asked me. I could already see a bead of sweat appear on his forehead.
"What are you waiting for? Shift into your wolves’ forms now!". I declared, then added, "Right now, I am not your sister! Both of you should see me as your mentor! Alpha Anastasia! If I were out in battle, how would you protect our Shadows’ pack?! How would you protect our father’s and his father’s legacies?!".
"For me to deem you worthy, you must, at least, land a single attack on me!".
"But-!".
"No buts, Chase! Shift into your wolves’ forms now!". I declared, before I launched at them. In panic, both of them jumped out of the way and shifted into their wolves’ forms, before they finally positioned themselves for battle.
"Nice! Now try to stop my attack!". I declared and launched myself against them again. This time, I did not slow down.
Neither did I intend on showing them any mercy.
As I noticed my soon-to-be warriors gathering around the stage, I allowed them to watch the fight.
That was because I wanted them to understand how worthy they had to be, in order for them to have a chance to stand by my side.
I was mostly referring to the five strongest warriors who I would end up choosing after the warriors spar against themselves in the days to come!
