Chapter 511: Cashing Out at the Bank

"Willow... you’re so foolish..."

Marcus held the graceful beauty tightly in his arms, his voice thick with emotion. Only now did he realize how much pain his hesitation had caused the people who truly cared about him, and the real fool had been him all along.

As long as he stayed true to his heart, and the people he loved were happy, why should he let other people’s opinions dictate his life? Why keep shackling himself to outdated ideas that only hurt everyone involved?

Willow rested quietly against him and whispered, "Women always end up acting foolish when they’re in love..."

Even so, wrapped safely in his embrace, feeling his warmth and hearing the sincerity in his voice, her heart was overflowing with happiness. She tightened her arms around his back, pressing herself close as though she never wanted to let go.

"Marcus..." she asked softly. "You won’t push me away again... will you? You won’t break my heart again?"

"Willow..."

He held her even tighter.

"I won’t."

There wasn’t a trace of hesitation in his voice.

It took quite a while before the two of them finally calmed down. Willow slowly raised her head, her eyes still moist but filled with gentle affection. "Marcus, there are still a few more outfits. Try them on and see if they fit."

"Alright."

Under her attentive gaze, he tried on every piece she’d bought for him. Each outfit had clearly been chosen with incredible care, and he could almost picture her wandering from store to store, imagining how each one would look on him.

When he finished changing into the last set, complete with the tailored suit, matching tie, and polished dress shoes, Willow’s eyes sparkled.

"Honey... you look so handsome."

Marcus laughed awkwardly. "Come on. Isn’t praising your own man a little biased? That’s like a butcher saying his own meat is the best."

Willow immediately shook her head. "My man really is handsome," she said proudly, looking at him as though she couldn’t take her eyes off him. "I’m not exaggerating. It’s simply the truth."

Marcus turned toward the mirror. To be fair... she wasn’t wrong.

The tailored suit fit him perfectly, making him look taller and more refined. Combined with his broad shoulders and confident bearing, he genuinely looked sharp. Pretending otherwise would just be false modesty.

More than that, though, what caught his attention wasn’t himself. It was the reflection of the two of them standing side by side. The elegant, breathtaking Willow beside him made the picture feel complete, as though they naturally belonged together. If they walked down the street like this, people would inevitably turn to look.

Smiling, Marcus slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her into another slow dance.

Afterward, they settled onto the sofa together and spent the rest of the evening talking. Willow shared stories from her years studying in England, while Marcus explained the finer points of Human Rock cultivation and showed her the Olympian Jade Art stored inside the Langhuan Immortal Ring.

Without either of them noticing, the hours quietly slipped away. By the time Willow glanced at the clock, it was already past eleven, and her cheeks turned pink.

"Marcus..." she asked shyly. "Aren’t you going home?"

He smiled and gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"My beautiful Willow is here. This is my home now. Where else would I go?"

Seeing her bashful expression only made his smile grow warmer.

"It’s getting late. Let’s take a shower and get some rest."

Before she could answer, he scooped her effortlessly into his arms.

"Remember how relaxing our bath together was last time?" He smiled knowingly. "And besides... we can cultivate while we’re at it."

"Marcus..."

Willow’s heartbeat quickened, and the warmth spreading across her cheeks became impossible to hide. She still wasn’t completely used to such intimate moments, but as she looked at the man carrying her, the man she had loved for so long, the last of her hesitation quietly melted away.

"Babe..." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she wrapped both arms around his neck, rested her head against his chest, and allowed herself to relax completely as he carried her toward the spacious bathroom.

Looking down at the woman in his arms, Marcus couldn’t help admiring her. She was like a peach blossom in full bloom, graceful, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful. Every subtle expression, every gentle movement seemed naturally enchanting. Holding her so close, feeling her warmth against him, it was impossible for his heart to remain calm.

By the time they reached the bathroom, neither of them had any desire to keep pretending they weren’t deeply in love.

He stepped into the large bathtub with her in his arms and activated the faucet with a thought. Warm water flowed into the tub while the overhead shower filled the room with soft steam.

Their kisses grew longer and more lingering as he carefully helped her out of her clothes, treating every movement with tenderness rather than haste.

Willow leaned weakly against him, completely immersed in the affection he was showering upon her. "Marcus..." Her beautiful eyes were hazy with emotion as she looked up at the only man who occupied her heart. Holding tightly onto him, she entrusted herself to him completely, allowing him to guide both their hearts and their cultivation.

Before long, the bathtub was nearly full. Standing before him, Willow possessed an elegance that almost seemed unreal. Her flawless figure, graceful curves, and gentle beauty left Marcus speechless for a moment.

Unable to resist any longer, he removed his own clothes and joined her in the warm water.

Within the comforting warmth of the bath, surrounded by lingering kisses and quiet whispers, the Human Rock cultivation technique naturally began circulating between them.

Their breathing gradually synchronized as their energies intertwined, each guiding the other’s cultivation while their affection deepened with every passing moment.

Time itself seemed to disappear.

Eventually, Willow leaned against him, her breathing uneven as she murmured with a helpless smile, "Babe... you’re too much."

Marcus chuckled softly and wrapped his arms around her. As the Human Rock technique completed another full circulation, he immediately noticed the difference.

Although the increase in raw inner energy wasn’t dramatic, its quality had become noticeably purer and more condensed than before. More importantly, Willow had benefited just as much from the cultivation.

It seemed genuine love and complete trust between cultivation partners greatly amplified Human Rock’s effectiveness, even without relying on special circumstances he’d previously believed were necessary, and the discovery left him genuinely pleased.

After resting together for a while, Marcus suddenly remembered something.

Reaching into the Langhuan Immortal Ring, he took out a dark-blue jade necklace that shimmered faintly with a mysterious glow, along with the green jade hairpin he had purchased earlier that day.

"Willow." He smiled as he held them out. "I bought you this jade hairpin at the jewelry store today, but after looking through the ring, I found this necklace. I think it suits you even better."

He stepped behind her and carefully fastened the necklace around her neck.

Unlike the hairpin, this necklace had once belonged to Lady Rouyu’s collection within the Langhuan Immortal Ring. Marcus still couldn’t identify exactly what kind of jade it was, but through Human Rock he could clearly sense the rich Water-element energy flowing within it. It was undoubtedly a rare treasure.

As the deep-blue jade rested against Willow’s fair skin, it only enhanced her mature elegance, making her seem even more graceful than before.

Unable to look away, Marcus smiled.

"Willow... move in with me. I want us to live together."

Lily and Amber had already invited her more than once, but hearing those words from Marcus himself carried a completely different meaning.

"Marcus..." Her eyes gradually filled with tears of happiness. She nodded without the slightest hesitation, and unable to contain her emotions, she leaned forward and kissed him.

Marcus returned the kiss with the same warmth, silently savoring the quiet happiness of having her beside him.

---

The following morning, Marcus stayed in bed with Willow until nearly noon. After an entire night of Human Rock cultivation, his own progress had been considerable, but Willow’s improvement was even more obvious.

He couldn’t help grinning to himself. ’This cultivation technique really is incredible.’

Before lunch, he prepared one of the guest rooms for Willow. From that day onward, she would officially be living with him.

After lunch, everyone headed off to their classes. Marcus, meanwhile, logged into Dominion.

Ding!

[Welcome back to Dominion, Stonehaven.]

The familiar system notification echoed in his ears as he reappeared exactly where he had logged out, high above Blue Ant Valley.

He didn’t waste any time collecting Crystal-Tear Berries. Instead, he immediately activated a Town Portal Scroll.

A flash of light enveloped him, and moments later he arrived in Dragon’s Peak Citadel. Without stopping anywhere else, he headed straight toward the system bank.

The reason was obvious: it was finally time to cash out.

The bank was as crowded as ever. Countless players were lining up to exchange real-world currency for gold coins or convert their in-game wealth back into cash. Promotional advertisements for trading services covered nearly every available surface, adding to the constant bustle inside.

Fortunately, the system took player privacy seriously. Unless someone willingly revealed what they were doing, nobody else could tell whether they were depositing money or making a withdrawal.

Marcus had also come prepared. A plain mask from the system store covered most of his face, while a newly purchased casual outfit concealed his distinctive Corpse Demon armor. Blending into the sea of ordinary players, he looked completely unremarkable.

Even if Tactical Drunkard or Invincible Strong happened to walk right past him, they wouldn’t recognize him in the crowd, exactly the way he wanted it.
